Whitehawk (DayZ)

Im not sure if this is a bug or some error so im going to start with a post here and see what people think. When I log on to dayz servers, I cant take a wepone out, if i drop something on the ground it will never show up, i can move around on the server, but say I pick something up it will not show up on my backpack say. Now if i go to an other server, ill have the same probs, but anything i droped onthe last server is gone, and anything i picked up will now show up on this server. But the problem dose not seem to go away. ive spent the last 2 hours trying to find a server this dose not happen on, or trying to find a fix but nothing. Also when i look at the player list (pressing P) it shows erverone with Zero, bandwith, ping etc. I use to see vaules here. Not sure what to do :( Thanks for taking time to read this.

This seems to be a bug since update, what we need people to do is go to the Bug report page and look up issue 0007857, and give it a vote, more votes the faster this will get fixed. Try to all vote on same issue and the more then get set up on same problem will dilute the votes :(

just to check, like TedZ said - you have tried running as fast as you can, i.e. turbo and keep hitting "V" to vault out of the wall! keep doing this and you should work your way out if you stuck in something. Apart from that ill wait to see screenshot before i say more ;) If cant take a few mins for you to work yourself free when running and vaulting, but should really work....

this is happing to more and more ppl these days, you will see if you hit "p" that ping and bandwidth are 0 for you and others. There is a few ways to fix it. Most people who get this error (of sorts) have too much stuff on them, so for example in your back pack you may have a few yellow boxes full, or ammo boxes, first aid kits etc. Also if you have a say yellow box in a yellow box or backpack in backpack etc this will be why you getting this problem. 60 stacks of ammo in ammo box im told also will do it. So the fix. drop some of this kit (yes you going to lose it) and log out and restart. Now ive been told by some people with this that "no i dont have all this kit" well if so id just restart your character, this seems to work for people also. My theory is some ppl we know out there a copying kit on the ground for the hole group, lots of us have seem ppl running around all looking the same, exact same.... if some of this kit gets out it may be the course of this bug. A few weeks about someone on here fixed this problem by just droping some random itiem they had last picked up, i think it was water bottle or ammo mag, anyhow you could try that.

Ok just to get a clear picture, can you see when you press "p" if you have 0s beside bath with, ping etc when you are not able to interact with things. 2nd have you checked your firewall? 3rd have you adjusted in game setting i.e. maybe reduce some of them see if that fixes it 4th, give you re started your character! ive had some crazy things happen to me, and by respawing and doing full restart on game you would be surprised what it has fixed.

Ok, just so you know it may come back, this is an error alot of ppl have, however you seem to be the first ive seen with no gear (apart of start kit) just to watch out dont carry too many yellow boxes, ammo boxes and first aid kits, i.e. anything that stacks in something else inside a bag etc. this seems to give everyone the 0's on ping bandwidth etc. best of luck and do drop a message again if it comes back, tho lets hope it dose not.

id go with everything as low as you can put it, cant go wrong there, after that i did turn off as many other programs as i could on my pc to give the game just that little bit more processing power! you could try that.

Ya im sure you are not the only person this has happened to, ive also seen it. However ive no idea how to fix it, for me it just went away...

Ive had a prob like this before also, Some info that we need to know! what gear do you have on you?when you join any server, press "p", for ping, bandwidth etc do you see "0" ?

The following works if you stuck in a wall; not sure if it will work here but could give it a try. From an other post of mine - "All you have to do is vault out, i.e. start to run fast (turbo) and press V (i.e. button to use to step over fence etc) at same time; keep doing this and you should work your way out of the wall in no time"

Well I have the healthy status showing, however i have not eaten in ages then all of a sudden i get message bottom of screen, im starving to death.... yet im healthy, I eat lots and drink lots and healthy stays, after a while it says stuffed... and still healthy... its like healthy status is stuck there yet im clearly not healthy if im starving to death!

Yep they are still down (im guessing; based on the fact that i cant see any!), hope they back up soon :)

It seems then that something is clearly broken in the game right now with yellow protector cases, ammo boxes etc! :(

I also forgot to add, I would agree with past posts that BattlEye may be a factor in this. But am not sure how. Could BattlEye be thinking that say a yellow box in a backpack is someone cheating a block them from interacting with game?? i dont have a clue tbh! But i hope the solve this issue soon as as it stands game is now unplayable for some people due to this error.

