Ok, I tried Window Mode again and it worked, all the red went away, but if I change the size of the resolution again, the red comes back. Edit: Nevermind, I restarted the game it doesn't work :/ False alarm.

It's not the graphics card as the card is still new and DayZ isn't a very heavy graphic game. If I can run games like Metal Gear Revengance or Skyrim on max graphics, I'm pretty sure I can run DayZ. The drivers for it were recently updated though, could that have some sort of effect on the game? I tried both of these steps and neither helped.

Bump? Hoping someone else might know what's going on.

A friend of mine took control of my pc to see if he could find the problem and he couldn't find any. We tried in windowed mode and it didn't help. We just came to the conclusion that since my drivers for the graphics card was recently updated and the game is still in alpha, that the game might not be up-to-date with it. I don't know.

A friend downloaded the game and has Windows 8.1, but can play it just fine with no problems. He also has Aero on.

This hasn't happened with any other game and the graphics card is barely a year old.

Already have :/ Edit: Tried adjusting gamma, didn't help.

I just payed $30 for a game that I can barely play. I've checked to make sure all my drivers are up-to-date and I verified the files in Steam and it said everything was fine. I've tried reinstalling the game, but nothing has changed. Why is it like this?
