    Keep in mind,you may have limitations of how much stuff you carry on you. But...patience is a virtue,because when vechicles make it in the game,you could easily take a truck,park it in the military base load it up with 50 machineguns and start WW3. So in conclusion when persistant storage comes into the picture,problem's solved.

    Aren't we taking realism a little too far? Why would cigaretes in apocalypse worth anything to trade for,if the only thing they are effective at is giving you addiction and cancer? If a morale system was to be implemented i could see this working.Don't get me wrong,if tommorow an apocalypse starts,and i have a fortified location growing tobacco i could trade it for all kinds of stuff,beign a luxury item and rare.

    Dude the SA is not Epoch,forget about vendors trading safe zones and NPCs in general,because they will never make an apperance. Smoking has 0 benefits in real life,why should it have in game? I can only see them make it ingame as part of aesthetics,nothing more.

    Instead of beign a d*ck why not trying to be nice for a change,eh? Now,concerning your post i find it a very good idea,and i would prefer if every backpack in the game was paintable in every colour.However,this is something that shouldn't be on the dev's short term to-do list and can wait.

    Here's some food for thought,i didn't tweak any settings. The night was pitch black,and couldn't see my nose without a flashlight. I got into a fight with a zombie.I had to turn off my flashlight (imo one handed weapon+flashlight should be allowed) equip my fireaxe and swing towards complete darkness in hopes i get a hit register at him. Needless to say that i almost bled to death,what i'm getting at,is that i play nighttime as inteded without "training wheels" and paid the price.When some other guy plays night like it's daytime,it's unfair for me. I enjoy playing at night as well and none is forcing me,but if the game's strive for realism so, some things have to be tweaked for the sake of balance.

    DayZ is not only PVP. It's a survival post apocalypse game. The only reason to blame that pvp is the main atraction,is the lack of content. They should focus on more features about survival rather than the gunplay. It's a must for the loot tables,to be properly configured.

    Maybe it could feature as an "admin" option for the individual server. Such as: Loot ammount -Low -Medium -High Loot spawns -Default -Random -Custom I'm thinking Custom is something that gives complete freedom over loot spawns and the loot thet spawn. It could feature as a menu to show the loot table as an example: Military base -M4 -SKS -Axe -Pipsi -etc,etc From that menu i can configure what spawns and where effectively (add or more or less loot in the table if i desire). Although this is something to be considered further ahead in the future.

    You are always going to bump into hackers too,so what is your point? Stop defending night time for the sake of the argument,when you know that there are some serious issues with it. Gamma explotation and flashlight "beacons" that illuminate the whole city are 2 bugs that are almost gamebreaking. They need to be fixed and imo,should be a high priority.

    How it played inside my head... Meanwhile in the DayZ Nuclear Facilities -Regular day,worker on the Reactor command PC,doing his usuall work. Suddenly....."Reactor level:Critical" -What the hell? Oh God,what did i do? Please somebody save us!!!! *Rocket steps in* -I'll save you,give me a keyboard! Quickly! *types* Moments later... "Reactor Stabilized" Then everyone cheering and women screaming "HAVE MY CHILDREN" But really now,the representative that poor guy at the feedback tracker must have gotten some serious hate. It's good that it was all a big misunderstanding.

    Maybe the engine is indeed bad guys. I don't know...i have been defending it but as the top comment on reddit reads... What a complete and utter disappointment. I'm afraid the first of many. The entire point of the standalone project was supposed to be creating a new engine for DayZ that could break the limitations of the ARMA engine which made it so difficult to do things in the mod. And after the monumental effort of the team - after nearly 2 years of work - we've got an engine that can't even reflect lights off of surfaces? A problem that was solved in like 1999? I'm trying to be somewhat diplomatic, but the only word that I can think of right now is "clusterfuck." If the engines "stumbles" when facing problems with lighting,then what would happen when more advanced features come in the picture?

    I'll be completely honest. Theese are very dissapointing news. The light going through walls is a gamebreaking bug and needs to be fixed If it is never fixed then none will bother playing at night time. That dosen't sound very reasurring tbh. This is a very serious bug,it should be on the priority list rather than leaving it for the future.

    Rolling your sleeves (and why I think it can be done easily)

    I like it,but should be implementedon the long-run. The team still needs to add the basic clothing befor everything. :) I know for a fact that cold temparature will be a vicious oppoment, but i'm not sure about heat,maybe along with the stamina and weight you carry it can take a toll on your charachter so rolling up your sleeves may help.