Yep ive been having this problem as well, not sure how to fix it yet, I have a other post on this called " Problem with interacting with servers (when in game)" I have been finding that if i dump my gear, namely ammo box, first aid and yellow box (also nesting backpacks in one an other etc (if you do this, i dont)) and after dumping this gear leaving a server restarting game and joining a diff server that the problem goes away. NOW when i join the server problem seems to be there but all i have to do is wait around 2 mins and it starts to work on its own, and i can take a gun out etc. I have also tried killing myself, restarting game this also worked for a bit, however i just picked up and filled one ammo box, along with having one other ammo box and a first aid kit and the problem seems to be back again. so im now going to retest the above and see if it fixes it for me again. If so it will mean i just cant carry any ammo boxes etc in a backpack. I will report back soon, but try this out and see if it works for you. If not maybe someone here can suggest why it seemed to work! and help in finding the root cause. Do check out my other post " Problem with interacting with servers (when in game)" on this forum, for more past discussions on this.

Ya i dont think there is a fix to this. The game is as buggy as hell, and this will randomly happen. Ive read a few things that may cause it but im not sure on this like the game dev team can reset player accounts on the servers (after an update etc) if they working on something for example (so im told anyhow) or like i read a post a while back that said if you change your steam name it will reset you on dayz.

ya it seems to be having nested kit in your bag, ive just tested this again, reset my character, filled up a ammo box put it in a backpack with first aid kit and bang now i cant interact with anything on the server. killed myself, restarted game and I can now interact with servers.... very odd error and im not even putting a backpaack in a backpack. Clearly this is a bug they need to fix.

Ya i had not "nested" any of my container (ever) but still was effected, I would agree, even a full container may effect you. Ive also been old on a server that holding 60 round stacks of bullets out of the clip and in ammo box may effect you... not sure on this but. Sorry to hear this. Have you tried a respawn? I saw someone that all the characters where ment to be killed a few days ago with an update, maybe yours did not. (I would like to point out im not sure on this just something i found when trying to solve my issue) Also I still find now when i join a server that i have desync for about a 1min but seems to fix its self, so i think what i did sort of fixed my problem but not 100%, so im at a bit of a loss. Anyhow will see if anyone else finds something.

I think i may have a possible fix, not sure need you all to test it plz: Fist off here is recap of prob: I have been unable to play the game for days, i could not open doors, take out weapons etc. yet my desync said 0 but also ping and bandwidth was 0, tryed everything i could think of on my end and nothing worked. Test fix (plz report back) I when in game and i removed from my inventory my 3 yellow storage boxes from my backpack etc and my first aid pack as well as my ammo box. I logged out of server turned off game; started back game went to a new server, and it seemed that it was not fixed but WAIT, around 1min later my desync showed up (where before it along with ping was 0) i waited some more and the game went back to normally (no desync), ive now played for 40 mins and no problem, jumped servers to test it and still working. I never have used the glitch where you can put boxes etc in other boxes so this was not the prob here, but it seems by me just having a few full storage boxes, med kit etc in my backpack and tac-vest it caused the bug. Id check your character; see if you too have a ammo box full, and full storgae boxes etc and if so remove them. Or even if they no full just remove them, yes you going to lose stuff, but if you have the same prob as me you cant play the game anyhow so it should not matter. I cant say this is the "fix" but it worked for me. So worth looking in to I would think. Plz post back, if it works for you also I will then send on as much info as i can to the dev team. Summary: Remove all storage boxes, first aid kits etc from body, restart game go to a server, wait a short time and it should work again, not sure if you should pick up your old stuff, i did not as im thinking it bugged and not worth it. Pls report back, I hope this works for other people like it did for me, best of luck, Whitehawk.

Thanks for the feedback, glad im not alone, did not know the term "desync" but after reading this i looked around and seems since the new patch alot of players have this "desync" problem.. no fix as of yet but it would seem :(
