this game will not make it to a console port. my prediction. also, a controller is very, very ineffective in this game and i use a controller for a lot of PC games. bottom line, BI won't share profits with MS and vice-versa.

acog is useless unless you know the hidden "semi-auto fire" key... most players don't know about this. acog needs proper 4x zoom rather than an alt-magnification setting. my 2 cents peace

Worst DayZ players I've ever met?
pacific_coast replied to Crazy_Spider's topic in General Discussion
haha. bandit tryhards emulating youtube videos. they fall the fastest! also thinking he can ironsight you at 50m with an m4 on full auto... lol. don't waste time on these teamspeak "bandits" - just kill em. -
inland to scavenge and live, coast to fight and die. also coast to troll freshies. lol.

Where are the updates? **crickets chirping**
pacific_coast replied to Spinnyd223's topic in General Discussion
there is something satisfying about being with the project and watching it's development. unfortunately: you will be flamed for suggesting the game is taking too long in between stable updates. there are VERY dedicated dayz fans here, who will destroy all negative opinions... and there are reasonable but arrogant elitists who make valid points but are total dicks while doing it. then there are straight up dayz-player haters such as myself who lol so hard at these whiner threads and the tryhard fanboys who take the troll bait. -

How you can fix crashing after moments of joining server
pacific_coast replied to BUckENbooz's topic in General Discussion
it works because it forces steam to re-download and apply the latest battleye security. just delete battleye folder and not the whole dayz folder. -
Survey: How many of you played the Mod or ArmaII/III?
pacific_coast replied to airfell's topic in General Discussion
i'd say 70-90% of SA players came from frankie's yt vids. low ball estimate. -

Regarding recent cheat accusations [Video for analysis]
pacific_coast replied to simonhedin's topic in General Discussion
hacks exist. exploits exist. most "cheating" is either desync or client-side file manipulation. there is no way to counter this ATM. we can only wait. -
Bandits, Bandits, Bandits; everyone gets a Bandit!
pacific_coast posted a topic in General Discussion
noun noun: bandit; plural noun: bandits; plural noun: banditti 1.a robber or outlaw belonging to a gang and typically operating in an isolated or lawless area. "the bandit produced a weapon and demanded money" synonyms: robber, thief, outlaw, gunman, crook, mugger, gangster, raider, freebooter, hijacker, looter, marauder, bandito; ... you didn't get robbed. you didn't get restrained. you didn't walk away. YOU WERE KILLED. ON SIGHT. The person who killed you was not a "Bandit". also, a person, or a group of people in the distance and maybe armed... aren't bandits either. you didn't get robbed. you didn't get restrained. you walked away. they were other players. this game is full of them. if they didn't rob you, they aren't a bandit and you aren't a hero, either. fellow gamers, please don't let this slang noobery pass into the dayz lexicon. sincerly giving zero fucks, pacific coast -
Is there a current list of loot spawn locations?
pacific_coast replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
this is valid. if i didn't know firestations were the only reliable spawn point for fnx mags and walkie-talkies, i would have never found a firestation inland aside from the empty one at nwaf. or run around for hours opening the same buildings until you've memorized the empty ones also, the loot spawns are usually 50+ items x 5 conditions, randomized across all spawn points. crazy, but i like it. -
Will DayZ SA die out to Mods just like the Mod did?
pacific_coast replied to cywehner1234's topic in General Discussion
my modded SA server looks like this: Pacific Coast Party [PcP] 24/7 HARDCORE / NO LOOT RESPAWN / WEEKLY RESTARTS / 3PP:OFF / REAL ZOMBIES* *real zombies mod - slow, moaning zombies in the thousands, one bite infection, all characters become npc zombies on non-headshot death, ect ect that's what modding is to me. fixing or changing the game so it is playable or better, depending on preference. oh, you can all host SA vanilla servers and never touch a modded server, if you want. -
"Everytime someone says "It's Alpha", this game takes a week longer to make." at this point i think we'll be getting a notice that beta has been delayed to 2016 due to complications surrounding desync while removing supressors around dogs while on horseback but someone will complain about it on the forums and the replies will be the same apologetic kissassery as now there is something to be said about holding someones feet to the fire stuff get gets done quicker that way i don't get the level of fanboydom and excuses this community makes for the snails pace of development the elitism is unjustified for a lot of you, yeah i played the mod too! and i read the alpha disclaimer... but... is there a reason to follow the development to release anymore? watching the introduction of all the shiny new features that pad the game and add nothing isn't going to fundamentally un-flaw this game, or make it worthwhile to keep playing through the next year(s?) until it is "finished" running around with clanmates on Teamspeak is a stop-gap, an attempt to make the game "playable" just because you aren't bored doesn't mean the game aint boring as hell right now deathmatches in elektro are not the point of this game. tldr = i wish people would keep it real, stop being tryhards and fanboys and actually talk about what could make the game better also this was a rant im still playing and will kos you and your companion pets hope this remains interesting enough not to flop on release and fade into cult-gaming-obscurity
