So I packed up Tuesday night with a friend, had to leave a tent behind because we, I accidentally item glitched it. Now there was a weekly restart yesterday but when I logged in last night not only were the stuff still in the server but the tent was no longer glitched and the SKS that I could not see was on the ground. Does anyone have any info? Did the servers not have their weekly restart maybe? Or is Persistance finally working?

I hate how ppl use the word realism to back up there arguments, guys stfu, it's a zombie apocalypse game, keyword game haha than zombie, it's as real as it gets sure but for you guys to say, O I think there should be less or more gun because that would be more realistic is absurd. It's about entertaining the player, so once everything is in and things are acting accordingly I'm sure the devs will try to make it as fun and balanced as they possibly can. And if not there will always be mods to get your pricks hard. Right now though you guys are arguing for no reason.

There's guns everywhere, most these days don't require a mag, an AK with a mag and some attachments is a commodity not a right bro, military style ARs need to be rare to complete. Getting to a military base is not hard at all. You want something that's cool because again there's plenty of weapons that you can use, so your wa wa wanting that automatic to be easy to find for your own personal reasons that really don't matter to the people that actually enjoy dayz.

Would also like to know some info, I have my tent packed on my back, and I wanna go out and start playing already haha,

Did the weekly master reset happen yet? All my stuff and one glitched tent are still here on the server, pls let me know if you know what's going on

The mosin LRS with the AK74U is the best combo at the moment. Snipers are really OP in dayz at the moment, and with more and more people grabbing guillie suits it's going to make them even harder to catch. The only weakness a sniper has at any given situation I would say is patience, if you do not have that my friend I would deff. suggest an AR. You asked for tips on sniping well here it is: try not to shoot moving targets, try to wait till they stop; only take the shot when you know you'll hit, especially if they do not know your position; Range finders are very common at the moment, grab one and learn the distances for your favorite snipe spots, learn how to zero if you do not know yet; play with a friend that's willing to be the assault guy, sniping is alot easier when you don't have to blow your cover for looting dead bodies, plus you'll be watching your buddies back so it's a win win for both of you; when you can hear your guy breathing heavily don't zoom in, it fucks up the whole hold your breath thing and your aimer will be everywhere, lastly practice die repeat practice die repeat.

So I see two guys at the Vybor military base, I shoot at them hit one and they both run into a barrack. I go around see one throughout the window maybe 5' in front of me, shoot him with the AKM a few times and dead on, but nothing happened , he looked at me and also shot and the same nothing went through. Is this a known glitch ? I'm sure I ve shot ppl through that window back in the day

Glad to hear it wasn't me doing something wrong. When I say back in the day I mean the first three months of the standalone, I did shoot someone through the window down at the balota barracks

Found a heli on a field in the west, non persistent server. First time finding a heli, there was (2) M4s, a silenced pistol, a few mags for the M4, pristine acog, a grenade and some more ammo for a few other things. A very successful find for a first timer I would say. Too bad I put most of the stuff in a tent and of course the tent decided to glitch and disappear. Speaking off when a tent disappears is there any fixes, like maybe it's sti there I just gotta do something to see it?

Hey guys, I stopped playing for about 3 to 4 months. Just coming back and truthfully I'm not sure what client I played last doesn't matter really. I've played probably about a good 40 hours the last week, read up on as much as I could and I know most of the new things that were implemented. Now there's a few lil things which I just can't find solid answers for and was hoping this great cough cough community can help. 1. Which items are persistent ? Can I leave something on the ground and come back for it later? I do know there's a main reset every Wednesday. 2. This tent business, I've found a couple of officers tents, I saw some pictures of a small blue tent and was wondering if it's still obtainable? 3. How long do bodies stay on the ground these days? Thanks guys for right now that's all but I'm sure something will come up once we get going

DayZ at its core will always just be a sandbox pvp. NPcs will never be as intelligent and dangerous as another player. Being scared of zombies is a thing in the past. Get ready for the bandits and cannibals

That is very true, I'm sure even in real life after a few times killing zombie you'd be doing it like a pro just look at Carl lol, Walking Dead reference. But guys there's other experiences to be had in DayZ. The thrill of chasing people city after city, the fear of being chased city after city. Have you seen someone else drive by a truck yet, scary shit guys. That's the great thing about Dayz.

But if you do any research at all, the developers have said that with this patch they wanted to see how people would get to these three trucks, which spawned a lot of groups to get together again in dayz. My own group came back and let me say we had a blast looking for these things and I ll tell you right now I wouldn't had it any other way. I heard experimental was full of trucks, I think it was every location that could spawn a truck did. So if your purely trying to "test" these things than maybe you should hop on that experimental ban wagon,

Rare items are a pain but so fun to go hunting for. First trucks are not hard to find, my suggestion is stick with 3 main servers you like and that have a balance amount of people in it so you won't get bored. Learn these servers, the restart times, the players, clans locations of popularity. Than when you have all the info you need, use it to your advantage, Don't hop into a server when it restarted like 2 to 3 hours ago, the trucks are most likely gone. What I like to do is say hey I'm going to make my way towards the NWAF and depending where I spawn I'll plan a trip where I pass through as much cities that spawn trucks as I can. I've found a lot of trucks but just so everyone knows trucks are super glitchy and figity. I've died probably 5 times out of the 20 or so times I've had a truck. Also right now I'd say they're not really worth the hassle.

The solution to hiding cars and things from helis seem to be a tarp ( big guillie suit for your camp or vehicles) would be great give the sewing kit another thing to do.
