I keep losing full ammo boxes because I put them down and forget to pick them up before running off. Same when I have an M4 and a Mosen. I switch to compass, then run away forgetting I dropped my rifle on the floor because I was holding it due to the rifle on my back.

Who cares? You are going to die in this game. Whether a player, zombie, glitch it server reset does it, get used to losing all your gear. I don't think you will by default when switching computers. I the the person before me who said it happened to them may have started a new spawn for another reason (glitch, char wipe server, etc..). Try it. If you lose gear so what? Wheb I lose gear after cleanly logging out and next day log in, I simply accept the fact that I died in my sleep. Which is plausible in a zombie apocalypse world of fiction.

I did and read a lot of what people think about it but that doesn't mean it will never happen. I've played the mod outside of steam and when released on steam and now the alpha standalone. I'm also a developer. As much fun as it is to develop a game you love and you know others are loving also, the profit is what matters and player options well draw in more customers without money grabbing gimmicks.Allow day light out night time only servers, put the server time in the server browser and if you want to encourage a certain type of behavior, add achievements. People love achievements. Make some only achievable at night or during the day or any way possible. It's alpha, I don't think anyone dating "they'll never do that" is a very open way to discuss development and ways to make it an even bigger success than it already is and will become. For instance, hardcore only servers for those who want the super real hard as Hell game experience. P.S.- on my phone. Sorry for autocorrect typos. More of a pain to fix than leave.

I bet server hopping would be greatly reduced if the server browser provided a lot more info. Starting with displaying the time of day so people will know for sure if it's day or night. Also show if there are any lock downs like "first person" only. At least you give the legit hoppers a way to reduce their hopping and then focus on the illegitimate ones.

Perhaps only show names of people on your friends list and not strangers.

I saw you. I saw you beat another player to death right there on the street in front of me. On a No PvP server. And it made me angry. I was going to teach you a lesson. I didn't see your text until it was too late. I didn't know he asked you to kill him. Lolololol! So sorry. ;)

I find servers that say no KoS or no PvP. It's an admin message you see when logging in. I've only seen it enforced one where the server msg said any PvP would force a server restart and it did. I've been killed on every one of these servers. I do not believe any servers are friendly. Not as long as they are open to the public. I think they have their place for noobs and server hopping raids. In the current alpha state, I like to hear up on those servers then hit almost full servers for some action and antics. Mostly testing things out. There do tend to be more friendly and helpful people on those servers and I tend to help more and not fire first when on one of them. But it had cost me.

When you go to a pond- put the canteen in your hands and move around until you see "Drink Water" then use mouse wheel to scroll through options- select "fill bottle".
