Played for just an hour or so last night on a 2/3 full server. Spawned in fresh, at Bop, raining, was drenched in no time, got cold, had the shakes, but was able to stay on the move to keep things in check until the rain stopped. Best I found weapon's-wise in the local area was an axe, no small firearms of any sort. Need more time before providing a solid opinion, but in general, the less the better I think. This in theory should significantly change the nature of the game and push it more towards survival vs. run and gun and hopefully not just change it to run and bash. Getting the infected count back up would make a huge step forward in this regard.

Ok, so it's Thursday, and late Thursday at that. I have not checked out the latest blog/twitter/reddit/wtf to know if we're going to spend more time before moving this to stable or not. I have tomorrow off, planned vacation day, to fiddle phuck around with whatever. Any use spending my time on this build?

People reading signs? Really? Seriously? Hell, most won't make an effort to even flip that little lever to let folks know they're changing lanes, let alone notice someone might be in the physical space they intend to occupy. No worries though, natural selection always wins.

Pardon my post, but I just can't agree that , "If your ping is much above 40-50, you're going to start having issues". Sub-100ms is pretty much a good number for first hop assuming low packet loss. Upwards to 300ms if compression is not a factor. Too many variables to consider in our day and age however and too many tricks by ISP's to compensate for poor latency, which is typically what gives us such grief. I digress... and as mentioned YMMV. Hmmm... not sure I contributed anything in the above.

There are places that I've setup a makeshift camp to just get things in order, typically during an early spawn. Those are then left, many times, with some decent loot as I move on. That and I'm getting old, forgetting where the hell I set up shop sometimes, on which server, etc. Speaking of which, it would help if server history actually made some sense...

Network looks really good. I'm running DSL (ATT) old school 6mbs down, similar ping, inexpensive comparatively, literally no latency unless on the SNG server, at least client side.. How old is your rig (PC)? Or more specifically, what are your specs?

Server's are pretty well packed, not my usual affair tbh and my normal server is still MIA to boot. Curious what the checklist looks like for rolling to stable. Reading a few of the recent posts has me thinking we needs a few more infected (my opinion) as well. Not in the mood to login and check for the lootsplosions referenced, probably should do that though. The comment on the M4 attachments found has sparked my interest, though I'm thinking I'm a bit played out at the moment.

Run this and report back... http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest

Did you open the box? I was just reading the text. "Presumably contains"??? Could be an M4 in there!

Also, looking at your pics, Dudester gets shot first every time for that awful choice in attire. Cracking me up!

Awesome! Thinking no on the Easter egg, we just don't have any milk cartons in Dayz to post our lost souls on (here in the states as we have in the past) Great find!

I'd be happy with a fork. And potatoes please.

Garage Sale!!! I have 4 pristine UMP 45's 2 Styre AUG's, 1 pristine, 1 worn, a very nicely equipped military tent, including 1 FNX 45, 3 1911's with multiple clips, 2 gas cans, 4 plastic storage boxes, 2 pristine, 1 worn and 1 damaged. 3 Truck batteries (various condition), 6 glow plugs, pristine chain saw (bitch finding that), Smersh vest and backpack with several attaching packs, a really nice green oil barrel, and all the ammo you could ever need, the list goes on and on. Last but not least, a pristine green V3S equipped with rear benches, pristine battery and glow plug, full of fuel and good tires. I'll throw in the matching oil drum, half a dozen canteens, and a land mine or two. All reasonable offers considered! Almost forgot the car tent...Very nice!

This is interesting... I'll need to pay attention next time.

That's great, thanks, but you didn't mention whether you are leaving the blow up doll?
-
Into the Soda again I see!!!

Thinking it's ready also. With the limited number of exp. servers running at the moment, server/game instance loads are high which is a good thing for final testing.
-
Odd, given the prediction that this build will be moving to Stable fairly soon, I would have suspected them to be in-game. I'd verify but, but there's a small dilemma. The bad news is that the server I play on is not, although I guess that means no one is stealing my stuff. Which is also good news I guess.

I stumbled across well over a dozen yesterday in my travels, a marathon session on the same server no less. I only had to take one down though, little prick wouldn't leave me alone while searching for batteries. The rest I was able to swing wide of and let them be.

Gotta luv data!

Too much drama today, I need Taco's... Goodnight all!
