the point of this thread is "pve is there, you just have to try for it" and the players keep saying "nope, mostly just kos" grouping/clanning against other players isn't pve... its pvp. grouping/clanning to help other players isn't pve... it's being a carebear/tryhard/roleplayhero

oh. "stealthy" RP clanner playing hero with an LRS mosin on the coast. moving on to valid poster... the only tension lasts about 5 seconds, the time it takes to see how geared the other player is and weather to run or shoot unless you are solo, you don't know jack fucking shit about getting kos'd while trying to "interact" in a friendly manner. that's why i kos exclusively, fuck this interaction bullshit

if walkies were removed would anyone care? if walkies were removed would it affect the game at all? if walkies are left in, what possible benefit could they serve the player, that VOIP doesn't do more effectively anyways? -
please. lemme guess you play low pops, avoid all towns cities and if you do you're proning in 3pp and combat logging the second you hear gunfire? either you're for player interaction, which means a LOT of kos, or you're some kind of solo ninja avoiding everything, or you're a clanner and running with 5+ people with m4's isn't really "avoiding" shit and is looking for action

chalk, that you hold in your hand to mark areas, point arrows in town as markers, different colors and sizes, "used" the more you "write" very small markers and symbols for team communication or silly drawings on the sidewalk.

example: my friend walks into a town he thinks im in. but doesn't see my telltale pink cock n balls symbol of teamwork on the first road sign into town... he knows i wasn't there and moves on... or whcih way back to the car/item/way out? oh yeah, follow those yellow chalk arrows we drew on the buildings and the sidewalk...

"right click zoom fuction and ads zoom" turning down my fov increased my acog and LRS zoom range considerably -

zombies suck right now. i don't expect them to be bare minimum playable until later this year. i think they will always suck, even post-release, 50 patches in. -
the only way "pve" works is by turning on friendly fire. then the game's "player interaction" becomes: "hey do you have food/meds/drink/blood? no? ok cya" as apposed to now, which is: "hey are you... POW."

poisoning what wells? those water pumps or the boarded up empty ones? i'd like to see a full pop server all vomiting into the the lake/pond to try and "contaminate" it i say keep spreading disease simple and effective, like the mod did

to the op: you got one-shotted by the zombie. it happens, it is a bug due to the increased damage. you weren't shot. your player can hear the game world as you die and after it, so you would have heard the shot. snipers aren't op silent ninjas, yet.

if infected wounds, passing the cold and bleeding, hunger thirst broken bones and unconsciousness were as far as they go, i'd be the mod and that is a good place to stop before its so complicated just to keep your player alive while idle not in combat

i'd say try the mod with your friends. you will have more fun playing that instead, while you wait for the release next year (maybe)

3rd person is used to camp with maximum field of view, so you can get the drop on someone running into a town hardcore isn't any safer, really. we're better players without the 3pp crutch wall hacks.

putting 50 million unnecessary obstacles in the way of that survival isn't challenging sickness, disease, poisoning, bleeding, vitamins, pain killers, splints, morphine, saline, blood transfusions, injections, blood testing, heart attacks... what's next? allergies?
