    KOS HQ

    Airfields? - Automatic KOS Known Bandit? - Automatic KOS Strolling through a town and come across people - I gauge their actions, gear and # of players with them to determine threat level. If I can maintain the upper hand of the situation, but still have a civil interaction, it allows much more fun gameplay

    SKS vs Mosin

    I was under the same dilemma yesterday. Ultimately went with the Mosin because I had 50 or so Cartridges for it but couldn't find any SKS ammo.

    Do people still server hop?

    Until this type of play style you reference is FORCED, you will never have this desired effect. The only thing that will permanently solve server hopping is private hives and one character per server, COMBINED with item respawns. We need to remember they are testing core functionality, optimization and new items at this point. I enjoy the game today for what it is worth - a semi survival game (but no real threat if you know what you're doing), with end game focusing purely on pvp on other player interactions. When it is beyond easy to gear up (less than an hour to fully kit out), players will take more risk and be more willing to pull the trigger. When Private hives and item respawning hits, the game will be quite a bit different.
  4. Outside of Military, the School or the Piano House. AND the Supermarket! Found a can opener, compass and Fire Axe in one loot of the Supermarket!

    Bandits do NOT ruin DayZ!

    Bandits make the game enjoyable. It makes every human interaction stressful. It makes me constantly keep aware of my surroundings, especially in hot zones. It is safer to approach a situation assuming someone is a bandit, establish the upper hand, and then determine if they are a threat to you. If DayZ (end of world scenario) were in real life, I can assure you just as many bandits would exist.
  6. Private servers + loot respawn = Fixes this entire issue By private servers, I mean available to public but on a personal hive.
  7. Key places to check: 1) Piano, oftentimes an Axe on or under 2) Metal Shelf next to the stairs. Ammo, canteens, waterbottles, Mosin 3) Center floor, downstairs - found the new double barrel there 4) Upstairs back room - food, clothing

    Who else wants the music to be added into game?

    Awful idea, honestly. How am I expected to hear footsteps, walking and other players talking if there is a sound track in the game?

    I wouldn't be surprised to see a character wipe this time around. Since they are adding measures to prevent server hopping and combat logging, they may want a fresh start to see how characters interact with each other and gear spawns.
  12. My friends and I typically play together, whether we are performing heinous acts of murder or helping the occasional passive new spawn. I typically prefer to use the M4 and go in for tactical and upclose encounters, while my friend provides overwatch. When we are on the outskirts of a town, airfield etc I feel completely blind to movement and people in the area and my friend with a long range scope has to communicate all movement to me. Since there are no binos in the game as of yet, I feel I have to make a decision between using a gun I am more comfortable with and being able to scout effectively.

    Couple questions

    1. No, they currently don't have loot 2. Inventory and UI changes are all being worked on. Functionality is the focus now, with optimization closer to launch.

    Very good idea. Whether looting a corpse, or tending a wounded friend you feel extremely exposed out in the open.

    I would say close to 15 in game hours until I (just) died about 5 minutes ago. We think it was a hacker, oh well.

    Bad eyesight / Glasses

    Honestly, if I fresh spawned in and my character didn't have 20/20 vision, I would just jump off a building. Impaired vision due to disease, smoke bomb/tear gas or injury? I am all for that. Innate bad vision, not a fan.

    Future plans for cooking, gathering, hunting and farming. I'm not sure cannibalism will be implemented, though.

    Vest and and holster should be worn at the same time, IMO. Or, build a vest with that slot already built it at chest level.

    No server hopping + way less ammo guns = a less KOS mentality To put it in Dean's words "If you have three bullets, will you really use one of them to kill someone if you have other ways of dealing with a situation'. (paraphrase)

    Shit, you actually log off in towns? I always log off in deep cover in the woods.

    Did you post it in the Bug Report feedback form? Try and see if it is a repeatable bug.
