The increase in Z respawns actually started in the previous Exp. build btw. Many comments posted over a week ago that the forum chatter regarding Zed's would explode when this "feature" hit the Stable branch. I for one like the additional spawns, just a different spin on the game mechanics until a workable solution is finalized. Oh and I'm still so looking forward to what come this Wednesday assuming Exp. rolls to Stable. The poor bastard unaware of this feature sitting in a town during a server reboot is not going to be happy... -
I have a similar problem with spelling Florida. I for some reason always end up with Floriday... I don't know why, I fully understand how it's supposed to be spelled, but when I type it out I always add a "y" on the end. I have to really pay attention when typing that word... Maybe it was the dabbling I did back in high school experimenting with some of the then popular stimulants.

Let's turn this into something constructive while we're here. What would you propose to be an acceptable alternative for a less than stealthy incursion in-to and out-of of a known Zombie hotspot or hive that would appear more realistic? Thought starters: They could in theory spawn out of view distance and let them move towards you at a varied rate. Could be problematic with raw numbers left to roam around, idk.They could spawn from within the ground, though we really don't have a back story to support that in most areas.Areas could be just littered with them standing, lying down, sitting, what-ever, making for a tough decision to enter the space to begin with. Stealth being a potentially better option versus stirring up all the locals with a long ranged shot.Other? Pipe in your thoughts...I'm thinking maybe a combination of all of them to some varying degree from location to location to changes things up a bit. Capitalize on the environment where possible. Out in the middle of an airbase seems slightly more difficult to manage effectively than say a town with a tree line, etc. -

Awesome! I've read similar tales from others of the infamous "Black Forest Horde". I have not experienced this firsthand :(. If the developers could create some randomness of this event elsewhere it would be fantastic. -
Hicks made one mistake in his post... "tldr (too long, didn't read) should have been replaced with "tmtc"(too much to comprehend). Probably both imho. While we're at it, the recently announced increase in the number of new developers will most likely compound some of the issue we see for a while. Yo, Johnny or Sally, you grabbed/duplicated/replicated an old piece of code locally vs. going to the vault...This too shall pass, in time. "I'm sure this is tldr for many people, but the bullet point of what I'm trying to get across is as follows: DayZ Early Access Alpha: Feature development, during which the vast majority of major bugs are created/occur."

If for no other reason than this...there are just not enough hours in a day to stay abreast of everything in this day and age when everyone expects instant gratification, acknowledgement or an online hug. Resources are finite. On Reddit, useful threads get voted up by the users, so the team can see them fast and react to them.

The weapon flashlights, headlamps, torches, are "Partially" bugged at the moment, confirmed in a previous thread starting with the previous Exp. update. My headlamp would work just fine, put that same battery in my pistol or M4 flashlight and nothing. Swapped a dozen batteries (licking them of course, I like the flavor) to verify charge. Then, change servers and they might work, or might not. The hypothesis, unconfirmed, was that if you found the lamp on that server, it would work, else maybe it would. The other thing you will notice is when the lamp is not working, when you select "turn on" using the right mouse button, there is no "turn off" afterwards. Now if you remove the flashlight from the weapon, you would have both, turn on and turn off. They are just acting strangely at the moment. A bug report was submitted btw.

Good to hear you're up and running, and just think of all the fun you're going to have getting geared up again. Try to stay away for excessive nesting of containers/ within one another as much as possible. Also, spawning into any military facility is not something I would recommend in the future. Just too much traffic if something goes wrong, even on low population servers. Hoppers are always hitting them. -

Try logging onto a low ping <50 low populated server early in the day, morning preferred and let your charter sit there and see what you spawn with. Then check your ping, bandwidth and desync numbers. If they stay stuck on all zero's after 5 minutes then your not connecting correctly to the hive. You can try to drop your gear, exit out and respawn on the same server. The problem is if your gear is causing the problem you may not be able to log in correctly still and will need to go to another server to clean things up (gear most likely lost). btw, do you know what your bandwidth numbers were/are? -

Sound more like a network or ISP issue. What is your internet speed? Best bet would to go to somewhere like this http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest and see what your true bandwidth is. -

The main problem is the major desync that's occurring between your character and the hive with all the loot your are carrying logging into a server. I found this out the hard way myself a while back when I figured out one could nest containers, backpacks, whatever inside one another. The blurry screen on the other hand is most likely the result of zed's beating the crap out of you while logging in and out. You're close to death at this point. Unfortunately, death may be the best solution for you if you cannot clean up the contents of your backpack, vest, etc. Sorry, missed the part about you dropping your backpack at one point. Are you sure it made it to the ground? I had a server two weeks ago with such a de-sync problem that I couldn't tell if I was dropping or picking up an item. The game would just lock up at that point and would need to enter task manager to close out the application manually. This continued for an hour, cussing out the respawn timer and lost my M4 in the process as the server rebooted. -
What I wear varies at times based on my mood or trying out new stuff placed in game. At the moment...my Exp. character. Black tactical shirt Black cargo pants Black assault vest Black gloves Black combat boots Black ballistics helmet, beret or bandana Hunter's backpack Aviator glasses (wish these actually worked) M4, standard color w/ all the bells and whistles FNX, w/ red dot, flashlight and silencer Sawed off Fire axe (need to find a black one or paint one) 1 ammo box w/ wide selection of ammo 1 med kit w/3 bandage rolls, 2 morphine and epi 4 protective cases 1 can opener 1 compass 180 rounds 5.56 housed in 3 60 round mags. 6 FNX mags. 15 rounds each 3 bags of rice 2 canteens 2 spare batteries 1 LRS (pristine, in protective case) I will occasionally find the need of a Mosin 1 gas canister and lamp (why I don't know, never used it but once on a night server) 1 pickup truck to haul all this garbage around in Stable branch is worse, I'm carrying two sets of clothing, Camo and Black.

I'm a garage whore. Since the update two weeks ago or so I've not seen an single LRS in a garage. PU's yes, compensator's no problem...flashlights almost always, but an LRS, nadda, zilch, zero, none. Though I said the same thing about morphine not too long ago and the very next day found four of them after almost a week of actually paying attention to look for them.
