So I finally found my first tent an hour or so ago, was so excited. Took it in my hands, found some flat ground but thought, hey, I wonder if this will fit inside by backpack, large mountain variety. I start tossing gear on the ground, ammo box, food, canteen, stove, fnx, etc. and turn to pickup the tent and boom, "SESSION LOST" displays. Awe crap, refresh server list, find the one I was on and click join. "Please Wait" is displayed, so I'm waiting patiently, then not so patiently, hit escape, then refresh, and the server is stuck at 8:00am, and I can't rejoin...WTF. Oh well, time to make a sandwich, I come back down afterwards and all HC are offline for the update. REALLY, I say to myself! I guess it's now a good time to work on that presentation for Monday. Oh and I did experience that LMB again, twice today while chopping down a tree, once spamming the LMB, then restarting the game and holding down the LMB. So apparently it can happen either way. I did however figure out that I could use the scroll wheel to select "chop down tree" and then use my activate button to take a swing. It's an ok work-around for chopping wood, not so much so for anything else. Apparently the Devs. call it this "Player can in rare circumstances enter a state in which they cannot attack and must relog"??? (Copied from the patch notes on Stable btw). -

I have not run across a tent yet on EXP, though I haven't logged many hours this week. I did however run across someones stash they had accumulated near a dear stand. It looked more like a trash heap. I grabbed some food, a 1911 that was laying there and a couple other items. Finding and raiding stashes is at the top of my list of things to do along with scouting for helicopter crash sites. -

Back in the day, yes, a bit of Polish, a bunch of German and some Dutch. On a more inquisitive note, where else better except maybe a 4 Seasons? ;) A bit off-topic, not sure how this will fly, but there's a series of books, if anyone is so inclined to spend some time reading, called "Rama" by Arthur C. Clark. Clark wrote 2001: A Space Odyssey, then with Gentry Lee as a technical advisor, co-authored a number of the Rama series novels. The first book, Rama, is a bit dry, however, Rama II and the following were phenomenal pieces of work and at one point the repopulation of the human species is explored based on necessity out in deep space. These books go into great detail and these details were most often the result of discussing deeply troubling topics with some of the biggest thinkers of our time to consider various scenarios that the human kind would experience. Ok, back on topic...any pics. yet? -

So I was thinking...(first mistake), that if we have persistent tents that it only makes sense then to also have persistent women (or men if you prefer)? Chernarus must be repopulated at some point to save humanity from extinction, sooner, rather than later, else we will run out of players. -

Oh sure...I have a late meeting at work on a Monday, checking out the forums when I get home and find a new patch has rolled out only to see all you whining little bastards from over the weekend sucking up the loot, server spots and bandwidth. I am sooooooo jealous. Post pics. please... -

I dunno, took off Friday from work, vacation day btw and spent pretty much most of it playing Dayz, both before and after the latest update. I'll tell ya that this is a hell of a lot better than going into the office. I won't play stable, I'm here to see what's new, bugs and all, period. For me, it's all about the journey, good and the bad and I play because this is one of the few sandbox games that sparks enough interest to keep me playing. I look forward to each update and probably not for the things that some of you are expecting to eventually see. I've mentioned before that I'm not here for PvP, at least not yet, though I do hope that possibly one day I will be forced into more precarious delimas to survive. That my friends is when this game moves from just another sandbox look-alike to something very much more genuine. The Dev's are on the right track, the step back to more survival mechanics are much appreciated imho. Also, I'm not looking forward to vehicles to be honest. In some way I think it will spoil the nature of the game, however I would really enjoy spending a week to find the appropriate parts and make the necesary repairs. Not sure how much thought has been put into this aspect, but could you imagine having to rebuild an alternator so that the vehicle's battery would recharge? Forced to find brushes, a new voltage regulator, diodes, etc. What if you had to actually learn how to use a volt/multimeter to make such repairs, but maybe not in-game? Sorry, I digress, that and it would be difficult for some I suppose and the community backlash would ensue. Thinking about recruiting for clans... "Team needs a turbine mechanic to assemble replacement jet engine for a Jet Ranger helicopter, must have previous experience, parts will be provided, once you tell use what the hell we're looking for". Nevermind, I just filed a new kickstarter application. Now all I need is a Zombie Apocalypse based game to go with it. Major storms rollin in...computer is going down for a while. -

