Its not at the moment because people are still learning they cant just log out anymore, eventually no one is going to try and log out in the middle of combat because they know they will die. This little example your trying to use is only a transition phase where people who used to log are learning to stop, in a months time no one is going to log out in the middle of a fight and the example you have given to try and say the whole system is flawed are not even going to be happening when everyone knows not to do it so your entire point is flawed. You must be a combat logger.

Its killing combat because the combat loggers are dying for trying to do what they used to do. Ok you make so much sense, the only ones who are dying are the people trying to combat log and this system has failed.

There is more to the story then you are telling. You character was wiped which is a known glitch and bug that is being constantly worked on. If your carachter had not have glitched then you and your friend would have carried on as normal and everything would be fine. Your problem has nothing to do with the new system it has to do with something completely different, this system made you have to wait a bit longer but it never cause your character to be reset and it never caused your friend to get hit by a zombie, dont blame those two things on it because i don't see how they are related.

Dude had the exact same thing happen to me twice today it was so funny to watch, and then to kill them after of course.

It is absurd but cheaters go to absurd lengths to get heir kicks. As i have said repeatedly the system has its flaws and you have pointed them out and i don't doubt that but i feel its worth it so i guess its just down to personal opinion. Anyway hopefully it is just a place holder and something better is implemented and we can all hold hands and sing together.

So what if a person waits on a hill and keeps resetting the timer until they see someone, as soon as they see someone they let the timer count down and log onto a different server, they then get into the best position they can and log into the same server and kill the person they have just seen. Argue that one away.

Go onto my profile and read my last post, you have made so many assumptions in this post, i don't care what you say about dean or anyone else precisely because this is the internet. But the system you are advocating has been tried and tested and it failed and the reason why it failed has been discussed and i am not going to post it again it is merely two pages away. I have faith that the people who create and build these games would know how to make the best system with the least exploits possible and that's where i stand, you seem to think you know more then dean and the team by the sounds of things. Maybe you should make a game of your own then you can try doing things your way and see how it works out for you.

Let me tell you about a story that occured not more then a mere hour ago between me (chris) and a player called (kev). I had just looted the construction site in berezino and i then go to the cattle pen right next to it. In there i see a player staring at the ground not moving, i hit him with my shovel and he springs to life and immediately pulls out his splitter axe and chases me back to construction site, i apolagise to him and he stops chasing me. He tells me he is new to the game and as i had just found an sks i gave it to him because i knew he had no ammo, it was his first gun and he was over the moon, he asked for food but i had none on me so we parted with a good luck and farewell, i headed to the left of the construction site near the hospital and kev headed towards the school. i looted a lot of stuff and had annoyingly found three entire boxes of sks ammo, after i stripped berezino central i headed towards the school and climbed on the roof, but i heard a noise, who could it be??? I type friendly in chat but dont get a response, i start fearing for my life but then a familiar name pops up on the screen its kev, 'im friendly too' 'someone just gave me a gun' ' come to think of it, it was you', so i reply 'dont worry about me kev, come down to the back of the school i have something for you' as i approach the back i see kev looking at the floor being the noob that he is, i notice he has the gun i gave and the axe but nothing else so i could tell he really was a noob as ten minutes had passed and he had found nothing in an unlooted city, he has no backpack, no food, no ammo and no water. ' kev i have lots of ammo for you here', i then give a random person a gun and a shit ton of ammo and take him on a round trip to get a backpack which i fill with food, drink more ammo and a little note i wrote in it. He cant stop thanking me but i dont deserve it, if he had not chased me back at the beginning i would have killed him then and there so we part ways. Kevin reads the note only to find these words on it. 'Not everyones a bandit and a killer kev, you dont have to be?' Moral of the story is that the OP is not playing the game right or is not giving anyone a chance to prove that this game is more then just a deathmatch, it is and it always will be why dayz is a cut above the rest and if the OP cant see that then he should not be playing this game as it quite obviously does not suit his character. Also i have 300 hours logged just so you know im not 'naive enough to play this way are new.'

I just wanted to say, you actually got them to implement one of your ideas into the game. That is a first i have ever seen on any game or company and i think it's awesome and hats off to you.

You're just extremely ignorant aren't you. If you had taken a little bit of time to read through and absorb some of the information being said you would not have written this. Re read everything and then tell me why it CAN be exploited.

All the points you make are valid but that is why i say it is a burden we will all have to carry. Yes there are holes in this design but the core of it was to stop ghosting and it has succeeded. Also two minutes is not a punishment, thats the difference of a toilet break, far too low in my opinion.

THERE IS FALL DAMAGE IN THE NEW PATCH. I don't know how it works but it seems after a certain point you can take fall damage and i know this because i too broke my legs. I just wish the devs could have explained how it works before adding it in.

Yesterday i noticed some crazy drops in performance, the worse i have ever seen it since release. I thought maybe my computer needed a rest for the night but now ive seen this i think it might be down to something else. Thanks OP.

People are not complaining. You are, i and everyone else have none of these issues you describe. Now if the maximum time is five minutes wait time and you spent 20 minutes playing and you were waiting for an hour and a half, doing the maths i calculate you tried to swap servers 18 times, now if that is all down to your internet connection then there is nothing this game can do to help that. But if it was you switching servers then it is your own fault. You sir are a fraud.

Its definitely better and more realistic. But i think its a bit more unrealistic to design and implement, when they add building meterial and stuff, i will be a bit annoyed if all of my pockets were out of the question and i had to use only my backpack, it would mean i would have to leave lots of stuff behind.
