Ah I see. It will come in handy if one gets injured and get your clothes ruined. But since pristine clothing isn't exactly rare at the moment, it is mostly useless.
-
So I found the sewing kit: Ain't it pretty, with flowers and all? There is now an option "Patch clothing item x": All my clothes are either pristine or worn though. I tried using it on the worn items, and it says "Clothing item x has been patched", however it is still worn. Anyone else having any experience with this? Perhaps tried it out on badly damaged or even ruined clothing?

You can find them in the barns with the stairs, and in the workshops in towns.

Are there black cargo pants in the game?

It is also insanely rare. I have never encountered it, only the olive one. -
It is a quite accurate depiction of what happens if you run down the main street of Elektro without any form of stealth movement.
-
Found one, in a corner café I think. It was brown, but it was badly damaged, so I left it there.

Remove Spawn Timer when joining same server.

The downside would be reappearance of ghosting. -
Revenge on a pair of bandits who executed me

It was most likely the guy he killed coming back to loot his own body. -
Despite dilligent searching I have yet to find it. Found tons of Mosins.
-
I don't prefer "shiny milgrade weapons", I do prefer civilian weapons or older weapons with some wood on them. I just happen to think that particular gun is aesthetically unpleasing. I much prefer the SKS or the Mosin (or the K98 for that matter).
-
But apparently they use the m4 as their standard weapon. Seriously, things are being added to the game all the time, so this is likely not going to be an issue sometime in the future.
-
I have no idea either. It is ugly and it looks like an airgun and the rifle of some fancy pants rodeorider mated and had kids. But I like the diversity that is beginning to appear in this game when it comes to guns.

Don't forget the B95.
-
Me too. Until then it is a no go for me.
-
Was that on stable or experimental branch?
-
It could be quite interesting if a group of players tried out a Napoleonic reenactment. All armed with Mosins with 1 round chambered and bayonets, lined up in two little neat rows facing each other. Ready aim fire, CHARGE!! Other than that I see little use for the bayonet,

Can't wait to go on hunting trips up north!

While I do appreciate the work they do on the map, it is indeed beginning to feel a little cramped. Less and less actual wilderness and more buildings. It would be great if the map could be expanded, but I guess that would be impossible for various reasons. -
The new logout system is bad. Very, very bad.

Perhaps, but that is certainly not the message concieved by the thread title or the screenshot posted about WoW. -
Airfields and military bases are dumb
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to rodolfoxiii's topic in General Discussion
It is rather obvious that the current loot system is mainly in place to test whatever new items are introduced (hence the abundance of new items after each spawn, while various items gets rarer). The current system is in no way near representative of how it is going to be. However I don't know if it is going to be so randomised as you suggest, even though I personally think it is a good idea. It doesn't make any sense to have military loot spawn only at airfields and civilian loot only in civilian places. The loot is clearly not leftovers from civilisation but leftovers from other survivors, which is why any item could technically spawn anywhere. -
I have noticed a considerable lack of newspawn coast snipers on the hardcore servers as well. I don't think the hardcore servers attract more friendly players, I just think that they scare away more of the noobish sniper-and-murder-everyone-we-see players, because they can't watch their backs or spot targets in the relative safety of the 3PP in this mode.

Curiously enough, this has been mentioned in several threads today. I have never seen this pyramid. I am beginning to suspect it must be a bug introduced in this latest patch.

Today we met a guy playing for the first time

However then follows the usual debate about pedagogical practice: Is pampering not going to spoil the babies, making them unable to cope in the harsh realites of the world on their own? Do they not need spanking and tough love to learn that nothing is free in this world? Sorry, just kidding. You did a truly good deed there, and hopefully created another addict to this game. -
There is rain? Must be an extremely rare occurence then.
-
Now that you mention it, it would actually be cool if you could store certain items in your boots. Like a knife or some other sharp object.

I just don't see that advantage of carrying one main rifle in your hands and one on your shoulder. I have tried it and it is such a hassle to do just about everything else in the game, so much so that, besides carrying a rifle for your friend, the only case where this is to your advantage if is your sole purpose in this game is to wander from one gunfight to another, with no survival playing inbetween. Personally I prefer carrying only one main weapon, and then adapting my playstyle accordingly. A pistol or revolver is of course a necessity, especially if you choose the mosin. I have written off the sawn off. It is simply not worth it, and I would rather trust my axe than that gun in close encounters. If I ever find the SKS that will probably be my prefered rifle on account of its versatility.
