Anyways,congratulations and may Boneboys give you strenght in the battle against the forum-trolls. :P ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back on topic now,it would sound like a very good idea to have a book realated to DayZ giving us small insight about hunting,cooking and crafting functions that are supported ingame.

The Z in the title,means Day Zero, Rocket,the team and the community always know for a fact that the no:1 adversary in the game would be other people.This is one of the most controversial topics in zombie movies and novels as well.The fact that there has been excessive improvements on the zombies lately,should make you happy,when the zombie pathfinding,numbers and damage are configured,people are gonna count to one another a lot more,than now.The only reason we have excessive Kos (not banditry/steal for gear) is because the lack of content and the lack of danger as you correctly stated.By the time basebuilding is in all will change ;) -

Nah dude,it is not going to be like that when the game releases. Well,at least i don't think so,i hope that the team makes lone wolf survival so tough,that the game forces cooperation between other players in order to survive. Also on a side note,basebuilding alone should not be possible on Dayz in my opininon. -

Seriously,am i missing something? Because i really don't get the mentality behind theese people. I am bored of the lack of content,thus i don't play for the moment. That dosen't mean i should bitch about it and propose to add broken things. When you clicked on the "i understand" button of the alpha disclaimer you should have seen this coming.Be patient in order to have good solid content without an ocean of bugs. -

Yeah,right....placeholders,look dude they will be ingame when they are ready. We will not have them premature just because you are bored, that makes no sense.For now,the KOS mentality is here to stay because the game still dosen't offer alot of variety.But on a diferent note adding vechicles,wouldn't help deal with the KOS problem. -
They really need to be removed IMO. There are 10 juicy pumpkings in the garden,and a survivor corpse that died of hunger next to them.... It dosen't add to the overall feel of scarce food,in the Apocalypse.My point is If you could eat them,their numbers are so great that no survivor would ever go hungry.

I think he talked about it in a stream or something so i can't be positive sure. Yet this rumor about advanced cooking and food preservations has been going on for a while now. Mgc i can't answer to what point the cooking system is good enough,when cooking is not yet implemetned....

I really don't mind,even though i'm still a noob at 1pp despit the fact i lag, bump into walls,and feel restrained control-wise,i can learn to relate with it. (but you have to admit,controls are preety crap i would be falling out of windows 24/7)

Game's all about survival,so a good cooking system is of high importance IMO.

I think i heard rumors that beign able to make marmelade out of fruit, preserve them as dry food and have your pickles in vinegar is going to be implemented in the future,i don't have any sources to support my claim though.

This was very usefull when i was playing State of Decay. With the current DayZ physics though,you would see your charachter drop like a log (vertical position) and die from the 1 meter drop :P If pshysics and the falling damage allows it,only thing left is the animation,to give off the desired effect.... -
Here's what i think. We should have limited matches,but insta-fire (with a chance of premature extiguishment) and the steel and flint unlimited spark, but takes alot of time. If Rocket skill proposition about doing something alot and you get better at it is valid,this would be a nice example.
