Yes, there is. Thankfully. -

I am curious to learn how you have been able to play SA for over 2 years. -

In the exp (I don't know if this has changed in the current stable) you could still find stacks of 5.56 ammo at military loot spawns, just no mags. -
Have to press space before pressing G.

The valid argument is that hunting is already in the game, so your post was yet again nothing but hot air. You spout ignorant nonsense again and again and never actually reads arguments made against you, so of course everyone has given up providing you with "valid arguments". You are clearly only here to spout your agenda, not to have any kind of serious discussion.

I think the dm is only a problem in certain parts of the map, you have the whole rest of it to test everything out with no worry of ever meeting other players. Some people clearly only play this to dm, that's fine, more exploring for the rest of us.

Again, as far as I am aware DayZ is not set in the US.

I sadly have to agree. It is also kind a like a death trap, long narrow streets with lots of windows everywhere and all of it overlooked by high slopes. All this enhanced by the fact that while the town may be big, it is very elongated and not very wide, like the deadliest part of Berezino, only worse on account of the steep slopes, which makes flanking and evading maneuvers very difficult.

I was all excited about the patch going stable, then...
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to jubeidok's topic in General Discussion
My experience was the opposite, although it kind of provoked the same feelings. I also switched to stable today after weeks of exp and I have already been randomly kicked twice by server admins. None of those servers even had any warning in their name that it was their private loot kingdoms, but both times suddenly the list of names started appearing:"Player x has been kicked by admin" etc and I knew what was about to happen. -
The blue hue was something that was introduced in the exp rubberband fix. Sometimes it disappears, but it always seems to return at some point. A minor, but very weird, issue.
-
Random is just that: random. It doesn't mean evenly distribution of all possible items, Sometimes the dice rolls 6 3 times in a row, sometimes it never rolls 6 at all.
-
Yeah, me too. But I guess a lot of players sucks at melee fighting (and has no general sense of awareness either).
-
Since you have obviously not been following the development of the game, and seem to be completely oblivious to the fact that they are going to introduce navmesh for zombies, then I find the rest of your post impossible to take seriously, as it is likely written on the same mixture of ignorance and prejudice.

The game is still pre-64 bit implementation and more importantly still, the real optimisation phase is not going to occur until beta. So how it will eventually end up is rather difficult to say, but it is definitely going to be better than it currently is regarding fps/desync and those kind of things.

Veteran returning, still no SA, getting back into the mod worth it?
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to cjohnston's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Depends on what kind of mod you liked. If you are into a bare to the bones survival game, then by all means purchase SA, it is rather playable currently from that perspective, with many nice features the mod never had (and of course more and more to come). If you are into the unlimited vehicle/weapons/easymode that is Epoch then you should stay away, possibly forever. -
The AK will spawn whereever the m4 used to spawn, so it shouldn't be a problem for you to eventually find one. Mags are a bit more difficult though. In exp they only spawned at military loot spawns, airfields, military camps, and never in great quantities. I never succeeded in finding a 75-mag, though I met others who had, and I only ever found 2 30-round mags during my entire time spent in the recent exp build.
-
Loot, and especially ammo, is indeed spawning in over abundance, but I am sure it is for testing purposes (gunplay and all that follows from it can't be properly tested without ammo). Loot will be balanced, but only in a much later stage in the game. I do expect them to decrease ammo loot spawning a lot by then (and everything else, including food). And of course with the new incoming stable you won't find 5.56 in large quantities anymore. It still spawns at military loot places, but it was the abundance of m4 mags which was the main problem. Now m4s and mags will only be found at heli crash sites, and instead the akm will be the main military gun. And in my experience they have already drastically lowered the loot spawn of akm mags as compared to the m4 mag spawns. Even with frequent trips to unlooted Balota military camp in exp I only ever found 2 30 round mags during my many lives spent in 0.45.

Per Hicks: BattleEye now issuing bans for those who delete/alter PBO files
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to haknslash's topic in General Discussion
Yes, but it kicks and bans if you modify crucial pbos. So if he was only kicked then it makes a distinction and thus WAD. Your friend should ofcourse verify integrity of files and/or reinstall to fix the corrupted files, but I see nothing problematic about the kick. -

BadAsh (DayZ) replied to haknslash's topic in General Discussion
If he only got kicked then I would say it is WAD. -
With the current guns in game there really isn't that much of an advantage for players carrying "military gear". The mosin, blaze and the SKS are all great guns, and if you are just a relatively experienced player, you will not be at any particular disadvantage against m4s or akms (except at very close range). It will be a whole different ball game if/when they add military sniper rifles, lmgs, nv goggles and all that kind of crap, though.

Bug or am I doing something wrong?

Then it is because you lose blood in the meantime. As I stated blood and health are two seperate values. When you get green blood value rises, and blood need to be maxed before health starts regenerating. -
Player killed or accidental death?
BadAsh (DayZ) replied to cpo1bishop's topic in General Discussion
If it was experimental it could be the remains of the rubberbanding bug, which means the game sometimes still thinks you are another place than you percieve you are. This means zombies can attack you in that place, and especially if you go prone, onehit kill you. -

BadAsh (DayZ) replied to gannon46's topic in General Discussion
Yes it will. -
I am pretty sure all the features that was in the rubberbanding exp will be implemented in tomorrows stable patch, and that includes heli crashes. Also, the new exp build should be up tomorrow as well, so while we can guess here, it is almost quicker just waiting for tomorrow.

Having both in green means you start regenerating blood. Once you reach your max blood level you start to heal (and the "Healing" bar will appear), but only after you have full blood. The level of blood can be deducted from the saturation of colours on your screen.
