I thought i had a guardian angel last night, came across a zombie then shots started a'poppin, zombie goes down... sweet! Turns out the guy has a shit shot, he was aiming for me the whole time as i found out a whopping 5 seconds later whilst i'm stood there going for a high five.

The channel 'Ginx'. We have Virgin Media and this channel popped up a couple of months back called Ginx in the upper 200s (286 iirc). Its purely a gaming channel. I popped the tv on and it was mid review, me and my pal assumed it was going to be a PS4/XBO game and it looked terrifying! We only saw about 30s of game play followed by an interview with the game producer. Next thing i am having a meeting with my accountant who said he is going picking up a brand new gaming laptop mainly to play Dayz, i then found out it was on steam so promptly dld it and now here i am! I have only come across 3 players in a few horus of playing. One had just spawned and punched me to death. Another was stood in his underpants with two versions of himself dead in the road. I tried to speak but he didnt move or respond. Then another dude who was sprinting up the road towards me. I put my hands in the air, he saluted back then sprinted off.... it was nice. Encountered about 7/8 zombies and just managed to kill one for the first time!!! WOOOOO HHOOOOOO axed it into oblivion. I am using my internal mic (or at least i think i am!) I have no way of telling if people can hear me or not!

WOO HOO!! Survived!! I am surprised how long he can sprint for.... the same can be said for the zombies lol. Made the initial sprint for a good while down a huge hill through trees, hid in a bush and waited and the woman burst on to my screen through the bush i absolutely sh#t myself. Sprinted again and the screen seemed to fade abit, made it into a house followed by the F button not wanting to work while i frantically tried to shut the front door! All safe......for the time being!

Sorry about the radio silence! Had to go for a walk with the Mrs, listening to me shout help into the microphone for 10minutes pissed her off i think hahahaha. Your right i should just make a run for it, but i really do like this hammer! As for where i am i really have no idea, i was at the coast near a big grain silo type thing which i climbed up some ladders and got on its large flat roof, then i climbed down and walked up a hill/forest where there was a large opening with this red and white aerial tower which i proceeded to climb :) I am not sure whether to go down the ladders take a beating and sprint off OR as NuckFuts suggested climb onto the lowest platform and jump off the edge and see if he survives the fall!

So i wanted to enjoy the view and climbed up an aerial tower at the top of a hill, low and behold it seems to have attracted the local zed population and all i have is a crappy hammer that is worse than using the old meat clubs! I would really like to not die again!

Okay so i now have mumble! Its set up but unfortunately the only mic that will work is the internal mic as my other head sets have microphone/headphones combined into a three pole jack and i think my mic input on the laptop requires a mono jack :'( So i am setting up my wireless keyboard and mouse so i don't have to listen to every keystroke i make!

It was a very good butty! Just looking into teamspeak/mumble now, it appears you have to pay for teamspeak?

Thanks for all the very quick replies :) Just going to have a bacon butty and a brew then get on it! What is TeamSpeak/Mumble? I assume this is what lets me talk to other players? Is it not possible to talk to people without them? I am playing on my laptop so i may get my wireless keyboard and mouse out so i actually have a mouse rather than a touchpad to play. So regardless of what server i log on to my character will be the same as i left it? And each server is the exact same map just with different players obviously? Thanks again and sorry for the basic questions! Whats combat logging? Why avoid the coast and airfields?

Alreet chaps! I am a complete noob to this game, saw it on the tv and thought i have to get it! Played for an hour yesterday and i am going to have a good few hours today....... However i have a few questions! If you can't save then what on earth do you do if you want to leave the game? I can't enter any doors unless i sprint at them? (Is this a version issue?) If i have a friend who is also going to play online, how am i supposed to meet up with him? I take it there is no way of spawning next to friends? So far i have come accross 2 zombies. My first ever spawn there was one infront of me so i tried punching it to death but that just made me pass out/die. The second one i came across literally scared the life out of me, so i gave it a few digs to the face, sprinted for a while, spun around and it was face to face with me, once again scareing the life out of me!
