I'm not quite sure what would be the point of this. Everybody would just shoot on sight anybody with their hands in their pockets, especially since the gesture serves no other purpose than to hide a pistol.

The pickaxe deals the same damage as the splitting axe (as does the hoe), 2 strikes and the zombie is out. But for overall survival purposes the axes are indeed way better, since this enables you to cut down trees for those precious sticks for your backpacks, fireplace kits and splints and lumber for fireplaces.

Only 2 CTDs today. Yay! Unfortunately one was just as I had dropped my backpack to wring it out. Luckily I managed to find the server again, and has not been plagued by crashes since. I fear, though, that my character is suffering from diabetes. He is constantly getting thirsty, and to such a degree that he has to fill up his belly to the point of vomiting just to get to light green hydrated. Still, he gets thirsty shortly after, and thus has little room in his stomach for food. -

The new one (on 3rd person) reminded me a bit of what makes the H1Z1 animations look silly. There's an apish aura about it, without being able to quite put the finger on what actual makes it appear like that. -

CTD seems to be very frequent in this version. Played an hour and crashed 4 times. Edit: Make that 5. -
Weather effects are currently bugged, except on the almost non-existant Vilayer servers. It will probably be fixed next patch.

Strawman argument. You are the one making the absurd claim that if adding feature A then feature B-Z should also be added. It makes no sense whatsoever.

I haven't found a tent yet in any build, not even when they first introduced them. So to be honest I haven't noticed much of a difference. -

It is most certainly exploiting, but I think the advantage gained from it is neglible. You should be able to carry all the stuff you need for survival and even combat the normal way, if you need more space then it is because you are carrying too much useless junk you are never going to need (8 drum mags and 6 tac vests? who is ever going to need all that?). -
Indeed a non-issue. It is so rare we get these high pop servers (75-100) that everyone just stays near their spawn cities and enjoys the pandemonium of having 50+ newspawns running around doing crazy shit (I do too). It doesn't help either that it is on the exp hive which is bound to wipe as soon as they launch new exp and that weather is currently bugged, so your expectation of survival is close to zero if you don't own an axe and a box of matches. When it becomes a normal thing to have these kind of high pop servers the behaviour will be back to normal and more travelling around the map.

The 75 player servers are on the exp hive, but you can play them from the stable build installation. -

I know. But like the last 64 player servers, they can be played both from the stable and the exp branch (and viewed in the server browser as well). Just played for 1½ hour on one of them and it seemed to run decent. There was some lag when you threw things, a bit of reluctance on the switching weapons in the hot bar, but not anything worse than I have sometimes seen in 40 player servers. It was quite a chaotic experience though. It was raining, so everybody very quickly cooled off. I was lucky enough to find a fireaxe rather quickly, and as I spawned close to Cherno I headed there. I found a rope as well, so soon I had myself a backpack, and I had lit a fire under an archway close to the police station in Cherno. It attracted all sorts, mostly newspawns running for their life in their t-shirts, but a couple of meleegeared players as well. One of them tried to kill me with a stun baton, but while I did get hit by it a couple of times, he seemed only to hit my legs (pants and boots ruined), and I was able to draw my axe and off him in one strike. Another guy had found a sporter and ran around shooting at newspawns with it in the corner pub close to my fire. Couldn't have that so I went and ended his life as well. In the end I left the fireplace and a decent amount of various foodstuffs for passing travellers and took off to the North. -

There is no experimental atm. You should be able to play on the 75 player servers on stable. -

Screwdrivers does open cans (and relatively effectively even). Most likely you had a ruined screwdriver, or didn't use the correct controls. -
I have never not looted a police station when I am near one, but still no luck. For me this is definitely the rarest item in game.

You must be very unlucky. This particular build seems to have an overabundance of at least basic loot, and a fine selection of guns and ammo as well (although military equipment has rightly become much scarcer). I am currently struggling to find space in my mountain backpack for all the ammunition and pistol mags I find (in the hope I will eventually find the matching guns). If you find an out of the way firestation, jail or police station there will literally be piles of valuable loot, since loot keeps spawning there when other loot in the area is being picked up.

I have yet to find an mp5 in the game at all. Found my first Longhorn yesterday.

Is OP seriously dying to zombies? And starvation? In the current build? As a survivor of the hunger games that was exp 0.47 (apples anyone?), the current 0.49 stable is an orgy of foot and all kinds of supplies compared to that. -

I found one as well in a firestation a couple of days ago. And it can be fixed with sewing kit.
