I'm pretty sure it is valid for all of this mod. Alpha is the time the developer can experiment with different features, to see what works and what does not work. You should also read and listen to what Rocket is planning for this game. Rocket really likes to experiment with the mod, he is even thinking of making it a stand alone game, which would give him more freedom to do what he wants to do with the game, but until then, he is stuck with the ArmA 2 game itself. And as for your leg problem, you can't brake your legs unless you're bellow 8k health(blood) when being hit by a zombie. (I've been hit by three zombies at once, without braking my legs, unless I got bellow 8k health(blood)). Falling/jumping 3m down, can in fact brake your legs, since there is no feature for rolling as you land on the ground to divert the force put on your legs, your legs will most likely brake. (Would be a nice to see such a feature put in if possible.) I've walked off a deer stand before, but I have not broken my legs, but I did loose about 2k health(blood) as I landed. If you have been running inside buildings to avoid zombies, but failed at that. Then you're doing it wrong, it is quite simple really, find a building with two exists, run in, crouch out. keep an aye on the two icons that represents your noise level and visibility level, if you're very visible then don't crouch run close to zombies. although some zombies are bugged and will react either way don't wait until they are close to you before running. use ALT to look around double tap ALT to toggle free look, or hold it down to look around. Weapons are rather easy to find, you can find weapons in less then five minutes, depending on where you spawn. Better try again and learn from your mistakes. PS. I do not have high hopes for The War Z... seems fishy. I know my English is not very good, so no point mocking me^^

Same happened to me and my friends last night. I think it said script restriction #53 Was tinkinking on trying again now Just tried it now, works fine. just let steam update ArmA 2 and it will work fine.

Tell me, what you do when you have gotten all the loot you wanted? It takes me less then 1 hour before i've managed to get everything i need. That would leave me with waiting for me to starve to death. I will applaud if you're having hard enough time with the zombies. Without pvp you would be done with the game in less then an hour. What i enjoy is the chance of getting killed or win the fight, the bigger the fight the more fun. without the pvp there would be no challange in survival and it would be boring.

I don't see the point in shooting newly spawned either. i don't like wasting bullets on newly spawned but it happens i shoot one or two in a week. But if you have no clue to hide from snipers, then you better start learning. start with do not run along the coast or the road. as any other bandit, try to look around before moving around. Use third person to look around corners before moving on. Avoid roofs and open fields, if you have to go those places then start running and do not run in straight lines. Only makes you look like a juicy target practice, as for target practice, it is damn fun shooting chickens at distance of 1000m. when it comes to mindless killing, that is due to lack of trust in people. only way to turn that is to start trusting. and if you get killed, then try again. you will find someone that will not shoot you.

i would drop a granade when they get close to me. but if the bandits does it right, then you won't get to fire your gun before you're dead. you might be able to do some damage. but nothing that harm them in any way, but going down fighting is always fun. it would depend on what i have. if i have alot good stuff, might want to comply since i might be able to keep some of it. like range finder and NVG's items they can't see unless you use them^^

The ONLY Realistic Way to Prevent Deathmatching: Make DayZ a Living Hell
woozaboo replied to Time Glitch's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I like the idea of zombies migrating. as for numbers of zombies, it has already been stated that there will be more zombies on the servers as well as more players. As for making food and water more scarce. that would only make it easier for me to kill the guy next to me. Ammo is already scarce, but there are people exploiting bugs or scripting so they get more ammo. and some people just manage to save up ammo by killing people. i'm normally ruuning around with 3 or 4 M107 clips, and that can last me for weeks. but as the bugs are fixed, you might see a decline in ammo use. tho some guns do spawn alot of ammo, but they are normally weak and less effective. I am playing with a group of people. and from time to time we kill people to take their stuff food, medical supplys, drinks and ammo), or sometimes we're killing people just for laughs (setting up funny traps, that people for some reason fall for. Like ten corpses in the firestation tower in electro or putting NVG's on roofs or roads) and we hunt other groups of people, bandits and survivors alike. I don't like shooting unarmed people, but it happens, espesially if they have seen me. I'm not entirely certain why people say they can't trust anyone. If you want a safe area, then get together with people and claim an area and make it a safe place. with enough people you can take over a town or parts of a town or even make a huge base in middle of nowhere. it is up to the people in game to reduce the amount of mindless player killing. I would not need to kill as many people if they just stopped server jumping or leave the game when i'm trying rob them. (in other words server jumers and "ALT F4" player are part to blame) Only reason for the mindless killing is because people are not trying to trust anyone. Sso what if they kill you? better luck next time, i have met many friendly people in the game, and people who shot me just as i said hi. Also there are many reasons to move in groups, and one of them is, when you have to go into towns, you can have a sniper/spotter on a hill telling when there people comming in, so your friends knows if it is safe or not, and if you're shot your friend might be able to protect your stuff until you can reclaim it. All in all i'm not sure how making things harsher would stop player killing. Only by trusting people will you be able to stop mindless killing, and if you get killed, try again. I think this the lonest post i have ever written, and my english is not very good.^^ -
Heh, never easy. you still stuck? :P you could join a server with hackers/scripters, they love killing people^^
-
It is because of the server jumpers and people who just DC to avoid anything like this. I shoot them first and then take the stuff i want or need. if people stop logging off or server jump, i would've been mugging people instead of shooting the person i see.

Just stay online and hope someone finds you and shoots you^^

How can you tell if people are cheating?
woozaboo replied to mad_orbitz's topic in New Player Discussion
Tip: If you go into towns, especially Electro, avoid any open areas, and if you have to go through a open area then you should run otherwise you're easy target. avoid roofs and windows. and you will be fine. i have not had any problems with snipers Prime targets are: any roof Office building can easely be taken out through the windows from hill side. Firestation avoid any and all windows Stores (when entering or exiting) -
