Anyone who is highly trained with weapons and martial arts can give an untrained average sized person a whooping. When it comes to bladed weapons, men and woman have an equal chance to win because strength has little to do with it. What most "males" are talking about is the average female versus the average male in a hand to hand combat situation, the male will leave the winner. Males are stronger then females in general as well as heavier. Even in the trained world (boxing, mma you name it), man is considered the strongest. Catering to woman and making them believe they have just as much a chance to "beat a man up" will only harm their chances of escaping a real attack or rape attempt. That is why I believe a woman should always carry a secondary weapon (knife, mace, taser, etc..) especially if they go to clubs and other areas of that sort. My two cents. Regarding the clothes articles, keeping everything unisex is probably better. Hair changes and the likes I can understand, as long as it stays in a realistic fashion (ponytails, small bangs etc..)

You can already have three guns on you. One rifle, a sawn off double barrel shotgun as well as a pistol. And if you so chose you can keep your rifle on your back and hold another rifle in your hands. That's 4 firearms. It's already enough. What we need is different weapons, AKM is coming soon apparently.

I spawned in game just now, in the building I had left a few days earlier. I guess the guy heard me spawn in because of the bullshit announcement to everyone that Im coming in game. He clearly doesn't move as he knows Im in the building yet I can have no clue what so ever. I move two steps up stairs and get killed. 4 days worth of scavenging and surviving many bandit encounters (I usually try to avoid killing opponents) just to get killed 10 seconds after I spawn in game. Worse bullshit luck and moment I've experienced so far. I'm pretty sure they were server hoping as well seeing as they were a fairly large group (heard them laughing after killing me) and I had spawned really close to my death location and a group that big (3 or 4) does not travel so quickly. Even if they weren't that was still pretty frustrating..

Holy shit, people still complaining about 3pp. Go on 1st person only servers and leave the rest of us alone with your complaints.

Basically this fits into my kidnapping thread I had posted earlier. I need to unleash something very dark inside my being and this game will be my catalyst. After many gruesome events happen maybe Ill be content to play the game "normally"... maybe..
-
I want this, I want to stalk and calmly wait for the perfect opportunity to then come out of the darkness and silence and to yell and scream in delight as my rotating blades skewer my delicious prey, maybe cut their legs off and slowly watch them relinquish themselves of their fluids. Once this beautiful orgasm of life and death climaxes, I will return to the darkness to await my next prey. Mmmm... please..

I never had a problem to hit anything, I know when I die is cause I fucked up especially in a fire fight. Some things you cant control (like glitches) but never so far have I shot at someone and he has not downed quickly from those shots. I'm pretty sure you missed most of your shots, maybe not all of them but most. Now get the sand out of your vag and go play a new character, its really easy to gear yourself up.

So, I MIGHT have combat logged....and something very confusing...

This has also happened to me on a few occasions. Didn't know about logging out and waiting might fix the problem. Considering Im just waiting for my next character to die to start something... different I dont really care if it happens again. -
Haha yeah I went a little too far with the torture but being able to kidnap people and ask for ransom or drop them in the middle of nowhere with no gear would be a good way to mess with people. Besides in a world full of violence (Kill on Sight) I don't see why torture would not be part of this. No system, no law equals no consequences to foul actions. I can guaratee you we'd have a much different breed of people if this was the case. I imagine we'd all have done some pretty gnarly things to stay alive and exact revenge against people who took something important from us. Anyways about the burlap sack, it sounds great, I had a feeling it might be used in such a way, basically giving you a black screen or a very distorted see through effect. The possibilities are endless and I do hope to snatch a few of those deserving.

Thanks, I really hope to see something like this make its way to the game.

A friend of mine and I just talked about that in game. With the addition of tactical vests it leaves the waist/leg areas kind of barren. Adding a way to store your sidearm and a few mags might really add some welcomed addition to character customization. I like the idea and hope to see it implemented.

