  1. Being s hero is the biggest challenge in Day Z. KoS is easy. Banditry is not as easy. Lone wolf survival is the easiest (all you have to do is avoid human contact as zed and supplies ate not the real threat). But being a helper, a hero, helping others to survive, surviving yourself and actively going after armed players, that's the most difficult path. And yes, it is rewarding if only psychologically.

Reduce The Common Lag In Dayz [Tutorial]

I don't see what the problem is. Try it, if it doesn't work or has some negative effect, undo the changes. Simple as that. OP gets beans.

How Many Of You Play In A Clan Or A Group

I play in a clan, with a group and alone. Prefer clan, when clan not available I join another group and when the first 2 are unavailable I play alone. I will have my beans Damn you!

    So I Ran Through Vybor....

So I ran through Vybor and aggrovated a few Zeds. Knowing I can out run them, I leave them be. They give Chase and I quickly hear their complaints fade in the distance. I swear, 5 minutes at least of running. Zeds long forgotten, I get hungry. Sit down under a tree in the middle of a huge open field, nothing but nature I'm my sites as far as I can see. Start eating, eating and eating. About two minutes go by. I hear the grunt of a Zed. Thinking it's a rabbit I ignore it. Then again only louder. Kneeling while eating I turn to have a look at the bunny. Aaaahhh! A Zed! It hits me before I can get up and draw my axe. Holyfuck! What the hell? I'm bleeding, I hack get down only to discover she has a partner. Geeze! Two? Yep, 2 Damn zeds followed me for miles. I'm thinking a glitch. I was running in a locked direction and never changed course. I bet they glitches when they have Chase and the code that stood then from running never kicked in. Either way, Fuck those things. They are more dangerous and scary than ever and only getting worse. Great, one more thing to fear and raise my blood pressure. You have been warned.

    My Character Screams In Pain

When the pain is from azed, it's typically antibiotics that accelerate the healing process to stop the moaning.

    So I Ran Through Vybor....

Ha, the trolls come marching one by one hoorah, hoorah.... I was surprised that a zombie (let alone 2) would chase me undetected for so long a run. Not pissed, not complaining. I actually like the fact that they caught me by surprise the way they did and yes, I wanted to give a heads up. Don't take these things for granted as being harmless. I am fully geared. I chose to ignore them, they choose differently. That is all.

    So I Ran Through Vybor....

Not pissed but Yes ignorant, because it in the middle of no where it's rabbits that sounds like zombies which cause the lack of worry. But not any more.

How Many People Were Killed By You?

Over 300 hours in, less than 10. I bet I've been killed around 30 times though. I know, I know, survival game...I'm doing it wrong.

Is Optimization Ever Going To Happen?

I wish I would have seen this before posting my response. Glad we are on the same page.

Is Optimization Ever Going To Happen?

No. The devs have no interest in optimization. *rolls eyes and walks away.*

    Quit Talking About Killing Bandits

Absolutely. Do you own the houses you are stealing food and supplies from? No? You are a bandit. Do you own the gear you "found"? No? You are a bandit. STFU you whiney little pansy, Everyone is a bandit to some degree or you die. You can't tell me how to mis/use words. You must be a bandit! *Goes off to hunt bandits*
  14. Just wanted to say, I've spent the past few days with the "Sheriff" and his "posse". What a nice bunch of guys. Certainly add a new flavor of hand play to the world of DayZ. I think I'll be a semi-regular. I know I will. Lots of fun in such a danger filled environment. Hazzah from Pope Sinphaltimus Exmortus.

The most common 'cheat' used in DayZ...

I've said it before I'll say it again. Stupid idea. That's an invasion of privacy. What about the fact that you could pick up personal conversations that are not in game chatter from people's homes over a public network. What about if someone gets a phone call during game from a doctor and have to give very personal private info over the phone? Yes, people multitask and can take a phone call and play at the same time, you really think always on is a good idea? I can't believe how little anyone thinks things through with such ludicrous ideas. It's a game, get over it. You can't seriously consider this amount of realism is acceptable over that amount of realism despite any dis/advantages, it's stupid. This thread is fielm of trolls, especially the OP. I'm beside myself that it's still going. I for one will ignore it from now on. Get over it people.this is madness.

Zombies Allowed To Hear Direct Comms

I've snuck up on zombies that didn't detect me until I screamed at them through my voip. They get aggro'ed so I think it is already in game. The mic always on is an invasion of privacy. I can't tell you how many times a friend would put down his head set to walk away and we would hear everything going on in his house. Mic always on will never happen. Bad idea. Also, I like to listen to music while I play, you want that blaring out over chat all the time? Nope, not ever.

    Destroying Weapons/loot

The past few times I've been killed I can hear the killer emptying more rounds into my already dead body. I presume, ruining everything on purpose. No inclination to loot. I guess you can only ruin stuff in someone else's inventory. You could try putting things in a pack and then shooting the pack. When I'm on a mean streak, I'll just pick up the extra m4 and ditch it in the bushes, pond or garbage pile.

    Logging In With Nothing?

I keep telling myself that when I log off I'm actually laying down for a nap. Sometimes I get killed in my sleep and I don't know why, well, because I was sleeping at the time.

A Total Noob Question: Where Is My Dayz I Paid For?

The DayZ you paid for should be arriving in about 1.5 to 2 years. Be patient and be happy you paid for it now. Those who wait will pay a lot more. Edit: just kidding. Glad you sorted it out.

At least he didn't combat log like one of the in game voip users did. I guess in game voip users are all cheaters.

Wait, did he say Rick in walking dead didn't use teamspeak? Well Rick can't Sprint from city to city across half a continent non stop without getting tired either. WTF? Starving to death in a day? WTF? Oh wait, Zombies? WTF?

The most common 'cheat' used in DayZ...

Your not even open for debate. It's your way or its wrong. Nice waste of time this thread is, no beans for you. Everyone is going to play how they prefer abd are able to play. I don't always play with friends, many times I lone wolf it with no coms. But that's my choice. You must be a tea party supporter. Stop trying to take people's freedom of choice away. That's what single player games are for.

The most common 'cheat' used in DayZ...

Because typing for live chat sucks. And not everyone has a radio/transmitter. And I prefer ts. It's how *I WANT* to play.

The most common 'cheat' used in DayZ...

Bottom line, it's a personal choice. If you like full immersive game play, go for it. I like communicating with people I play with. Would be impossible to meet up and play together otherwise.
