As stated, you were given numerous opportunities to self-educate before embarking on this journey. And I'm damn sure that your "old man" would bitch slap you for forming such a conclusion at this stage of game development with said fore-warnings provided in advance. If you have nothing positive to contribute, you do no good here.

    It has been stated previously, numerous times, that the Dev's will not comment on what actions are being taken to reduce and/or eliminate said hacks. Not quite sure why you continue to press the subject when said information could circumvent the protocols that are to be reinforced. Move on already!

    Preference is the hunter's backpack for stealth and the above mentioned ability to look over the shoulder. Still looking for a SMERSH vest to see how the SMERSH backpacks look attached however.

    It must be able to be cleared. My "F" key is bound for forward and double tap for run. I don't seem to have any issues with multiple mags. in my inventory. Only with the damn drum-mag. when not enough sluts are available.

    Don't forget the ballistic jock strap and Kevlar cup for added protection to ward off those hoppers...although, at the moment, those items are ultra rare in the latest build. Else you can put that bible in your pants!

    I personally never stop playing due to wipes. Playing on Exp. it's part of the journey, not the end but rather a new beginning. I do however look for the DayZ where there are a little more trinkets for those that love to explore, in detail...

    I wish it were that simple my friend. I'm a garage whore, and since the last two updates, hacksaws have been incredibly difficult to locate. I've been looking for one for a week to cut down a shotty and it has been quite frustrating. I've checked them all, over and over, even the mega multiple garage units across the map. Steel buildings (upper and lower), barns (large and small) even with inventory up scanning for those that sometimes sit within/below the floor. The rarity is pretty much right up there with finding a can opener at the moment. imho of course.

    Yeah, i dunno, just feels natural to me now having used the same setup since FPS's were invented pretty much. There was a game demo released a year or so ago that had hard coded WASD. Trying to play was like attempting to throw left handed for the very first time after being a righty all your life. It was so ugly, I might just as well had a lobotomy and sat there drooling all over myself.

    I have mouse 5 mapped to use/open doors, etc. but I've still managed to loose (poof/disappear/gone for ever) several 75rnd drum-mags when not having enough empty inventory slots open. Not sure, but I think it's a bug. Congrats on the helo find btw!

    Accidentally Duped

    It's a bug, saw something similar yesterday but with orange kiddie backpacks. 4 of them all close to one another, each containing the same gear, rags and a screwdriver. My assumption is that they duped on server restart.

    Had a good run today. Spent 4 hours split between two different servers running the NW to SW corridor. I was struggling to find 7.63/39mm ammo for my AKM for the last couple days and was down to 7 rounds. This was my own fault as I was carrying two primary weapons, an AKM in hand and an M4 off of a helo crash site I had found last weekend. As such, my melee weapon, axe of course, was getting rusty from not being used. I had lost too many primaries in the past, literally lost in the weeds switching to melee so I decided to use the AKM for all threats, although being that the server population was low, said threats were Zed's/Infected exclusively. Knowing all to well that weapons fire on Zed's/Infected is not all that bright given the current build, but WTF, lots of ammo, a couple 75 round drums, and a few 30's as backup, lets rock. Now mind you this was over the last couple of days of using the AKM to dispatch whatever crossed paths with me. Long story short, I depleted all but those 7 AKM rounds taking out Zed's/Infected and their reincarnated brethren. I can not tell you how many times I was forced to run my ass out of town after getting beaten half to death attempting to loot and manage the unrest all at the same time. So finally, I stumble across another helo crash site. This had taken days for me to find, btw, I'm not a hopper, but I do know the routes and had been attempting to take advantage of that. Still, so many hours logged, miles/kilometers traversed, jacket is ruined, pants are ruined, even had a Markov w/clip ruined. So on the helo site, I find an ACOG and an ammo box, both pristine, and I hadn't seen either in a month. So all in all, a good day. Oh and I did finally dump the AKM in the weeds, with a PSO scope btw. It just seems that 5.56 spawns a bit more frequently as of late. Speaking of key bindings, getting back to Barnabus's post... Key bindings are sort of a problem/opportunity for some of us. WASD was not around back in the day and those first entering the era of the FP shooter genre had to mess around a lot to find a comfortable key arrangement that was efficient. I still to this day do not use the default WASD bindings, it just seems all wrong. Home key is "F", as in how all keyboards are setup for typing, so "F" for me is forward, "D" is backward, "E" is strafe left, "R" is strafe right. Tab, like in many games is inventory, though "A" is run, or double tap "F" in DAYZ. Reload is "V" and to throw something is mouse button 4, etc. etc. Probably sounds strange, but when I type, fingers go straight to home keys and that just seems to fit for me.

    Tent Wipe #2...why? "Devs please read"

    I had a nice little collection of tents going. I had not visited them in a couple days or so, I was too busy checking out the new areas, looking for new gear, etc. When I went back, there was a serious bug with item duplication/replication. Cool at first, but globally on the server it must have had a enormous impact on the overall economy and game performance. I happened to have had 1 tent in my pack at the time, I set it up, but my guess based on this thread that it may very well be gone too. Oh well, back at it!

    My interpretation of this DevBlog update is all hands on deck to get 0.49 out. I suspect we see nothing major unless some need to iterate first exists. Not sure if server side bug fixes can be made without a client update, but I suspect this happens without us knowing. As we progress towards the August milestone goal of 0.49 at the end of the month, we will continue to iterate upon the experimental branch with bug fixes and 0.49 intended features. Additionally worth mentioning is the intended cleanup of the stable hive to coincide with persistent storage and private shards being offered globally across stable branch.     Exactly! As I've said previously, there is a reason for the term "survival" in this genre. Some can and some never will, I suspect those that can't should just throw in the towel now and save the resources for those of us that can... Oh, wait, was that not politically correct?     I'm also looking forward to the night cycle coming back. The twilight scramble to get ready, use of gear that at the moment is wasted, the atmosphere, the sounds and dimension/immersion that it adds to this game.