Yes they are, most of them anyways... Thank you BoneBoys!!! On another note, I experienced that LMB bug today for the very first time. Checking out one of the KOA locations, Zed's flocking to me likes Gnats to Whiskey. I take out the first one with my fire axe, I take a hit in the process, playing on a higher ping server and there's a bit of lag. No worries, patch myself up, notice that my Gorka jacket is ruined, 3rd one since Friday dammit. Head out of the shed I was cleaning myself up in and start making my way through one of the large barns and here comes Nancy. Not only Nancy, but her twin sister Sally, then uncle Buck in camo, and his buddy to boot. Out comes the axe again, side step then swing and NOTHING. Awwww, hell, here we go as I break for the door all four of them in tow. At this point I didn't know it was the LMB bug, figured lag or something. Put the axe back away, thinking I'd just bring it back out and off we'd go. Nope, same thing, axe in hand, axe raises and lowers, but unable to swing with four Zed's barring down on me. Alright, enoughs enough and out comes the SKS. Sights set for a headshot, squeeze the trigger and NOTHING. Well this blows, head for the tree line, checking my six, and two break off fairly soon, then another and finally the last damn one near a mile out. Alright, back at it. -
So with most of the Exp. servers being full, I decided to do a little sight seeing...My apologies if these should be in the gallery, kind of quiet here today. Using uber stealth mode, I was able to capture this... Stopped in to pray for the Exp. server's to be fixed... Was going to fish but realized I didn't have the proper gear... Again, uber stealth mode... For when dirt bikes get added... Yep, you guessed it, too many beans... All is quiet...

Similar issue yesterday on Exp. server after latest update. All players were wiped, not a big deal imho, others will disagree. Spawned in a small town, name unknown, probably 4 minutes ahead of this other bambi/punk. I had already found an axe and some better clothing, etc. This bambi immediately puts up fists and runs towards me. I side step him and then make some distance between us then hit the mic and suggest that he chill out. He then flips me off, and up come the fists again. I again side step him as he runs by, my arms are still at there sides showing no agression and hit the mic again. Finally he gets the hint and moves on. Damn newb's.

So I joined that Singapore server, 04 I think, 5 other players logged in, I'm running East, just North of Balota on the ridge, low and behold not one but three (3) helicopters all spawned in the same location. I was able to pick up a pristine M4, 2 - 60 round mags and a 30 round, a worn ammo box, an FNX 45 but no clip, though I had one in my backpack, two flash bangs, a grenade, and a pristine ACOG, and 2 mags. for the CR527. Oh shit, sorry, just woke from a nap, my apologies... -

I'm thinking this is not related to player drops but rather a bug in loot respawn. Looking closely at the items, there are too many of them that would have been kept in my humble opinion (ammo for sure). Imagine if this is occuring elsewhere, the memory spike wound be tremendous, thus the issue with the servers rebooting??? My $.02 and un-educated guess. -

Very strange server behavior going on... several U.S. servers stuck at 15:00 and 8:00 with ping rates that are off the charts. Only 12 HC servers available globally in total that are below 400ms. Monitoring the local servers (US) I see them spiking to well over 600+ms. I did not try to join, just checking out the status based on some of the comments above. -

Must be one of those dayz....pun intended. Anyone finding .45 ACP boxes? I haven't seen one in 8 hours of play on a couple different servers between last night and this morning, or loose cartridges for that matter. .357 yep, 9mm, yep, shotgun shells, sure thing, 7.65 by 39/51mm, check... I ran across another AK101, just left it there. I did find 2 30 round AKM mags. although I don't have an AKM. Regarding the loots respawns, I am seeing duplicate items on top of one another at a few occastions. Batteries doubled up, you pick up one and and another is there too, exact same spot. This also happened with the 1911 7 round mag. I found, lucky me, as I happened to be carrying one at the time, 1911 that is and those are the only .45 rounds I've come across. Backpacks we're rare last night, not so much this morning, food is also plentyful. Zed's keep ruining my gear though as I refuse to shoot them in most cases. Jackets, hats, glasses, cooking stove, food, screwdriver, all ruined. Though I'm happy to say that I haven't had to fire a single round since the new patch was released. Time to mow the lawn, later guys/gals. -

A little better... I ended up tossing both the CR and AK in the weeds in favor of an SKS that I had ammo for. And yes, that is a pristine banana! -

Was playing for 15 minutes, walked into a large barn where 2 Zed's were frozen in place. One leaper and one Zed bitch stuck in an attack pose. Another leaper enters the barn and as I attempted to kill it with a wood axe I CTD'd with error message DayZ not responding. Starting again now. -