I assume with the addition of handcuffs the dev team has some sort of intention to add kidnapping of players a possibility. If this is the case I would like to add a few suggestions to further this idea. KoS is a situation right now that seems to bother a lot of people and the way I see it the only way to make these players pay for their crimes is to force them into a situation they will not want to find themselves in. Once the unconscious glitch is fixed Im hoping that when someone falls unconscious this will allow you to handcuff them. Once cuffed you could either knock him out once more with a solid fist to the jaw or blunt extension of your body. The drag option we had in the mod would have to make a reappearance here and maybe a new game mechanic of forcing a player into a vehicle or vehicle trunk if that player is unconscious. This way you could really make the player pay or really torture him (whether you're seeking vengeance or you're just plain evil). This would actually make the addition of handcuffs more interesting then the steal blood or take the clothes off a player and re-enact a prison scene. Some balancing would be needed to not be able to keep a player in custody/kidnapped indefinitely. With the addition of all the tools (screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, etc..) the potential to mess with players is really there. Purposely kidnapping someone, bring them in the woods and breaking their legs. Force feeding a player water and food and leaving them on a desolate island far off into the ocean, etc. This would be a MUCH worse fate then being killed on site. Of course logging out during this might ruin the experience but a special system could be implemented. Those that do log out while handcuffed are immediately killed but are sent to a special spawn point on the map that makes getting back to civilization laborious and suicide locations to respawn at normal spawns non-existent for a while (basically being respawned on an island with a long swimming time back to the coast). I would much rather be killed on site then kidnapped and have to go through all of the pain this experience might bring. This would give us vengeance seekers and internet psychopaths something to look forward to. Obviously to be able to pull something off like this requires quite of bit of resources and tactics as capturing someone alive, keeping them alive and having a working vehicle to travel the prisoner in all requires quite a bit of effort. This also adds another facet to clan wars, being able to capture enemy allies and asking for ransom (either food, money, weapons, vehicles, etc..). Just a suggestion I have been pondering as I was messing around with the handcuff mechanics.

are people trying to make the SA to friendly?
Adam.Stone replied to dgeesio's topic in General Discussion
I don't mind the KoS attitude right now. I usually try to communicate with a player and love the high tense atmosphere present when both players are armed and trying to come to an arrangement on how their travels will either continue or suddenly come to a permanent end due to death. I have something much worse saved up when the SA is completed. Killing someone on site will be a blessing if what I have in my mind becomes possible. I will capture, handcuff and once vehicles and boats are available bring the prisoner to a remote island, beat the crap out of him and then leave him on the island for him to either swim back or try to commit suicide. I'm guessing you will be allowed to drown yourself but if not this could be a pain for those bandits that really get on my nerves. If not, capturing an enemy ally and forcing the team to go get him on the island. The player left on the island will still be fully geared but without ammo and food/water. You force feed him to make sure he won't die too quickly and having heard gear will be hard to come by later he won't want to just commit suicide. There will be better alternatives to deal with KoS, especially once the uncounscious glitch is fixed it will be much easier to handcuff them and make them regret their KoS attitude. This game has a lot of potential, and I can't wait for it to be somewhat to the image I have in my mind. -
I play this game mostly in third person except for combat and specific loot situations. I love seeing my character's appearance and how awesome I find him to look with certain types of clothing. Whats the point of all this customization if I won't be able to see it? Everyone has the same advantages regarding 1st and 3rd person. I probably would stop playing this game if I was forced to play it in First Person only. One of the big draws to me were survival aspects and the large potential for customizing your characters appearance. Whether I want a military/police or civilian appearance is up to me. I want to see my character and removing the 3rd person aspect of the game will just make me go somewhere else. Im sure very few care but I am also sure this is an important aspect for other players as well. Third person also allows you to verify your surroundings in a quicker way. If the angles viewed is an issue and people complain I can understand but don't remove an entire aspect of the game for something of the sort. There are first person only servers for those who this is too big an issue. As a first person shooter Day Z leaves much to be desired but as both I find the game as close to perfection when it comes to character control and combat.