    Are zombies really the hardest part of the game?

    The zombies are currently a work in progress. Other players are the most trouble,to be honest the zombies suck(beign placeholders). You can easily wait for them to get close and axe them to the head 1 or 2 times. You can take out whole hordes that way. (Also if you are not aware,right click on a T-shirt and hit the command "turn into rags" when bleeding status is indicated right click the rags and tick "bandage myself")

    Realism is good,but let's not overdo it. We litterally have to take precaution against 1 million things,i'm sure sugar would be the last of our concerns. "You are dead-because sugar" See what i did there? :P

    When going to the restaurant for dinner always remember... "If you stuff yourself with appetisers,you will be too full to enjoy the main dish" It seems that you are starting to get worried so my advice would be to ake a break. :)

    Suggestion: Introduce yourself

    I was playing PS2 a moment ago. In that game,when you see a unit you move the cursor on them and press "Q" to spot them. Well,in the same principle you can tell "Friend" from "Unknown". It would be cool if you had a "friend list" linked with the "steam profiles". So you can see the people on your friend list and also your friends on Steam.

  21. I have purcahsed the game as well,but i don't play. I supported the development and understand that it still is in alpha stages. People that complain divide in 2 subcategories. The first one is: "I know it's alpha but..." Spenting 500 hours doing circles around Cherno pvping fresh spawns will eventually get you bored,they are aware by the lack of content but still wanna keep playing. Best tactic for them is,take a break and return when the game is on a more finished state. The second one is: "I bought a broken game" Now theese dudes are beyond salvation.They completely missed all the alpha warnings and expected the game to be finished.They didn't even think twice befopre buying,because DayZ has gone mainsteam. It's like a friend of mine tells me "look at that woman,i really want her" and i'm like "yeah dude,but she has some serious STDs" but my friend is so stupid that completly ignores me and sleeps with her,and the next day,he comes to me with a swollen penis and is like "you didn't warn me,you are not a good friend".What i am getting at is that "my firend" and the "DayZ whinners" have one thing in common."They thought with their di*k and not with their brain". Don't expect me to feel any sympathy for them.

    Suggest-ception? Edit:Sorry for the non constructive feedback. While we are at it,i don't mind presenting some ideas that could mean a major gameplay changer concerning player to player interaction. I propose some actions to be part of a "passive" skill tree. In the principle of: (Fishing) -I find a fishing rod -I train at fishing,small to basic fish,rarely bite -I am more effective at fishing,and have a higher chance at better quality fish and the "bite" percentage increases. -I am now have alot fishing experience,i can use the fishing boat and nets for more fish. -I am now an expert,i go to catch sharks and whales (Carpentry) -I find a hammer,nails and wood-sticks -I try to make a basket -Skill raises,i now can make a wooden crate -I train a lot more,i'm on an adequate level to craft my first chair -I'm an expert i can now make a small fishing boat No restriction in what you do whatsoever should be in order,if you wish you can be an expert at everything. (granted you have spented a looooot of time training and are still alive,which would be an epic achievement) This will redifine the DayZ trading system and give a meaning of "worth" to the individual survivor.

    "Street Fighter Ultimate-DayZ edition" Imo,it would be nice,to have a passive system where the more "meele" fighting you do,your charachter performs extra combos+damage.(Dean's system of getting better at something)

    Zombies are the make or break. Zombies need: -Advanced pathfinding+speed (faster than player+pursuit for long distances) -Tons of them (They are everywhere+Hordes) -Inflicting massive damgage+possible disease when close (force players to waste bullets on them before getting close) -Great AI (to encourage Player Stealth) After that it all comes to temperature and stamina. In order to force players to find shelter,chop wood and start a fire. Great decrease in player mobility,as inteded in a real survival game(no more running for miles).

    NPC's

    Players would pillage and harass them in every possible way. DayZ's nature can't allow god-mode on anyone or anything.Everything is a target ingame. So if something like that was to be implemented you would propably be seeing npc piles of corpses infected and healthy alike.Regardless,final verdict is that they would take a very large toll on player immersion and game authenticy which is something that DayZ strives for. The majority of the DayZ community shares the same mindset and is very negative against the implementation of NPCs. It has been discussed a thousand times,and members tend to start a forum massacre against the OP.But you are new,so i suggest you use the search function on the top right to find more content about your ideas before you post.
