    smells odors sugsmells gestion

    will there be in this game some sence of smells - detection of distinct smells that the player can smell "i smell fire /smoke/cooked food / something awefull/ etc". ?
  2. When i start dayz the screen resolution locks up at some very low vallue and i cannot chanege it . The happens on a laptop with amd hd gpu using win 8.1 Any help pls Other games and 3d apps run fine including arma3 so i assume the drivers are ok

    Items draw speed

    I have a suggestion about the way putting in or out items in inventory works and the inventory slots system Its about how fast you should be able to get and item out in your hands For example the inventory can be represented in color and pockets depending on how easy is to access certain items - if the item is in your pocket ,vests front pockets or a weapon holster you should be able to access it very fast , however if is deep in your backpack it should not be so easy to get it out .You might have to put the backpack in your hands or on the ground and then start moving items in or out -- I'm sure it will be very annoying to do this every time you have to put something in the bag but is't more realistic. For example you can be able to take items on the run and put them in your pockets but not in your backpack - to put them in the backpack you will have to stop and open it from the inventory menu and if you don't close it when you start running you may lose some items after a while . - A pistol in a backpack should not be fast and easy to access . - If stealth and stealing is introduced later in the game it will help make it more realistic - items in your side and front pockets of the backpack might be easier to steal than those put deep in the backpack . here a similar post >> http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/172733-clothing-pockets-separate-the-inventory-slots/

    how about adding 4x4 and low 4x4 ? The cars can be made to get stuck in on sand and muddy grounds - those with 4x4 can avoid it , those with 4x4 low can be used especially for climbing extreme hill degrees - where other cars will fail to produce enough power to go us a 4x4 low will succeed

    I think there should be more room for mistakes you avatar can make - more ways too mess up with the medical system ,the health ,and weapons.If you don't know how to use something trial and error is your friend; )

I got this suggestion when i saw some treads on the forums about people who want to make educational footage about weapons, tactics , survival etc using DayZ My idea is to introduce more ways the player can make mistakes witch can effect his survival success or be lethal to him - especially with weapons . If you are good at something in real life it should be same in the game right ? I think same goes with the opposite if you suck at something it will remain the same in the game until you see you are doing it wrong . But that not the case when it come with weapons in DayZ . You search for a weapon , you find a gun maybe and the start to wonder what kind of bullets do you need for it – you find some bullets witch fit the caliber , then you start shooting and killing people ... not a problem ... How do you know exactly what is right way to hold that gun so that it wont slip of the recoil and drop it? What position to take , what grip to use and if the bullets that you put in the gun are really for it ? Not everybody knows all those things by default -- its up to you- what you know and what training you had . There should be more choices for the player to make how to use a weapon and possibly learn from the mistakes. For example when holding a semi automatic pistol you really have to watch your grip while firing. All who had weapon training or have watched some weapon safety footage probably will notice a bad grip and will want to change it. All the rest might chose a random grip which will affect their recoil , make them drop the weapon and possibly hurt them seriously ( thumb on the recoil ) The same goes with the rifles , shotguns , bows , crossbows etc. I suggest that when you find a new weapon there will be some option from the inventory and enter a menu where you can chose your favorite holding position , your grip and your stance with it or have mapped keys witch cycle them – if you ignore that and don't pay attention to all those things they will be set randomly by default so you cat pick up a bad grip for a pistol , damage your hand and be unable to shoot property for some time witch might cost you your life or drop your gun because of bad holding. Disable the automatic weapon shouldering and assign a key for it. --Different weapon grips: for semi automatic pistols , for revolvers for rifles ,for shotguns , for bows , and crossbows --witch you are able to chose and set or cycle --Different weapon holdings: shouldered , non- shouldered , half shouldered above the shoulder under the shoulder (wrong holdings) , in the hands , with one hand -- all the cant be set or cycled --Different body stances military and non military - amateur that can be cycled those will result in different recoils or get you hurt Another thing is bullets and the magazines – i know that certain close calibers and mags can fit the wrong weapon, chamber a bullet and fire but will lead to some bad consequences – introduce different calibers the the came with are very similar and can be chambered but will jam your weapon break it , make the bullet explode in the chamber etc. Shooting while running non shouldered – you can do that in real life with very high recoil and possibly drop the weapon . Weapon safety switches and finger safety -if your finger is not on the trigger no matter if you are aiming or just holding your weapon will not fire on mouse key -it will help with misfiring Being able to fire the gun at any time when is in the hands if the safety is off and four finger is no the trigger despite of the holing positron .     View distance fog color

    Here's a suggestion for better distant fog view in Dayz - make it change color from blue to whatever the skys color is at the moment .     Graphics Visuals Rendering

    I like dayz graphics they are not the best, but work very nice for this type of game , however several things bother me that did not change for good in any patch - even got worse One is the processes quality - i really engoy the nice bloom effect but there is no option to enable it separately from the rest of the post-process effects . The radial blur , the dept of field and the overall screen blurriness witch the post-process puts ruins my visual game play-will there be an option to enable them separately ? The ambient occlusion - i really miss the options to chose between SSAO and HDAO - ~I think the AO improves allot the visuals and the contrast witch is a bit low in dayz .Sadly with the latest patch the ao is liked to the rest of the post processes effects. Recently iI started playing Arma 3 and i really enjoyed the visuals there , i would love to see more rendering features of arma 3 in dayz , what do you think? Here are some pictures from current dayz patch and arma 3 editor with it, you decide witch is better ; )

    I guess most people will say so or wouldn't care enough to bother. Thats my opinion i just prefer the ARMA 3 style of rendering. Maybe i'm comparing unripe oranges to ripe - not the same : )
