Standalone is based on soley player interaction, beside zombies and animals there should never be any other npcs. Maybe in a modded version of the SA someone would mod them in,but concerning the main game,never.

Lighters have been discussed multiple times,a disposable lighter is enough we don't need the long necked ones. :) Car lighter would be an awesome item to have ingame though.They should be introduced along with vechicles. Flint Striker should be a lot less effective than other conventional fire starting equipment (high chance of failiour-should require multiple tries to start fire). -

I didn't pay any attention at first. But i saw multiple posts about the subject getting deleted. I'm not fully aware of the severity of the situation,but what's the worst thing that could happen if hackers indeed got their hands on the game's source code?

The zombie pathfinding is beign worked on. The team is working on a navemesh that could configure the NPC AI effectively. Also hordes are on the teams agenta.You should use the search function on your top right to search for more content about your concerns rather than making double posts.

Cages to transport the chickens and rabbits and Urals for the goats,cows,pigs and horses. Build a fence and drop the bigger livestock in,build a rabbit hutch for the rabbits and a chicken coop surounded with a wire mesh to keep the chicken inside. (Temperature should take a toll+predator animals)

Sanity/rationale/crazy meter to encourage player interaction?

While in the 2017 mod the addition of a sanity meter feels intreasting,i don't think it should be implemented in DayZ.We need something to drive people to interact with one another in order to cover their nessecairy survival needs(building shelter,player proffesions-skills,security,etc),and not because the fear of losing your sanity.I still argue,that the answer to player interaction would be that players should be better in a trade of their choice than others. I'm not talking of a menu to choose skills and caps and blah blah generic rpg bs.Having the choice of training your survivor,on all fields without restrictions but very time consuming so force the players to master a specific trade of their own preferance more than the others. (Eg:I'm a skilled fisherman with basic knowledge of carpentry) -
In that logic,let's not add anything,in fear of more bugs poping up. I would actually love to see this implemented,it was suported in A3. Maybe have a chance of some canned goods,rope,sprap metal,spawning in shipwrecks. Although to be able to go harpoon-fishing,is what makes this suggestion intreasting.

To get a helicopter up and running would suggest that the pilot,has spent a significant ammount of time working as a team with others maintining it and scavaging the required parts for it. Also,from what i can gather from the mod,they are very vulnerable to small arms. Having privilages for something as time consuming as running a heli should be granted imo.

Pff,if we had a real apocalypse and you are starving,suddenly a fat juicy cow walking in front of you,would you vegies rather die than eat all that delicious steak? Your beliefes aside we humans consumed meat from the paleolithic era,like it or not,it's part of our diet. But humans as omivorous also have the privelage of choice so i'm not the one to judge.

When i log in i play with the hero,that means i grab on 2 cans of beans and 1 waterbottle a bible and some rags while everything else i happen to loot,i just give it away to random people.But once when i started playing i was starving to death,so i saw this guy looting a shed wearing an orange coat,here i was behind his back i equipped my axe and went for his head,killed him in cold blood and felt kinda bad.So from that day,i tried my best to help people(that means getting shot in the face is a daily sport) :D .

All you suggestions have been throughfully covered in past threads, and some of them like the backpack are preety popular. The meat nutrition value should obviously increase if eaten cooked,while giving a propability of sickness (salmonella infection) if consumed raw.The third suggestion is about an RV trailer if i'm no mistaken. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/172365-rv-trailer/ I too want to see this,so i suggested it as well :D Welcome to the forums,use the search function on your top right to find more content concerning your suggestions.

Yep,imo that's the ideal aproach.Also shape and size should determine which items can be stored in the different containers (eg:there is no way you can fit a defibrillator in the pants slot).

From what i heard the mod is plagued by hackers,at this stage the Standalone may be playable but lacks a lot of content and is full of bugs But if you have to choose one of 2 i would suggest that the mod is totally more fun. Global chat is not avaliable in SA version,we use radios instead (they suck). The levels of hunger and blood in SA are shown in the equipment tab,because people apparently found the UI to be "immersion breaking".The charachter has "text-thoughts" messages like "i'm hungry"-"i'm very hungry"-"i'm starving" which is something that needs to go (Rocket himself expressed his intention to remove it).

Wow,that preety much confirms we have time paradox in DayZ. Glorious DayZ,everyday i'm preplexed and learn something new. Even the bugs are sophisticated. :P

Rocks....the second most dangerous predator ingame than ladders. For the meantime(1.5 years aprox. till they fix that bug),enjoy your flight. :P
