    Moving into 2020

    So the newly introduced inventory bug, new(old) ghost bullets, client crashes, and so on, from a version which should have never made it to stable, will not be fixed anymore this year? you are doing the exact same mistake again every year. Releasing some unfinished, buggy mess before Christmas (“1.0”” anyone?) and then try to minimise damage afterwards. The damage you already did and do with every new buggy patch, to the community and to your fans cannot be fixed anymore. Sorry to ask this so directly, but are you guys krazi? (And here i mean the ppl which force you to release this stuff in this shape). anyway, enjoy your dayz off and merry xmas.

    @Greensek Can you please give some feedback if ANY of this major problems are getting fixed in 1.06? I couldnt find any of it in the changelog. Base Building balancing Bullet Damage tweaking Dead or unconscious players are often not lootable because they fall into textures like walls, ground surface and so on. Even if they are lootable, often the item which is in their hand (mostly gun) is not accessible still. Before 1.05 already but still: When you switch your weapons with hotbar from for one rifle to another one for you all looks normal. For people around you, your weapon will often stick out somewhere of your back and you don't have it properly in the hands. This can be abused and make it look like you actually don't have anything in hands but you still can shoot. Shooting sounds cannot be heard by everyone. (as i am always in a group, often some of us can hear shots, others don’t. Even already pretty close ones.) Weapons and Magazines often get bugged when holding R to switch magazines Car sync fixes Tents are less accessible since 1.05, especially if they are near trees its hard to access them from inside often. The amphibia pistol, even though it sound is suppressed is hearable from very far away like you are standing right next to it.     I was just reading trough the log and was hoping you took some of the real important bugs, tweaks. But i was greatly disapointed.....     Addressing Current Game Issues

    The most pressing issues right now in my opinion, sorted by priorities: Since 1.05 you half of the time the cannot lood dead bodies anymore. Even if you can loot bodies, you often cannot access the main weapon from the hands of the body. Bodies very often glitch into walls, surfaces, trought textures. There is no collisions to the bodies in the moment they fall down. Even if not near any buildings, in open grass it often happens that you cannot access the body. About the bleeding: You are bleeding out wayyy too fast right now. While i think that bleeding should have some effect, its the wrong approach. 0.62 did it right. You could go unconscious way faster but depending on your injuries it could take up to 10 minutes to bleed out. So what i mean: Make bloodloss cause unconsciousness more often, but not instant death. Friends or enemies should have the possibility and choice to bandage you, stabalize, you CPR, give you saline or blood and do some first aid. too less bullet damage or too high protection values on simple clothing and non armored vests, or delay of injury feedback when getting hit anywhere else but in the head. MK22 Ambibia is still with bugged sound. Even its a silenced effect, you can here it kilometers away. A lot of shots are not heared by everyone who should hear them. Some shots 20meters away cannot be heard.     Please, dont scrap advanced and hardcore medical things. It was one pretty important thing of dayz. Your game should not become just another Arcade and easy accesible 1 out of 20 games. Hardcore is what made this game big and stand out of all the other things. Also.. Please bring back the Pen and Paper?... And fishing? use the same animation the barbacueing meat on a stick?

    Yo Raptor. Same as for the PC Dev team: Do NOT announce any dates! no release date, no wishful thinking patch date. Nothing. You guys, fail to hit them anyway at 90% of time, because some "unexpected" problems came in the way. (not meant in a harsh way). So it is much better for PR to not state them until you are 100% sure you are ready with the things. Else you will always disappoint the crowd. The key for PR in software development is to "underpromise and overdeliver". Not the other way around. Just a little hint.
  10. What should bandwith has to do with fps? I rather think its the zombies, or some items / texuture which brings it down to this unplayable levels.
  11. Muuuch Lower FPS since last experimental update? Me and 2 friends noticed a significant drop of FPS in the lastest experimental update. (since 2-3 days). Basicly in towns like electro its nearly unplayable right now. In the experimental version before (the last 2 weeks around), we had way better fps then even in stable. To sum it up: stable: FPS are not perfect but OK experimental before the latest update: FPS were very good - experimantal now (since 2 or 3 days): FPS are very low, partitially nearly unplayable Anyone else noticing the same issue? Is this because of the new zombie spawn?

