It uses your default PC username I believe. Change it on the main menu, as Beck said. You must click on the name to edit it.

Nice kills you got there. A bit of a dumb question, but how do you take loot instantly like that? You hovered your cursor over an item, then moved it into your inventory instantly without dragging. Is that shift-clicking or something?

It's a bloody problem on your end, not ours, nor the developers. Not everybody is "all server crashing", so your problem can't be magically fixed instantly. Have patience, the developers are working hard to constantly update their servers and connection among vast amounts of other things. If this is your attitude to a small issue, then stop playing an early alpha game. It is clearly not for you, and you evidently were incapable of heeding the multiple warnings hurled at you both before and after purchase.

There was nothing more infuriating in the mod than that. Playing with some friends, having to go somewhere quickly IRL, then being locked into the damn game for 45 seconds because your friends are nearby. I think the current system is the best it could ever be - if you need to go somewhere, nobody stops you from logging out - at your own risk. And 30 seconds is enough time for someone to clock on and kill a combat logger.

1) You do not appear to others during the timer, you cannot be killed. 2) You will not lose anything if you disconnect during the timer, I did it earlier and was fine.

PvP is a vital part of the game. As others pointed out, it sustains a tense atmosphere for all players. Each survivor must remain cautious and watch his back, or face the consequences. Player encounters would be pointless with PvP disabled. Most of the fun with them is perceiving whether the person you are talking to will try to harm you or not. Anyway, PvE only servers would be a disaster. The vast majority of those playing on them would do so solely to farm loot, entirely risk-free (unless they somehow manage to meet their fate from zombies).
