Why watch a sport when I can go play the same game? Why listen to music when I can sing? Why watch any fictional move/tv/show when I can go enjoy 'real life?'. It is all a form of entertainment, it's not up to you to tell people what they should find entertaining.

Wouldn't it only turn off the shadows your character sees? If I have shadows enabled, I will see your shadows even if you have yours turned off.

To further the above posters point, spawning of loot IS inconsistent right now. Not all buildings, and areas currently spawn loot - this is a bug (most of the smaller houses right now don't spawn loot). Military tents don't spawn loot (they are supposed to). By design based on server performance, loot does not re spawn - this will change in future patches.

This title of this thread is ENTIRELY misleading.

In game coordinates really aren't a thing. Most towns have street signs (in Russian) that you can use to get your bearings and use an external map to give you a rough estimate of where you are.

If we are going on the whole 'realism' thing, I can certainly start my swing from a lowered position. It may be less accurate or powerful, but I am able to do it.

It's specifically mentioned in the 'Known Issues' section of the ChangeLog. This to me indicates it is a bug. It's certainly open to interpretation,

Go into 'ready' stance (hit space bar). Known bug not being able to swing in passive stance.

I don't see an issue with the current inventory set up. Yours looks jumbled and will give any OCD-minded player fits.

First death with a 'geared' character is the hardest. It will get easier, and you will become less attached. Death in Chernarus isn't a matter of 'if'.

KOS'ers make the game interesting, intense, fun. If I could stroll into every town, air base or location without worry of being killed by other players I would have quit DayZ already.

There are literally thousands of servers. I have not once had an issue where I didn't have my choice of thousands of public servers to choose from, nor have I ever been kicked from a server.

Honestly go about my business as if they aren't there. They are so clumbsy and slow, I continue going about looting houses. Usually, the second I go to the second floor of a building they bug out and I lose them.

True hacker, I don't think so. There was on instance where I thought it possible. I hit another player with 7 or 8 rounds from an M4 square chest, and he didn't go down - but this could have been lag, or desync.

You go immediately into unconcious because of SHOCK, not because of blood loss. Low health = fuzzy screen, progressively worse Low Blood = Screen desaturation, progressively worse

My friend literally died to a tea-bagging this week. At NEAF, friend is prone - other friends squats on his head, prone friend immediately get 'You are dead'. Amazing.

It's a sandbox, that's the beauty. If you're afraid of going to populated areas, they may not be a whole lot to do. You can go to the coast and help new spawns, you can fight bandits, you can hold people up, you can snipe people. Full content isn't in yet, IE base building, foraging, hunting etc - player interaction is the key focus of the game currently.