Bugs: - Shooting from steep surfaces often results in bullet hitting an invisible texture just infront of the gun - Force drinking someone with for example a canteen results in a loss of this canteeen. - unpacking ammo from ammobox in backback results in a 0amount of ammo, if the same type was already in backpack - some sounds like eating, drinking and reloading seem like are global transmitting - zombies + players can glitch trough walls - Items need somtimes a long time to spawn when you drop them (especially ammoboxes, medikits, yellow box) - Somteimes the respawn / death loop still happens ("please wait" message forever, until you join another server) - the new "eat all" feature is actually destroying some part of gameplay. eating should indeed take a bit of time and is essential. - mosin is off target a bit to the left, even when pristine mosin and pristine long range scope and not exhausted - unconsious ppl can "combat log" within only a few seconds and no animation played. the body will just dissapear - Dead bodies will just sink in the ground, maybe delete them completly for better performance - ladder bug, climbing the ladder kills you often **************** Suggestions: - Gear of players in "Hands up" Animation should be accessable as if handcuffed - Players should be able to access gear of others when not moving resulting in the "accessed" guy gets a sidemenu option to allow or disallow the access. (For sharing items with friends) - Combat Logging is still possible with the 30 second timer. Better solutions: + Additional to the timer (which should be set up to 1minute), a local chat message "Player disconnecting (or similar)" or a sound "Yawning", or "zip of a sleeping bag/ tent" should be played. + People who shot or are getting shot at should get an increased logout timer (3 Minutes?), so long range fights or chases are more likely to happen without one attendend disconnecting. - animal life: when you add animals to hunt, also add wild, dangerous animals, like wolfes, bears and boars, which eventually attack you. (but u also can eat them) - add horses, which you can pack with a saddle and ride them. (also need to let them drink and eat) - Suicide with items like knife, axe, guns, rope should be possible - a very little getting older / experience system (not skillpoints actually) but smth to make you value your live more: + the more you run and / or eat healthy, the faster you can run (up to an realistic limit) + the more unhealthy stuff you drink / eat the less stamina you will get + killing and cutting animals for food: the more often you do it, more eatable meat you get out of it (up to an realistic limit) + the longer you are alive, moustache will grow + if you get injured, scars will appear on your character (face / arms / legs..) - lakes / ponds should have a realistic chance of beeing polluted and making you sick if you drink water without cleaning (pourificating or cooking) it before - Increase the possible spawnpoints (maybe somewhere in middle of forrests and ofcourse at least 10minutes away from mil.bases) to spread the population, out a bit on bigger servers, like 80players) - seeds to grow plants for food and harvest them (like in good old Sahrani Life Reloaded) -> settlements - Building system like in sahrani life reloaded, but improved (you can build everything, starting from a little wooden blank to barricade a window, or a hole vault system with walls and stuff.

    I know that there is a seperate part to do this, but i have no time to watch through all existing stuff, nor to post a new ticket for each issue, see it as Nice little summary which, hopefully gives the devs some hint for the right priorities. rgs. From a guy who likes to help, but doesnt have too mich time.

  16. High priority points in the game at this moment are. 1. Combat Logging. Fix: Abortable Logout Timer @1-2minutes, or instant logout (Alt+F4, Gamecrash, Internet shutdown) with a killable AI dummy spawning for 1-2minutes. First, to fast implement this feature, just with a direct chat message: "Player is logging out". For improvements you can add animations like a simply hand wink, or better, something like the player is taking out a sleeping bag and jumping in there until he is gone + some zip-sound or yawning. Also working would be a icon above his head, so everyone around can see he is disconnecting. Why that hight time? Example: It would be annoying, if you for example surround a house and force the insiders to surrender. If you wouldnt hear/see something of them for a few seconds, you would need to rush the house to be sure you get them without logging off. Thats why a timer lower then 60sec is a No-Go. 2. Server Hopping / Ghosting: - Similar to Combat Logging, when a player joins a new game, he shouldnt really be able to move the first 60 seconds. A direct chat message should appear "Player just logging in" (or waking up, or whatever), so players around are warned. This chat message could later be replaced by some "wake up yawning, and a crawling out of sleeping bag" animation. People would think twice before they serverhop in some crowded area for looting or backstabbing. - Players shouldnt be able to rejoin the same server within 5 minutes, so Ghosting (logging off, running to another position, logging in, shooting someone in the back) would be nearly impossible. (if you crash and want to rejoin your friends, 5min is an acceptable time to wait also, i guess) - Players who die should be auto-respawned within 15sec, so they cannot tell theyr friends what is goin on around. - If players are joining more then 3 Servers within 30min, theyr time to be able to join the next server should be increased (and so on) (only implement this or similar solution, when loot-respawn actually works) 3. Dead body despawn time should be increased to like 45min, 1 hour or more. - immersion - if you shoot someone and want to loot him, you cant always do it within 15min (or whatever it is at this moment) because other ppl might camp it, its too dangerous, or whatever reason. for now its just way too less. 4. Players in handsup/ surrender Animation should be able to search and take equipment from, just the same as ppl beeing handcuffed. For now, if you want to non-violently rob someone, you must tell them to drop allt theyr clothes + backback, just to search it. Pretty annoying. 5.6, 7..... more zombies and building and so on, is anyway on the list, so no need to mention it here. Sorry for new topic, but all this useless discussion about some important, pretty easy to fix thingies are just not necassary.

    Any other ideas? I mean if they wont do something like this, a "professional" combat logger, can always just shut down his dayZ, or plug off the internet cable. So if you want to get rid of combat logging, in my opinion, you are forced to do something like that. Internet and game/pc crashes will always happen, not just CURRENTLY :)

    Robbing is already now possible, everyone one got his own style of game, this is dayZ. if you think "robbing is not a solution" its your choice, but dont forbid a quite realistic option for others. As it is now, you can rob someones gear either by handcuffing him, or KILLING him. My suggestion will add another "non deadly", pretty realistic, alternative to interact with people. If someone has his hands up, he kind of agrees, that you are at this very moment, superior to him and you can do basicly whatever you want with him. For now you have to tell him to drop his backback and trousers and so on, to search him, OR what most people prefere to not waste time, just execute him, so they dont have to tell him to drop his stuff.. Not that useful/realistic/immersive, OR? Actually they are quite good summed up, reasonable, not that hard to implement and a pretty well accepted (by most), not too hard to implement, solution to the most annoying points in the alpha right now.
