I've come to describe these as "dead zones" where nothing re-spawns. In the couple cases of this yesterday, I came across a heard of deer frozen in place and also a heard of cows frozen in place. The surrounding area was not spawning gear, thus the term.

Well I have found a few glow plugs over the past 36 hours. But truck batteries, not a single one, nadda, none, zilch, ZERO. Update!!! 5 minutes after posting... of course, guess what I found. But I did find this handy dandy gas-powered shaver.

Going to bed, tired, 10:00pm est. Long week, on vacation tomorrow. See you in the forest bright and early cooking eggs. bring some bacon and a couple of Buds.

Well now I'm going to need to roll one over. 3 PTO's, all we need is a generator and we could turn the lights back on.

IRL we'd be probably be hunting down more than 1 glow plug, though I didn't pay attention if it's a four banger or inline six. But yes, it's what's called a compression ignition engine. The plug(s) are used to warm up the air vs. actually igniting the air fuel mixture like in a petrol/gas engine. If a diesel engine is warm, no glow plug is required to restart the engine. You could in fact pull a glow plug and start the engine assuming it was still warm, although it makes one hell of a racket. As BC stated, I would also like to see someone pull a glow plug while the engine is running. Watching for that last thread or two to strip out under the pressure and put that plug threw the hood, or your head, or both. And yes, once started, a diesel will run forever until the fuel supply is exhausted. Back in the day, I've seen them eat phone books trying to shut down a runaway diesel by attempting to close off the intake air.

I also made a run through Myshkino last night after spawning on the right coast dragging a car tent in hand half way across the map. Interesting comparison to .58 and stable this evening with exp. being down is that in the short time .58 was up, the distribution seemed very much like what I experienced on stable a couple hours ago, ymmv.

Roger that... scavenging around, looking for truck batteries and glow plugs that I don't need. Found a tent though that I had to patch up with duct tape to make her pretty. Movement in general is awkward, but just killing time for exp. to come back online.

Same here. Worked all dayz long, could have hit the pub to play darts (steel tip) but wasn't in the mood for socialization. I did play a bit last night on the new build and was looking forward to this evening spending a few more hours on the camp. No worries though, three fingers of Jack to sip on while I wait for stable to download.

I can only empathize... why a car tent will not fit on a truck is beyond me. I spawned on the right coast after update, need to be on the left coast. Carried that damn car tent over half a continent, or so it would seem. No worries, tent in place, camp undergoing construction. Like others, I do tend to like the restart...

While I'm thinking about it, has there been any discussion around building your own water well? Well points, steel hand driver, piping, hand pumps, etc.?

Another question regarding managing body temperature that I have and will try to vet out later today, is whether or not the different clothing gear, summer vs. autumn for example have any varying affect. Summer gear for example could in theory be a less heavy material. Also curious if hats, gloves, etc. have any impact.

This past Sunday it rained for what seemed like a hour on the server I was on. I was completely soaked and hot as well. Earlier in the day I found that if I removed the jacket I was wearing and put on my green long sleeve shirt, I could run pretty much as long as I wanted to without getting hot. Also, carrying anything in hand appears to exacerbate heat generation.

Parking still available... bring a bedroll though if you're staying, ground is a bit hard.

These... which btw after mining 8 of them, then 3 planting beds, my pickaxe was ruined.

Saw them... was comparing to the seeds in my inventory after taking them out of the package... not sure, just a hypothesis.

I think they are seeds?
