I have as wel, in fact I have only managed to join servers for a minute before being kicked off from lost sessions. But that is hardly the zombies fault.

Anyway here is a link to a forum post from devtracker by rocket, confirming that they may very well have found the problem and are preparing a hotfix for it. -

You are linking to a profile, not a post. -
Even posted on the devtracker here on the forum. Congrats, you deserve it. It is very nice work indeed. Keep them coming.

Guns are mainly for use against other players.
-
And also completely underestimates the axe as the main zombie slaying weapon. Guns will only attract more zombies.
-
I really don't understand these comments at all. What do you think constitutes fun in a zombie survival game then? And isn't fighting zombies playing the game?
-
I'm guessing they lost their sessions. So for those few lucky ones actually able to play, you should probably take advantage of the nice looting situation while it lasts.

"New players" reaction to this patch is just like..
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
That has nothing to do with being a "new" or "old" player, though. -

I also get the ammo roundbox error message. But that has likely nothing to do with this issue, but is just a wrong path for a file in the code, it has been occurring for various items these last two or three patches. -
What a load of nonsense. And that speaking as one of the ppl who havent been able to try out the new stable yet on account of "session lost" issues. This kinda thing can happen in any game at alpha level, that is why it is in alpha. Because these sort of problems can appear when rolled out on a massive scale and that is exactly what we are here testing it out for.
-
Don't shoot them. You will only attract more and you really don't need anything but an axe to take them out. Don't blame your unthinking playstyle on the game. Zombies should be a problem, especially in cities. But anyway I am pleased to learn that most of the deathmatchers will now spend all their ammo on zombies.

The Session lost issue is effecting a lot of players. Since like the OP I have also tried everything all the way to reinstalling game, it is obviously not a client side issue, but something occurring host side or in the stable after the patch. Dev Hicks is mentioning something about working on a hotfix on twitter, but I can't quite make out if it is a hotfix for this issue. If not it should be, because it is a serious problem that seems to be happening to a large part of the playerbase.
-
I have been following and participating in all of those. Nothing has helped. It is obviously not a client side problem.
-
Most likely it was just frozen on your end (probably "Session lost" bug), and that other guy just took you out.
-
Not being able to interact with objects is one of the symptoms of the "Session lost" issue. There doesn't seem anything to be done about it on our end, but they are apparently working on a hotfix for it, according to people who visit The Official DayZ Forum Reddit.

New Patch - Who's still having fun?
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to makomachine's topic in General Discussion
This. Technically unplayable atm. However I did try out most of the new stuff in experimental, and I liked what I saw. -
I'm in the EU and I can't join any servers either. Seems very selective if it is regional.
-
I tried it briefly on experimental, but I haven't been able to join a server succesfully on stable on account of the "Session lost" thing.
-
I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the game and it seems to have done the trick for me. At least I managed to get into a server and could handle objects and no desyncing or anything. Edit: I guess I posted too soon. I went to the forum to write this message and when I returned to the game it has resumed its faulty behavior. Suddenly no object handling and it ended with a "Session lost".
-
The current "Session lost" issue, which I am also experiencing, seems to be different to that issue. It won't allow you to enter any server at all.

New path , rebirth after session lost
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to ShockoLaTe's topic in Troubleshooting
I'm having the same problem. It loaded fine first time (albeit a bit slow), my character loaded and I could move, but I couldn't use any objects and after a bit it said "Session lost". Then next server it loaded a long time (after log in countdown of course) but never finished loading, since I just got the "Session lost" message and went back to server browser. I tried deleting the files mentioned in the post by DonDude, and loaded up. It loaded for a long time. The green player list appeared to the right, still black screen "Wait for host". A Battleeye message about some player being kicked for losing connection even appeared, and a server message "Remember to favourite this server", but I doesn't get beyond that and ends up with "Session lost" once more. -
Where can you reliably get backpacks now?
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to Maselko's topic in General Discussion
Garages as well. There's these complexes with 3 to 6 garages in a row. I have been finding talon backpacks there on a regular basis. Otherwise there is the homemade backpack, although sticks have become somewhat precious on account of the broken legs and usefulness of splints. -
You may likely have been hit by one of those soundless sniper shots. There is no reason to suspect those "You are getting wet" messages has anything to do with the bleeding.
