And you already said the reason why it would be bad, and it wouldn't be relegated to only clans- any group of randoms could get together in direct and get their freshie rage on, when its the same one or two guys on the outskirts of town picking them off. Hell, if the freshies want to continue their march of the lemmings into town via the same route, they deserve the same fate of the lemmings over and over. Can't fault the guys who are capitalizing on it. This is legit, have an admin-only spectator slot available. Although, this could also be abused- but at least the chance for abuse would boil down to who happened to be logged in as admin at the time. On a clan server, you're either going to get overly abused by members who want it all for themselves, much like it is now- or you'll wind up with excellent admins who want their server community to grow and prosper, and will administer the server as such.

Are you able to reuse the mag normally, as in fill it with regular ammo and then have a regular mag? I have never run into anyone with one of these hacked mags before. The handful of cheaters I have encountered prefer teleporting with auto shotguns, not using M4s.

dayzdb.com/map is your friend. sounds to me like you spawned outside svetlo, and took a turn into the debug plains (aka off the map.) you have 2 options- return the way you came, or wait to die of dehydration/starvation.

If I wasnt in the habit of carrying surplus weapons/ammo/gear for fallen teammates, I think I could pull it off with a minimum of effort. I like the all black kit though... sporting the black pants atm but havent seen a black tactical shirt in any condition in ages.

Admin controls are VERY limited right now. Apparently vilayer provides a little more than gameservers, but if you can ban with your GSP you are a step beyond what gameservers will allow me to do. About the only way to get them is as you said- get close. Kill them, and then go interact with their corpse. It might tell you their name when you check for pulse, but if they have already logged then all it will tell you is unknown entity.

Well shit. I have been thinking off and on about dropping gameservers for a multitude of reasons, but the ability to ban is a damn good reason to move elsewhere. If BI allows it, but gameservers refuses server owners the ability, seems to me yet another valid reason to let my term expire and move elsewhere. I already have an ARMA3 server with vilayer, and their support has been exceptional with that server, not to mention the depth of access I have on the back end to admin the server. If they are even close to that with dayz I might just have to start setting an MOTD letting my regulars know we will be moving.

Right to KICK- not ban. If that were the case then there would be the option to do so, either while logged in as admin on the server (I have 2 options, kick and mute), or via the control panel (gameservers has no function to allow banning, nor do they allow access to BEC.) I am unaware of any GSP that allows actual banning, or the facilities to do so.

I think its a bit sketchy at the moment, tbh. I have been killed inside buildings, through windows, and conversely have attempted to kill people through windows who, by rights, should have dropped yet managed to escape unscathed. Yet I have managed to kill someone on the top level of the ATC at Balota, sniping from the top of the Chapevsk apartments, while shooting them through the wall locker on that top floor. Go figure.

Awww, I'm so sorry I played a sandbox game in a way that interferes with your own experience. Sadly, I have nary a fuck to give.

The only real change I would like to see is to find an LRS somewhere non-military. It's an 8x scope, which is a common type of hunting scope- not specifically sniper oriented. Hence, it should be found in towns and villages more often than at the airfields. Other than that I think the loot spawns are pretty legit.

I never try to rob anyone. That requires way more effort and stress than I am willing to put into the game right now :) Disarming is a must, though. I wouldn't want to take their weapon- I already have my own- but I would not allow them to vacate the area with means to do to me, what I would surely do to them if roles were reversed. They can come back for their weapon after I am clear of the area but I have no faith in leaving a man armed and allowing him to leave my line of sight, just to flank and kill me. Cynical outlook? Sure. But it has kept me alive long enough ;)

Valid point, but at this point in the game's progress (in my experience), EVERYONE is a valid threat. If you leave them be, without leting them know you are even around, you run the risk of them finding you on their own- and I know what the odds of survival are there. If you *do* identify yourself and demand compliance, the only ones who are going to comply are the true noobs- the ones who just started playing. A seasoned player is most likely going to find some wiggle room in the situation to fight back and prevent their own robbery/ disarming. I prefer not to give anyone at all any wiggle room or chance for escape. Death to everyone I see, is my only assured means of living til the next encounter.

LOL well... so the macro works great in game but is still funky as hell. I was trying to reply to a post here and the macro just spammed W's across. When I hit W, it went into sprint mode and typed W's twice as fast lol. Had to delete the macro entirely in order to be able to type, haha.
