yeah, the little novelty hat ones to protect your head too lol but seriously, umbrellas, put them in inventory slot for melee weapons used as melee, opened and "held" to protect yourself, another player or gear from rain. i've got this whole other though process about tarps and rain catchers for fresh water going on right now dont know if to post in suggestions or just start building a rain overhaul mod lol also, the trees think they are prtoecting you from rain, the trees think they've stopped protecting you from rain

hmm. well, it's back to rags for me! it would be cool if this is the first steps to bandages being used to "heal" wounds/bleeds and not just stop the bleeding the bandage stays on and is changed, better quality ones heal faster ect ect but right now... for the rest of you: DON'T BOTHER WITH GREEN BANDAGES THEY ARE BROKEN RIGHT NOW, PEOPLE!

i can't wait to mod this game. if anyone has modded or played modded arma series, fallout series, elder scroll series, grand theft auto series... you know what i want to do to this game on release. such as Ultra-highres textures for EVERYTHING animations, physics and world overhauls and changes things that will not be implemented into the release stable things i really want: jerry cans with gasoline trails, slow, lumbering-retextured-zombies, custom player skins and outfits, weapon skins, combat and condition overhauls, and most importantly, REMOVING terrible things that you've always hated

imo looting towns are not risky just gotta quickly kill zeds that agrro to you with axe i'd say desync in towns while a lot of zeds are attacking you is what is risky i desynced and was "pushed" out of a 2nd story wall and died, or desynced and turned grey-screen bleedout surrounded by zeds. dat desync mannnn -

yeah i give props/beans for that post gave me new info that no damage to chest/vest/shirt thing was weird, i thought it had to be bugged i was in the rain, vest taking no dmg from rain, soaking wet, getting hit by zeds = items and gear pristine still, but bleeding constantly all in all this was a good patch that takes up back on track. cold and sickness make the rain system useful and challening, rainguards and using the rain to your advantage will be interesting to see implemented

also if anyone has noticed this: bandage: the single, green military one is not working properly. doesn't have a "use" option in the scroll and doesn't stop a bleed if manually applied while bleeding. is this a transition to "wound care" or does the bandage give a health/Heal over TIme bonus? can anyone confirm

i was aware of most the stuff not implemented yet like cooking, but did not know sickness was off also, zeds hitting me in hardcore literally causes a bleed every hit. i think one hit hit my backpack and didnt cause a bleed. they hit my chest in hardcore, cause a bleed but no damage to shirt or vest or items therin (i took 10-15 hits for SCIENCE and still got no damage, just fixed a lot of bleeds and used up my bandages) that was my impression for game balance, but in terms of realism the 1911 uses a different firing mechanism than current .45's the 1911 is like the AK of .45's simple and durable, also the older .45 ammo weighed a ton so maybe that's it.

when someone get's kos they rage extra hard if they see that it was a fully-mil-kitted "COD KID" with a silence bizon/full m4 extra points for pre-pubescent shrill voice over comms proving your 1337ness. this is the basis for all anti-miliary weapons vitriol. -
i was in a melee showdown with a zombie on the second floor of electro hospital we both "swung" at each other at the same time his melee swipe, or my axe swing, of the collision of the two, caused me to be pushed back and clip out of the hospital second floor. dead, by broken zeds vs broken melee.

it seems like the devs have this plan: step one port the mod to the "new engine" step two put a price tag on it and grant "alpha acess" step three add minor junk as placeholders for months step four "optimize" the game step five release it "finished" they are cramming shit into it to see if it will break the engine, so a delay in development can be justified the game would have to be offline for MONTHS for optimization your talking about if we can still play a "broken" product, it's technically not "broken" -
1911 is extremely underpowered two hits for guarateed kill on zed one for fnx45 fnx45 carries 8 more rounds, carries silencer/ flashlight /red dot sight fnx is the superior weapon in game right now 1911 mags are way too rare considering the gun is a placeholder in the damage tiers

the zeds causing bleed every hit regardless of gear/ gear not getting damaged by zeds is not "threatening" it is annoying, now i have to carry extra bandages -

GUN. we need this in game. a million uses. night becomes real, son. military/police variant. i love me some road flares, hoo boy, believe me.. but hot damn i want a FLARE GUN chemlights should also be duct taped to arrows to light up inaccessible areas and high points, or as a...
