As an old member of some hackingsites (don´t worry, i was serveradmin in the first Americas Army game and needed direct input), i see more and more "nice" and confirmed working hacks/scripts showing up. Now, where do i report them without making them public so even more morons get the idea of trying them out?
-
Of course not! Sent it to a BEdev-Sable yesterday. If he hasn´t read it by tomorrow i´ll forward it to some more people.

Are they serious with these new pistol spawns?
AmmokKDE replied to Rick1633's topic in General Discussion
I BET A penny it is! But seriously OP: don´t go insulting, it helps noone... -
Desktop Monitor resolution: 1920x1080 CPU: Intel Core i7 2600 @ 3.40GHz Graphics card: Palit DualFan 1535 MB nVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 RAM: 8.00GB Dual Kanal DDR3 @ 686MHz (7-7-7-21) SSD: No Full checklist: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/BVKmIJ5ziFYRFnK4uylEjwl Running a mix of optimised settings for no killing too much eyecandy and still being able to play competitive. Besides that, i locked my FPS at 45 because that´s fluid to me and everything beyond that would just make my PC louder for no reason. That being said: the game runs very decently and also higher settings run fine, i just deactivated them for the reason i stated above.

Concretely: what differs the pro from the noob?
AmmokKDE replied to MarchmelloMan's topic in New Player Discussion
Mainly? Playtime! More details? Head inlands and leave the coast immediatly. Get a mate to team up with. Play, play, play, play. Don´t trust anyone! -
And why do you intend to run to NEAF or Elektro? Just don´t go there. Either you get killed (as it seems you do) or it´s empty. Get away from everything at the coast, it´s just worthless in 90% of the time. Head inlands, there´s lots of loot, lots of cities, lots of nice places and very few people there. Try it, it´s worth it! Oh and btw: coast spawns are intended. At least for now.

Which is interesting because i met the nicest people on russian servers. It´s the internet after all, everyone can join everywhere and you don´t know where the people on the servers are from. Just try to play with some people you know and have a good time. Anywhere!

Enemies spotting me in the bushes
AmmokKDE replied to BlinkingRiki182's topic in New Player Discussion
Really bothers me as well. There should be servers where you cannot change your graphics below a certain point. I mean, you don´t have a potent PC just to turn everything down to have a chance... -
USE FOR PAPER IN DAYZ! a.k.a. How I play DayZ
AmmokKDE replied to Sinphaltimus's topic in General Discussion
You have to be pretty confident to post your cheating in the official forums! -
1. I am pretty sure noone can get your server closed down legally, just because DEVs tell you how you have to set up your (<-- YOUR!!!) server. 2. Whatever server hoster i go and take a look, there aren´t any rules at all about what you may/may not do. And i certainly doubt all those hosters are breaking the rules themselves by not telling you in advance. 3. Kicking everyone upon joining is allowed but naming your server like you want to isn´t? You can´t be serious...

Curious about peoples 'Rules of Engagement'
AmmokKDE replied to UNDERWORLD's topic in General Discussion
Been thinking about this as well, as posted before. I guess like in all games most people aren´t even on the forums. Ever. But i´ve done the math. 9.106 pages of members, with each 20 people on it. Gives us 182.120 people playing DayZ & DayZSA. Mod has 1.737.741 players, SA has something over 1.000.000 (can´t look right now, site won´t load). Now that´s roughly only 10% of players that are on the forums at all! Of those 10%, only half of them are "friendly", makes about 5% overall to be "confirmed" friendly. Yeah, that totally fits on my experience ;) -

Wow what?! Almost 50% come in peace? Only met one person like that before... -
Well, losing something sounds actually as a great thing to add realism. Only thing missing there are the sounds when something drops, so you are aware of it. Oh, and servers where it doesn´t take 30 seconds before an item appears! But overall, i totally like the idea of losing things. Well that works for Army Vests but what about your backpack?

Teleported to the ocean by some hacker **** and now my char wont die..
AmmokKDE replied to Stylesz_Live's topic in General Discussion
Nope, not bullshit. Last time i did it, to add our clantag, my old character was gone and the new one was there. But maybe THAT was a bug and not intended. However, that´s what happened. Too bad it didn´t for the OP. -

Change your Steamname. For now this will create a new character. -
Well, seeing ArmA 2 still kindof killing my PC while ArmA 3 runs perfectly on maxed settings, including 5000 visionrange, i guess everything is possible. NORMALLY, it gets better and a boost about 10-30% is normal. However, even if that sounds much, in your case you will end up somewhere between 22- 33 FPS, which will still be pretty awful to play ;)

Well, i like the idea and i support the thoughts behind it. However, i would love to see the time of the day that is actually on the server before i join, so there is some hopping needed until i find one that suits me. Also an actually visible history would be great as well. For now, if the server restarts, you have no clue where you were.

I told myself so often "next time you just shoot them instead of trying to be nice" and once more i get killed... I mean, it´s just plain unlogical. Whenever i am fully equipped with camo stuff, M4 with tons of bullets, backpack full of food and drinks and whatsoever and i encounter another person which is also fully or almost fully equipped i think by myself "why should we even risk losing all that? It took us lots of time to get there, let´s just walk our way and have a nice day". But noooo! Every single encounter i have, people start eather shooting right away, logging out or whatever other crap they love to do. When i tell them to keep calm and just keep doing what they are doing, they try to freaking attack me. Always! Haven´t one single encounter that didn´t try it. Well, except for the guy that just spawned 2m in front of me and ran away in panic. For what? If i wanted to kill him, he´d be dead before he even logged in decently... But to be honest: staying alive is easy, at least for now. Wait till bullets are actually worth something and fighting off zombies will require teamwork. One day you wont be able to keep 600 bullets and drink from every pond without any fear. Those days will come. And survival will be written in big letters!

Fully agree on this thread. Would make everything so much better. Those random sounds are just annoying as hell. I mean, even on empty servers they are there, all over the place! Why?! -.-
