In my generally tactful art of innuendo's I would say we need a single player campaign just to combat the I'll effects of "the" community...

We'll get there, current exp. build appears to have slowed down the speed you run (fists up sprint). I'm all over the map, though mostly stay in the Northern half and it's a hike to move from the right coast Svet. to the West edge of the map if you're doing any rummaging in the towns, it will take you days to traverse. Once loot is more randomized and folks aren't just sprinting to known loot spots things will change dramatically. I have mixed feelings on adding vehicles at this point, though I will thoroughly enjoy the inferred quest of find parts to enable a vehicle. I can see a backpack full of spare parts to make repairs as the wheels fall of the wagon. There will need to be an associated risk with vehicles however. Yo, dudes, jump in my jeep, only to see the damn thing go up in flames...priceless. Omg...new skill set, mechanic/technician.

More importantly...Soda! Gamma was up a bit, my only battery was dead. It's Pitch black running around Pavlovo military with all the trees. Latest exp. build 115791 with the enhanced zombie re-spawn. Message to self... find batteries during daytime, they're a bitch to find in the dark.

I've been on exp. for a while and can't wait to see these message boards after it rolls to stable tomorrow...heh. Bambi's are in for a rough ride.

It just started with this latest build. I hadn't played much in the dark the past few weeks and with this update most of the servers are running a 14:00 - 18:00 clock which results in a hour or so of darkness before the server resets. I found I was enjoying that aspect of the game (Zombie re-spawns make it very interesting). I not one to up gamma, it just takes too much away from the experience so I started messing with the various alternative light sources and found this issue.

Yep, not that much of a noob, though thanks for asking btw. I swapped batteries back and forth between the hand held, head mounted, FNX, and M4. The hand held works fine, so does the head mounted light. Also tried a couple different weapons flash lights, and a few different batteries for shits and giggles.

Sorry, the latter (porn) was a joke... The reality is that something has changed with your computers configuration. The two options that I provided are the primary methods of getting you up an running again. Not much else I can do from here. My primary suggestions remain your best option short of having someone around locally that understands what they're doing.

Try this if you haven't already. Right click on DayZ in your Steam library then select properties and click on the local files tab. Once there, the last selection is "verify integrity of game cache", click on that and see what happens. If this does not correct your issue I would suggest that you go into the Windows Control Panel from the Start menu, select "System and Security", then "Action Center", then the last pick on the bottom right is "Restore your computer to an earlier time" Select this and pick the date which proceeds your issues. Let the utility complete the restoration and try again. Oh and stay off the porn sites...

I did a quick Google search on "Device reset failed, error 8876086c" and apparently you are not alone. What else have you done to the base config, are you running fps boost, or any other so called "tweaks"?

If you're playing and someone/something scares the crap out of you, then you should in reality need to change your pants in-game, aka soiled yourself. Else, others should be able to make fun of the fact that you crapped your pants... Bandages do not fix these things.
