More than double the price than the mod and 10 less total players---very high price point. Also, didn't Hall say waaaay back that they really want to do servers that can handle 150 players? If they stick to this pricing model, I mean---am I the only one that thinks the pricing is absolute robbery? I find it insulting. If this is the way its going to be, I can see how its going to be when private servers come out. Donor loadouts, 1000+ vehicles, self blood-bag/saline.

[OUTDATED] DayZ: The Ultimate Loot Route
Good Greef replied to frostknivez's topic in General Discussion
Probably edit the entire route. The only place worth hitting on your route is Cherno because nobody goes there anymore. Balota is dead for loot, Electro is suicide, Prigorodki (for real?), Kamy is griefer territory, I'm just going to stop there. -
I wouldn't play the mod again if you paid me a salary. Rust is crust, a game for kids. Looks like complete shit to me. High server prices for something in Alpha state is justified? Economics would actually suggest a price-point that's 60% less of current valuation. Look at all the servers that have gone awol. Don't join or be kicked, private, pve, etc---the list goes on and on. I see them everyday and zero policing. Your out of your mind, point blank.

Positive. Just because I recently registered doesn't mean I just started playing the game. Deduction is far more complicated than that. I didn't have any problems with them until June-July of 2013 when all the ddos'ing was going on, which is a big reason why I left the game. There were other reasons; over modded servers killing traffic, community had dwindled to a crawl, basically jumped the shark, etc. But before that, no issues to complain about. Dayz.st wasn't the only place I looked at either. I went with them because of their price point. MPGS.CO is 72.16 USD/month. Vilayer is 1.55 Euro's per slot. 40 slots is 62 Euros which is 83.89 USD/month. Gameservers is 2.25 USD per slot with a 30 slot max totaling 68.95 USD/month. Reiterating, I'm f*cking insulted at those prices and Dayz Mod was never that expensive 4 months after release. I am a grown adult and could afford it if I wanted it, but I got this thing about being ripped off. Maybe I'm old fashioned and getting ripped off is the new thing all the kids are doing.

When will Dayz optimization for laptops?
Good Greef replied to koba09's topic in New Player Discussion
Why doesn't anybody post their VRAM? Like I'm going to go look up the card specs. SMH. -
What month in 2012 was that exactly? Because I rented a dayz.st server in October or November of 2012 (which was 6 months after release. If I miffed that up let me know.) and it was 30usd/month and the original price was 35usd/month (at least that's what dayz.st said on the main page). In fact, I just checked and its the same exact price/deal so dayz.st hasn't dropped their price on the mod since 10-11/2012.

FRAPS it man, I wanna see it. Hit the P button on the list and maybe try and get one of them to talk before they kill.

How I have stayed alive for 6 weeks on a single character
Good Greef replied to knar33's topic in General Discussion
Problem I have with medics is they are only helping Bambi's stay stupid. If you need medical assistance from a random medic, your not doing it right. -
Well done combat loggers and Server hoppers!
Good Greef replied to Z0mbi3z's topic in New Player Discussion
I have to agree here. I see no reason why people that don't live/breath on combat logging would be mad at the new security measures. -
Charging people money to help you "make" a game....

Alpha is great and I love seeing the new additions every couple of weeks. Its like Christmas over and over and over and over. Some people gripe just to gripe. -
Great Game, So Far Encountered In-Game Players Not So Great...
Good Greef replied to Macovzki's topic in New Player Discussion
No such thing as friendly or non-pvp servers. Its a trick and you as well as many others fall for it every day. Its a false incentive to get weaklings on board, nothing more. You fell for it. What kind of game would it be if the danger of death wasn't there? It would be crap. No training wheels in DayZ unless you want to play the mod. -
If the 256 is VRAM, big problem.

Long story short. Killed by an invisible player on the top floor of the hotel in Electro next to the church. Nobody got by us. Either invisibility hack, desync manipulation, or logging in behind us. I got killed upstairs on the top floor and my friend who was right next to me almost got it too but logged. He said some guy appeared with no pants and an axe as he was logging out. Totally invisible until he was logging out. They got to do something about people logging in behind others. Make the player unable to use weapons for 30 seconds or something. I don't know, but what I do know is sh*t like this makes a game; even in an alpha state, unplayable.
-
YEAH HE COMBAT LOGGED BECAUSE THE GUY HITTING HIM WITH THE AXE WAS INVISIBLE. I don't want anybody to feel sorry for me. I just want a f@cking enemy to be visible when he's 5 feet in front of me. Somebody didn't read the non-fine print---IT WAS A MAN WITH AN AXE WITH NO PANTS 5 feet in front of us.
-
It wasn't a zombie, it was a pantless man with an axe and it happened in 2 seconds. Not a zombie.
-
Computer is far beyond specs. No reload noise, so maybe it was a hack. I think I shouldn't be killed by something that is NOT VISIBLE that's 5 feet in front of me so yeah. If your not visible from 5 feet away, your should be rendered useless. The guy was INVISIBLE, so yeah I don't think he should have the advantage.

Dead character cleanup performed at 10 minutes past death Isn't that going to keep people near the coast though? I thought the idea was to get folks all over the map. Changing the spawns to the east coast has populated NWAF (as well as other North Western regions) again which in my experience was dead until those spawns were changed. This is going to keep people away from NWAF for sure. A seasoned vet would be challenged to make it from the coast back to his dead body at NW before 10 minutes. In the mod, players ran 1k meters in 3 RL minutes. Not sure on the actual distance from the coast to NW in SA (SA seems to move faster, nothing than my eye/gut to back it up) IMO, 15-20 minutes seems more appropriate. I was wondering, the mod only allowed 144 heads alive/dead on a server before shit hit the fan. Has that number increased in SA or is it the same? -
