Please, bring back old Zombie aggro!
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to FrostDMG's topic in General Discussion
Because the current detection system in SA is still a placeholder. None of us knows what they are going to do with it, but I am pretty sure they are going to implement a stealth factor. -
Betsy the cow, Friendlies, Novodmitrovsk and the evil red flare

You should drink all those sodas when you are starving. They actually do provide some energy. -
And who is maintaining the wifi that they run on? I am glad side chat is off. It would be completely against the survivor aspect of the game having everyone hooked up on a functioning global network.
-
As far as I have experienced them they seem to have moved further inland, west of Cherno and Svetlo, and closer to the new city.
-
I finally found one. I was beginning to doubt they had even been added to this patch: Not a particularly good pistol though. Takes 2 shots to down zombies (unless headshot of course), and mags are very difficult to find.
-
Experimental crashes frequently for me as well. It seems to consistently do it when I leave the game, but it also occasionally does it mid-game.

DayZ in 2012 vs Now, and why DayZ was so much more fun for me in 2012. Tl;dr at bottom

That is not a problem with the game, though, that is your own personal problem. For most people playing this game without having played the mod they will indeed feel that sense of mystery and discovery. As for the rest of your post, zombies and survival gear, they are working on it. -
Well now you entered horseshit territory. Modern games does indeed have very long period of being in alpha status. Difference being of course that very few of them have been public while being in that state, but 5 months of alpha is not a long time.
-
You have yet to answer the question: Do you really think 5 months of alpha is the same as the game having been in alpha "for ages"? Do you think it is abnormal for a game to have been in alpha for 5 months?
-
You are not making any sense. You were excited about an alpha being "100% together and bugs squished". Did you even read the warning before purchasing?
-
So you consider it to be "flame posts" that you are called out for claiming 5 months of alpha is the same as "for ages"? Some people can't handle a discussion indeed.
-
You sure it is unfixable? The work done in Arma 3 concerning this seem to be rather effective as far as I understand it.
-
It is even funnier if you read the original version of that sentence. He claimed it had been in alpha "for ages" before editing it. "Sense of entitlement" is entirely justified for that one.
-
Heh, just noticed the change in OP now. And unsurprisingly the OP only replied to a post that partially agreed with him in his pessimistic outlook. Not to the rest that questioned his "alpha for ages" statement.
-
So you still consider 5 months "ages"?
-
The price will go up when the game is released. And yeah, as mentioned, 5 months isn't "for ages".
-
What was happening at that point where you took out the 1911 and then put it back repeatedly?
-
Been there, done that. That and getting stuck in locked room in police station. I am staying away from the ship and construction sites on experimental, because that would just be handing the game a kill.
-
Never had this happen. I think you must have chosen some very unlucky places to log out .
-
I've seen 2 boar and a rabbit (that rabbit really got fast) and that's it. I think they are being killed quite quickly on the experimental servers because everyone wants to try out hunting. Or maybe the zombies ate them.
-
It really gave me a scare once as I was walking the top floor of the hospital and it just came flying through the wall right in front of my face.
-
Stuck in that shop for 2 days with broken legs and nothing but a packet of rice to look at. Poor bastard.
-
That is correct.
-
Saw this floating around. Yes please!

You didn't know your "retarded troll post" would lead to this? I guess retarded trolls wouldn't know about that kind of stuff. I guess they wouldn't know about anything. They're retarded trolls! -
It seems most people who have been playing experimental have tried this. I know I did. I was lucky to find some hero killers willing to waste ammo killing me when I asked them to. The fact that that room is completely finished with textures, and even has a window, just makes it more sad to get stuck in there. It is like a cell all prepared for you. Only cooperation will get you out. Not alive, but faster than starving to death.
