    Interacting with and moving Objects

So basicly, dragable and interactable items and objects. I love the idea, concerning mysel i hate the fact that the sofas, beds, chairs and tables are not interactable and moveable. Maybe for larger items (such as beds, fridges, kitchen stoves etc) more than 2 people are required in order to drag and place them in the world. Also theese larger items deplete your stamina when moved/draged around,if stamina deplets, player is forced to drop the item to the ground.

    DayZ WWII mod ?

    This needs to happen.

Free-to-use DayZ Cinematics for Content Creators

Theese are very well made. They have a nostalgic feel to them, which fits the game's atmosphere perfectly. :)
  4. Out of everything mentioned in the article, the thing that caught my attantion the most was the "Clunky Controls Must Die" part. It seems Dean has assigned a group of developers to think outside the box and research new action menu ideas. I wouldn't mind the minecraft's or frostbite's mod interaction system in DayZ.You take a torch in hand, bash the fireplace timber and ta-da you have a fire, easy and simple concept.

    NPC Helicopter Death Squads

How about having theese helicopters, drop some kind of biological weapon bombs? Something that will drive the survivors look for shelter. The radio can provide broadcast information, such as the drop coordinates and the time left before impact.
  6. What i suggest,is when the survivor is stationary and not moving, he can be allowed to take an item to his offhand hand and perform the desired action rather than dropping the last equipped item back on the ground/inventory. A few examples to see what i mean: SKS in hands, fireplace kit in offhand-deploy fireplace kit without removing SKS from primary hand slot. SKS in hands, matches in offhand-light fireplace kit without removing SKS from primary hand slot. SKS in hands, cooking pot with meat on offhand-place it on the fireplace without removing SKS from primary slot. All theese actions, were made without having to drop an item in order to equip another, thus the system is alot more practical. The same principle can be implemented on actions such as:oppening cans, bandaging, drinking eating etc.

learning by reading books and blue prints

Yes it does confine the game from the lone wolf gameplay aspect. You would have to depend on other people for a change because you wouldn't be the all-knowing Macgayver. I don't see this as a bad thing.Everyone in the mod magically had the knowledge to assemble and dismantle whole helicopters. I don't aim to make the player choose a set number of skills like conventional MMOs,but having to train by means of gaining knowledge, would certainly spice things up and make survivors more the gun-fight buddies.

learning by reading books and blue prints

Nobody was born Bear Grylls, they all had to start from somewhere, regardles of their trade. Skills are realisticly supported which is what the game strives for,and a means to give value to the individual survivor.

learning by reading books and blue prints

How about having different level books dependinding on player skill. For example: Basic level carpentry:Enables you to learn basic carpenting recipes Advanced level carpentry:Enables advanced carpenting recipes (requirements:level 50 basic carpentry skill) Expert level carpentry:Enables expert carpenting recipes (requirements:level 50 advanced carpentic skill) Then survivors will have to find the different level books and train their skill to adequate level in order to upgrade their craft. Because realisticly speaking, reading books alone without practice never made anyone an expert at anything.

    Gender Discrimination and Prejudice

Well, let's be honest with ourselves here. It's a fact that most people of the DayZ community are shit. None can deny that. A very small and quite insignificant portion is in fact, logical humans beigns. Complete anonimity only strengthens that fact. Either you are a girl,or a black person or whatever, you still get the same treatment. Retards don't discriminate.

Differentiate clean papers and those with writings.

This should definetly be implemented. Enough said.
  13. Damnyourdeadman

    Diary

I made a relevant suggestion like yours in the past. If we had notebooks, then you can have your diary, but imo, rather than beign an automated proccess, players should take their time writting down whatever they please.
  14. Damnyourdeadman

    Sun poisoning

No,the only thing high temperatures should take a toll on is your fatigue (stamina) energy and hydration depletion rate. We can simulate, the disadvantages of running a marathon in the blazing heat, but having sun strokes is kind of an unnecassary evil.
  15. Damnyourdeadman

    Stomping

Generally speaking,i think the melee system should be redefiened as a whole first. Along with stomping, things like dodge/fall animation/defence stance/kicking/grabbing and etc should be added as well. Because imho,i find it rather pointless, only having a stomping animation with the bad current fighting system.

    Craftable Tents

I was right,it seems we are coming very close in terms of tents implementation. Theese are models leaked from the data files. With the implementetion of industrial ones,i really hope the devs support craftable ones as well.

    DLC/Addons distribution solution.

Do you mean like donations? Because i really fail to see your point. I pay for new content that all will enjoy,i give the money voluntairly,or do i have some privilages? Because for example if tommorow a mod of the SA version were to come out,and the people organised it said: "Donate and help our cause",it's not something to be considered DLC.It's more like donating.

    DLC/Addons distribution solution.

How dare you bring up one of the most taboo topics in our holy forums? You should understand that DayZ is not your average typical game. It was made for the community,by the community. That is the whole community. Terms like item shop and exclusive content are banned and should stay banned for eternity. No special privelages ever.
  19. Damnyourdeadman

    BOOM!

But seriously, imo first we will see molotovs, grenades and crafted explosives. I highly doubt we will have RPGs,mortars, mines and advanced explosives anytime soon. What i want to see though,is to booby trap a container. That should take care of the bandits looting ma frigde. :P

No force feeding unless victims are bound first

While restrained/unconcious or surrundered, players should be able to be force fed anything without restrictions. But,when the player does not have theese status effects,he should give his permission first.A text should appear saying: "Accept force feeding?" Yes No Because, let's face it,the current system is far from realistic. That is,having the fear of someone shoving bleach or rottnen kiwis down your throat when you are not looking. Edit:Grammar
  21. The mod recently added "blood trails" on the patch. If this is implemented on the SA version, maybe the zombies can pick up the scent of the trail of your blood and track you down. Generally speaking,we can make it so that bleeding may arouse zombie's attention and start searching for you around the area(sniffing around and growling for that horror effect).
  22. Damnyourdeadman

    Panic

The game aims to make you behind the screen panic. That's the reason why the game became so popular, you are immersed. Giving the avatar "panic mode" removes your control and subsequently kills immersion.
  23. Damnyourdeadman

Why must we have some kind of tool to open cans?

I think you got something here! What if we get this squashing animation and have a 40%-75% food drop percentage?
  24. Damnyourdeadman

    Let fire hit players.

Well, they ignite, making a nice fireball. But as you can see there is a chance of a fail ignition. :) Edit:There needs to be an ignition source nearby.Like let's say you place the gas canister next to a candle and shoot. Only then there is a high chance of igniting. If the bullet's friction contact generates a spark that would also work but imo less effectively.

    Worth coming back

Why did you uninstall? The updates will come in time. Do you want to be reinstalling the whole thing from scratch when that time comes? For the moment beign there is just, not enough content. Zombies are still, teleporting through walls and lag+desync makes you feel like your playing the game on a potato. If you have nerves of steel and are not easily frustrated, then i suggest by all means. Regarding myself,i'd rather wait though.
