Why people need to stop complaining - Rant from veteran gamer/player
Starstruck replied to StonedProphet's topic in General Discussion
Read it, the OP makes some pretty valid points. I tip my hat to you, good sir. -
I discovered a gentleman with a rifle who I promptly disarmed. I then let him choose between 'tic', 'tac' or 'toe'.. No matter what choice was made, the person would be executed. He chose 'tac' which happened to be my .357 Magnum revolver. He died soon after. (a recording of this will be uploaded in the 'Gallery' section of the forum in about ten hours, check my profile's content then to find it) I learned that people die when you shoot them in the head..

30 second, 60 second, whatever, it's still in Alpha for crying out loud, have a little patience ;)

This is freaking beautiful. I love you.

More important in some cases!

You must be playing on a server with real dickish people. My recommendation would be to team up with friends and see how that works out. Playing DayZ by yourself has never been as fun as playing with a team (this is just my opinion, of course).

I'm pleasantly surprised to see the reactions on this thread. I'd like to clarify that I am an extremely peaceful player and, as aforementioned in one of the comments, did actually holster my weapon and raised my hands several times to show that I am, in fact, friendly. I checked my surroundings as well to make sure the guy (and myself of course) didn't get blindsided by a random super-zombie from Zombabwe. All he had to do was slide his rifle onto his back, that's how this could have been prevented but alas.. Anyway, I really appreciate the comments left in this thread, it's pretty cool to see a community focused on a single game be so actively involved. Happy hunting!

Partially correct. I store my pistol in the tactical vest along with two clips of ammo and two handcuffs. For some reason, I'm able to pull the weapon out quicker when it is stored in the vest. The aiming itself is just me right-clicking to aim down my sights right after I pull it out. I then fire. Even if you're not zoomed in, you can just start taking shots at the guys especially at such a close distance.

I agree with Mos1ey on this one. I used to quit and not play for days when I got killed.. Until I figured I might as well invite a few friends of mine, meet up and be friendly to everyone we met. If a guy turned out to be a bandit, it was 3v1 anyway. You learn the basics a lot quicker with friends, too.

Woo hoo! As you can see I tried being friendly but when the first guy made a motion of going for his gun I wasn't going to go down without a fight. Specs MOBO: ASUS P7H55-M CPU: Intel i5 650 (3.20 GHz) RAM: 4GB Kingston HyperX 1600mhz RAM GPU: ASUS GTX 770 DCIIOC 2GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM.

The guy wasn't communicating at all though, the fact he didn't speak a word (I tried both voice and typing) freaked me out and led me to the decision of blowing his brains out.

The pistol's a much safer option.

I like the concealed holster these vests have. Fucker never saw it coming, skip to 2:00 into the video for action ;)
