Overall opinions on the SA so far?

There are plenty of "awesome looking guns" in the game at the moment. More will be added, so will other stuff. This is not really an issue in any way. You are of course free to make up your own goal for playing this game, but "finding awesome looking guns and stashing them in a tent" being your end game sounds extremely boring and pointless to me. -

There is no indicators on the right side of the screen. That was only in the mod. -
Found the sporter and the amphibia, and theyre fun little pop guns. As I have a mag for the amphibia and ammo for it is plentiful I've kept it for fun, but ditched the sporter as soon as I found a real primary. I also found the CZ pistol, but no mag. I don't like the way it looks, like the FNX with the protruding barrel, I think that is an ugly look for a pistol. Since I have only been able to chamber the CZ, I can't really say how it functions in a real firefight, but it feels the same as the FNX. I would very much like to find the 1911 (and mags), but haven't yet. I have always liked the way it looks, so that would probably be my preferred handgun if I find a set, although I kinda like the .357 revolver as well.

Well done almost killing those 3 bad guys. Too bad that last guy seemed to suffer from massive desync making him virtually invincible, because with all the bleeding he was doing he should definitely have been downed by those axe hits. At least you can enjoy the fact that you destroyed all their mlitary gear. That last guy was walking around in nothing but rags.

There seem to be more than ever of these servers. So obviously the system doesn't work if a lot of people have reported servers. Even worse, many of the "clan" servers keep up the same practice as the "join=kick" servers. Often I have difficulty finding real public servers nowadays.

So due west of Guglovo I found this little community in the making, including a new type of house: Inside the house: I continued further west and ended up in Vybor, where I encountered this sight in the police station. Someone must have found something nice. I thank the unknown stranger for that little package, although I will drop the m4 again when I have spent all the 32 rounds. I am not a fan of carrying 2 primaries, and my B95 has served me nicely so far:

Perhaps, It's currently only the three buildings you see in the first picture. And if the yellow house (it's new to DayZ SA, don't really care whats been in Arma or the mod) gets some loot in it, it is going to be a nice little place with the two story barn and the two story house already being quite decent loot spots.

The second primary isn't kept in the backpack, it is on his back next to it. And m4s have gotten somewhat of a resurgence with this latest patch since they spawn in police stations as well as plenty of mags for them (all I find there is double 30 stanag mags when I really wanted mags for the new pistols). I don't think he was necessarily cheating. -

Axes also frequently spawn at hospitals, piano houses and "industrial barns". Otherwise the new farming melee weapons are apparently also semi-good, so just pick those up, they practically spawn everywhere, until you find a proper axe. -

I'm guessing it is client side lag. I have myself been impressed by the fact that I don't get hit any longer if I hit the zombie during its attack animation. It simply keels over and die before inflicting any damage. -

Never had the issues mentioned in the OP, and yes I am getting full value for my money. And btw when you copy paste posts from reddit make sure you change the colour of your font here on the forum, because your post is almost invisible. I had to quote you to be able to read it. -
I'm more against the repeated tricking other players into surrendering by you claimining you won't shoot them, and when they do surrender you execute them in cold blood. I know they are mostly themselves to blame for believing it, but it is still a dick move on your part no matter what the server circumstances are.

They implemented some new spawnpoints in the previous experimental version (current stable) including spawns near Svetlojarsk.

I have had a few desyncing rubberbanding incidents after latest patch, but nothing so serious as you describe. I would think that the majority of players haven't either, since the complaints about this are mostly low level and nothing compared to for example when we had the "Session lost" problems earlier. So no, it is definitely not unplayable for most players. -
With police stations in every town (not to mention piano houses, houses with the arch, office buildings, hospitals, fire stations, factories), there are plenty of gun spawns outside military areas.

1 headshot is all you need to kill them. But yes, I understand the OPs question. I haven't found mags for the new guns anywhere, except that one amphibia mag I looted off a dead guy (whose death was kinda my fault). -
Also, are you quite sure that they all respawn even after being melee killed? I have come across towns which are completely empty of zombies. It is a bit difficult imagining that they should all have been drawn far away from the town.

I haven't found it difficult to "clear" a town, or parts of it, of zombies, if you only use the axe and try to kill zombies standing still before they aggro, they will respawn somewhere else and not instantaneously aggro. I've even done it in Cherno with great success. You simply need to take them out before they aggro or failing that, before neighbouring zombies aggro on account of that first aggro. That will prevent the loop of doom that causes the train of zombies. That will keep the zombie encounters to 1-2 max, or even completely clear and give you enough time to loot houses without being bothered by zombies at all. Also, the sewing kit has suddenly become a very valuable item indeed (at least if you are wearing an overbody type of clothing than can be fixed by sewing).

But if you eat every can of food you find you won't need those calories, plus it will give you around 12 slots extra in your backpack from not having to haul a minor convenient store around. As it seems you are very fond of filling up your backpack with ammo, it makes no sense that you don't carry all that food much more efficiently in your stomach instead. Also on full health you can take more damage before going unconscious or dying.

I have yet to find a magazine for any of the new guns (except for one amphibia mag I picked up from a guy I shot). I find this a bit strange, since usually ammo and mags for new guns have increased spawning rate for testing purposes. I've found lots of ammo but no mags. All the police stations seems only to spawn m4 mags, and the firestations doesn't contain any either, though there's lots of the new pistols there.
