Yes, but you should really get a new MB. Which MB do you have? (Sounds bit old) Plus, what's the slot type on your MB? DirectX relies on card drivers mostly, plus OS version. (If you Google the card, it'll tell you which version of DX you can go up to)

It was the most intense gaming experience I've had in a while, even though I spent most of it unconscious! Just hearing everybody scrambling to first locate then flank this guy... superb!

Could try going to a previous restore point (Type restore into the text box). Or delete the driver, and try the windows default one for a bit to see if its definitely the hardware playing up. The fans are dead easy to replace by the way, you just need a bit of gunk (thermal transfer putty) to put between the fan and the GPU. then there will be a 2, 3, or 4 pin connector that goes somewhere on the motherboard - it'll be marked up 'GPU FAN' or something like that. Make sure all the fans are rotating by the way, and not snagged

Agree - right now it is pointless - just hope the Devs are keeping a beady eye on the discussions here... Looking at the rest of the 'discussions' going on here, it always amazes me how people seem to come across; scared, angry, keyboard brave, young, old, ranting, kind, homicidal, etc... I wonder what it would be like if we were all in a room chatting with the devs with a cup of tea and biscuit - very different, hilarious I recon - people wouldn't recognise the actual human from their posts.

I think the argument for separate PVP and PVE servers is definitely valid... I'd love to go on actual friendly servers. - Based on actual PVP kills, not some kind of hat thing or whatever (Off to play BF4 TDM now - where PVP should stay!)

To give it a twist, my film inspiration for the way I hope this game somehow turns out: Zombieland - clown zombie Sean of the Dead - defending a pub 28 Days later - escaping out of the tunnel Dawn of the Dead (2004) - rooftop celebrity headshot scene (And the 'Have a nice day' music at the start) Night of the living dead - slow moving dread horror type stuff ...I also wish that everybody on this and most other forums gave people the same manners they would afford someone face to face... I know, no chance - but I live in hope!

You said pve has no place in dayz. You mean it should be pure sb (which is looking like 90% pvp?) no rules? Id love love to try pure co op you see. Needs more zombies of course... but that will come.

People confuse camping outside an airfield and sniping with 'combat'. I'm preying for co op servers separate from pvp servers based on a players pvp kill count (pvp server only) or zombie count (either). Im always at a disadvantage as I try not to kos, had a guy in my sights last night, and could have fired but waited... *blam* so my style is swinging to kos I think which isn't why I bought this game, as its the co op against z herds which I think will be more fun
