    Where do I find the AKM?

    The AK will spawn whereever the m4 used to spawn, so it shouldn't be a problem for you to eventually find one. Mags are a bit more difficult though. In exp they only spawned at military loot spawns, airfields, military camps, and never in great quantities. I never succeeded in finding a 75-mag, though I met others who had, and I only ever found 2 30-round mags during my entire time spent in the recent exp build.

    Loot, and especially ammo, is indeed spawning in over abundance, but I am sure it is for testing purposes (gunplay and all that follows from it can't be properly tested without ammo). Loot will be balanced, but only in a much later stage in the game. I do expect them to decrease ammo loot spawning a lot by then (and everything else, including food). And of course with the new incoming stable you won't find 5.56 in large quantities anymore. It still spawns at military loot places, but it was the abundance of m4 mags which was the main problem. Now m4s and mags will only be found at heli crash sites, and instead the akm will be the main military gun. And in my experience they have already drastically lowered the loot spawn of akm mags as compared to the m4 mag spawns. Even with frequent trips to unlooted Balota military camp in exp I only ever found 2 30 round mags during my many lives spent in 0.45.
  3. Yes, but it kicks and bans if you modify crucial pbos. So if he was only kicked then it makes a distinction and thus WAD. Your friend should ofcourse verify integrity of files and/or reinstall to fix the corrupted files, but I see nothing problematic about the kick.

    With the current guns in game there really isn't that much of an advantage for players carrying "military gear". The mosin, blaze and the SKS are all great guns, and if you are just a relatively experienced player, you will not be at any particular disadvantage against m4s or akms (except at very close range). It will be a whole different ball game if/when they add military sniper rifles, lmgs, nv goggles and all that kind of crap, though.

    Then it is because you lose blood in the meantime. As I stated blood and health are two seperate values. When you get green blood value rises, and blood need to be maxed before health starts regenerating.

    If it was experimental it could be the remains of the rubberbanding bug, which means the game sometimes still thinks you are another place than you percieve you are. This means zombies can attack you in that place, and especially if you go prone, onehit kill you.

    I am pretty sure all the features that was in the rubberbanding exp will be implemented in tomorrows stable patch, and that includes heli crashes. Also, the new exp build should be up tomorrow as well, so while we can guess here, it is almost quicker just waiting for tomorrow.

    Having both in green means you start regenerating blood. Once you reach your max blood level you start to heal (and the "Healing" bar will appear), but only after you have full blood. The level of blood can be deducted from the saturation of colours on your screen.

    I noticed it during the beginning of this exp build that if I entered a hangar it looked empty, but if I moved further in the loot at the back would suddenly pop up. That is a bit too short rendering distance for my liking, since you will eventually end up missing out on a lot of loot that was actually just nearby your character. However this is probably the price to pay until 64-bit and general optmisation are done, and thats a fair compromise for the current relative smoothness of the game, I think.

    Yeah, finding sticks will no longer be a problem. And while it isn't necessary to build fires yet (it probably will be when being wet increases the risk of you getting sick and fires can dry clothes), you can hunt and cook meat on them in 0.45.

    Not to mention that axes are really useful for chopping wood, sticks, ashwood sticks, all necessary items for the real survivalist.

    The store page contains the alpha-warning first thing. What exactly was misleading about that? Also what do you mean that you have to "go through all of the internetz(sic)" to get involved in "a tiny little bit" of testing? You just start up the game in Steam, if you find bugs you report them in the bugtracker. You can discuss issues here on the forum and elsewhere, but to be honest it is probably more for our own entertainment than actual use of the devs. Still, I have no clue what you are on about.

    While rice does indeed provide more energy than beans, it does also give you minus in hydration. This is not that big a deal atm when you can just go drink from any pond or puddle of water you stumble upon, but it will eventually be a problem when polluted water is implemented. Beans, spaghetti and especially peaches adds to both energy and hydration and are therefore overall much more efficient foods and will continue to be so. And then of course there is the historical reason for the beans thing as outlined by others above.

    Indeed. And actually fireplaces can be build in the current "rubberbanding fix" experimental (you just have to lucky and find firewood as loot), showing that it is not a rollback.

    Server reset character

    It is not a lie. Deliberate character wipes, which is what the OP asked about, is only currently being done on experimental on a regular basis and cannot be performed by server admins. What you experienced is none of that. I have a sneaky suspicion that most "character wipes" on stable is actually due to unlucky logout situations. Remember no place is 100% safe to logout in. You could have been wasted by another player or a zombie. Secondly, sometimes there are short disconnections to the character database, if so a message will appear on the server when you log in that that is the case and you will indeed be a newspawn. However that message also contains the advice that you should log out and rejoin a server. If the problem persists then you should take a short break and log in at a later time when there is a connection to the database again. If you ignore this advice your new character will eventually be saved over your old character and the fault of the character wipe is entirely your own.

    If you get this agitated over such things you really should consider refraining from playing experimental. Let it go man, play some stable or give DayZ a break entirely and return in a couple of months. Playing experimental, and perhaps alphas in general, requires a more patient mentality as well as some experience about how game development works. Throwing fits like that does no good to anyone.

    I think they did a deliberate character database purge. It happens with all updates on experimental.

    Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but all characters have been reset on experimental. That is also the way of the experimental.

    Can't search for apples, can't dig for worms with hoe and I found a 40/40 m4 mag at construction site. Something definitely is wrong here. The blue hue at some point disappeared, but when I switched melee weapons it returned. Haven't seen any animals, but I have heard the familiar growling of the bunny at some point.
