I am personally not a survivalist and do not know a lot of tricks on surviving without common tools and such. Therefore for me, it would not be very realistic if my character knew how to do a bunch of survival things simply by me selecting from some options like scraping a can of tuna on some cement. In fact... I'd probably cut myself open and bleed to death if i even tried to use a screwdriver or knife to open a can... so in real life, I would search a house for a can opener. However, I think it would be cool if they implemented a system where the longer you survive then the more survival tricks your character learns and can then implement. Almost like leveling up.
