  1. We totally need Knight's Armor and King's and Queen's Crown and royal robes. In case someone wants to start his dynasty from Zub or Devil's castle. :) On a more personal note though....i really,really want....a postman's uniform. My dream is to revive the idea of Kevin's Costner's post apocalyptic postal service from the movie The Postman.
  2. Considering ammo,the current ingame quantity is good. However the majority of people prefer to use their melee rather than wasting bullets on the infected. Thus we are left with a survivor,that carries even more bullets than Rambo ever did on his movies-combined. The solution is simple...give an incentive to make survivors waste bullets on the zombies. This can be achieved by implementing overwhelming numbers and are made extremely lethal in close range melee combat, forcing the player to take them out from a safe distance.

    There is a fine line though. Sleep is bodily function too...but this is taking things to a whole new level.

    What are you talking about? Non lethal shotgun ammo is common among many county folks for self defense purposes. In my country,the most common use of them is rock salt. The pellets of salt disperse from the shell blasting their way out of the barrel and penetrate the victim's skin layer. As the salt dissolves making contact with the victim's soft tissue,it causes excruciating pain,capable of immobilizing them instantly. I also made a topic about it in the past as i found it a very good addition to DayZ's non lethal weapon arsenal and adds to the shotgun's preference value.
  5. None enjoys the zombies. Trust me,i have yet to find a person claiming otherwise. Eugen in a recent tweet said that 2015 is all about putting the Z back to DayZ. So i'm hoping the new year will enhance the game's survival aspect greatly. Game's direction was always leaning to PVP though and i doubt that will ever change. As for the PVE types of players like myself though,i can only hope for radical gameplay improvements.

    Corpse wound identification.

    This is awesome and well thought out. While wound identification has been discussed multiple times,the part talking about using the knife as a means of finding out the bullet type is what makes this suggestion special.

    Actually,it kinda makes sense to have an auto run key,you know... I mean game's got like a 225km map size..many people think it's cool,granted it's one of the most popular suggestions here on the forums. (source)

    So,SA forced you to go prone inside a house,from fear the roaming zombies don't spot you,without having no way to defend yourself. Last time i checked,Cherno in SA was like a wasteland.People are literally running through cities. Do you know what happened if you tried to run(or stand straight) in the Vanilla mod? You had at least 10 of them running after you,forming a single line trying to munch your face.

    The people that only got into the SA version,can't possibly understand the thrill of the mod gameplay. If you are one of those who experienced the early days of the Vanilla mod,there is no way,you would place SA higher than the mod. Proning my way around roaming zombies in Kamyshovo,at pitch black night as i was literally holding my breath not to get spoted (if one spoted you,the whole village was on you)was one of the most authentic gaming experiences i had the privilege to ever encounter in a game. This was true hardcore survival horror in it's purest form.

    Allow me to shed some light on the whole zombie business. Long ago,i started a topic,discussing whether the infected were indeed infected or undead. (link) I stumbled across this piece of information... This is taken from the stringtable.xml file found in the the dayz_code folder of older versions of the mod.(got it from version 1.7.2.3) its basically just an unused intro, DEAN HALL PRESENTS A USECFORCE PRODUCTION On 12 March 2013, a prion disease and spreads among the worlds population triggering a global pandemic The disease causes proteins in the brain to be replaced with prions ceasing regular function Most people progress to dementia and then death as the brain is replaced with ineffective sludge 86% of the worlds population die Some survive with the disease in a chronic state. Lacking regular brain function, they are scarely human. They are unable to communicate, driven by insatiable desire for violence, and attracted to the scent of those uninfected Society crumbles as the pandemic spreads rapidly You are one of the 2% who are not infected yet THIS IS YOUR STORY So there you have it.Rocket's vision on the infected. Also here's a video from the mod,demonstrating the zombie's eating animation. (starts at 4:00) So,the final verdict is,that the infected have a disease resembling rabies. Information from Dean reveal,that they are extremely violent and use their sense of scent to tell friendly from foe. However,it must be noted that zombies in the mod,didn't consume the survivor for more than 5 secs after death. So one can assume that such behavior is caused of their violent frenzy rather than hunger.

That doesn't mean he doesn't love the game as much(or even more) as the rest of us.

    At this stage it's incorrect to imply that you are buying a game. Instead,we are buying hope........hope that the SA will turn to a ((superior)) game. From a consumer perspective game is looking exactly the same from 6 months ago when OP made the topic. A large scaled (Team) Deathmatch with a sprinkle of cosmetic items and "eye candy" mechanics. Judging the fact that this topic was made 6 months ago and the responses made in the months between, i personally find it quite disheartening of how much the game's update progress is excruciating slow.

    This is something that should be implemented aaaaaages ago. Even in the mod,you could access the backpack of another player without a problem. Imo it's a very stupid restriction for SA to allow access on another's player inventory only when handcuffed.

    Well,that's a matter of opinion and opinions tend to differ. Having spent 650 hours in the game,i assume you find SA a rewarding experience. But a large portion of the community would rather wait on more survival oriented gameplay rather than engaging on the game's PVP's aspect. And in all honesty,i can relate to them,because there's not much really else to do,other than Death matching. Edit:Bad Grammar bothers me.... :P

    Well,the majority of people complaining are either angry about the development speed or the game's overall gameplay value. Also a certain inclining percentage of players,that is frustrated about the uprising hacking threat is adding to this list. Let's face it DayZ at this stage is far from a perfect experience. But on the other hand the heaps of barren uncostructive criticism is not helping the community in any way.

    They are only placeholder models that are currently on standby for programmers to code them functionality. Like you mentioned,they will be deployed over campfires (and possibly fireplaces) to allow the survivor use for their cooking utensils (frying pans,cooking pots etc).

Looking good,but the basic difference is that the photo was taken on Arma3 that runs on DX11 while DayZ SA runs on DX9. While it's certainly an improvement to run Sweet Fx on the SA version,the results are greatly multiplied from a renderer platform like the one running Arma 3. This is right on the money.

    You are not alone,first time i saw it i too thought it was an actual real garden,in all honesty,i had to look twice to spot the difference. Regardless,i don't think it would be that bad frame wise. Imo after the optimization happens,an i5 system could run it averagely.

    As of yet,it's a mystery how much improvement it will provide on the game's overall graphical area.But if it looks like this...i can die a happy man :) (Arma3+SweetFx) One thing we know for sure,is that it will fix dynamic lighting,so no more flashlights going through walls. Also,after the new renderer is implemented,the team can finally begin work on the game's optimization,so better performance is almost granted.
