what the fuck is this "bolting" bullshit? its called reloading, or chambering a new round. "Bolting" is what you sissy-ass snipers do when your shots miss and your intended victims bum-rush you with M4's and magnums. bolt2bōlt/verbverb: bolt; 3rd person present: bolts; past tense: bolted; past participle: bolted; gerund or present participle: bolting 1. (of a horse or other animal) run away suddenly out of control. "the horses shied and bolted" (of a person) move or run away suddenly. "they bolted down the stairs" and as far as seeing where your round hits, left click and HOLD to see the impact- you wont get the animation until you release the left mouse button.

I shot 247/250 when I qualified on an M16A2, on a wet and breezy day at Parris Island. Yes I am a better marksman than most (well, was.) Does not change the fact that the weapon is indeed capable of making those shots, at those distances. If you understand how the sight picture works- and believe me, any idiot can be trained to line up iron sights- you have a very good chance of making those long shots. 200m is childs play.

So how would you TS haters view this situation: Game drops me in kamy as a fresh spawn. Logged out fully geared in the woods south of svetlo to drop the kids off, come back and log in as a freshie. Nice. So I make that run- through elektro and cherno, all the way to balota. along the way I meet up with some random dude. got a nicely kitted m4 with magpul parts and an acog- i havent seen a functional acog in many days- but I have no way to liberate it from him. oh well, been rolling with mosins for a while... my buddys on ts get wind of the situation and decide to help. they head southbound from where they are, in time to intercept. i roll with unknown dude through elektro and cherno to balota. we stop along the way for food and water but very little else to be found. he isnt all that well geared, just that nice m4, so we agree to split the loot at balota. my buddy shows up outside the jail and camps. He knows who is who because I have been telling him on ts. Unknown guy goes into the jail with me, and goes in the cell to loot. My buddy shoots him but doesnt kill. Guy gets up, bandages, and gets under the stairs. I tell my buddy on ts, of course. I tell random unknown guy im staying hidden since i have no weapons. Random guy decides to eat, at which point I tell my guy he's clear to come in. I now have a sweet m4. Dick move, or clever manipulation of a situation? Who cares, I got a weapon now :D

My squad has had 8 at once on roaming missions, but we usually break down into smaller teams for ease of control. Never seen more than 5 or 6 against us though.

Mojo I disagree. He posed a great threat- he was in the OP's area of operations as a tango, not a teammate. DayZ being DayZ, that means that he was a viable taget as a non-friendly. The interaction went down well- and finished excellently because the noob logger had no apparent idea that you cant do that anymore. Beans for the OP, even though I would be pissed if he did it to me- only because I failed at situational awareness and wasnt able to do it to him first.

10/22 is a very intelligent addition to the game arsenal and has much relevance. They are very common, and very inexpensive. Very moddable as well. Would actually make a very good overall weapon in the game. Properly kitted it can be either an assault weapon or a sniper rifle.

They arent cheating. They are violating the TOS. Two different animals. Search the forums, there are ample posts defining what you can do in this situation.

As I rule I KOS. However, I have been known to temper my murderous urges in light of the situation at hand. If I have un- or inder-geared teammates in the vicinity, I try to assist or protect them before I begin a murderous rampage that may or may not end well for me. Or, if the crew is on a detain and harass mission, I will turn down the kill-o-meter... for a little while. Plus, it's hard to recruit new crew members if we kill 'em all.

I murdered a freshspawn today with an SKS solely because I needed to expend that last round to reload the magazine. It felt nice to clear up that inventory slot.

rocket made the game to suit HIM, not YOU. Hence, 3PP. If you do not care for the playstyle, then go elsewhere. This is clearly a game beyond your ability or skillset. Also, at the risk of being repetitive (because you have been told this before), go play in a 1PP server, where absolutely NO ONE playing 3PP can possibly disturb your "immersion". Now, barring that... stop being a little pissant of a troll for no other reason than to start a flame war. You have gotten no end of excellent, concise replies, and all you give back is "WAAAHHH YOU GUYS SUCK FOR PLAYING 3PP EVEN THO IT DOESNT AFFECT ME AT ALL WAAAAAHHHH". You got good answers, you got definitive answers, and yet you still insist on poking the bear solely because you cant hack it in 3PP. Good. We get it. Stay in 1PP server and you will NEVER have an issue.

I have a growing crew and we like to play together. our server is not one of those that stays full all the time, but it does get population spikes throught the afternoon and evening. Were my server to be full, and I had two crew members wanting to get in, you are damn right I am going to kick a pub to make room for my teammates. And no one is forcing you to join a clan-hosted server either. Join one, and expect that the clan members will take precedence over your pubbing self- you didnt pay for the server nor contribute anything to it, why do you deserve special treatment? Wait for your own private hive and then you wont have to worry about being kicked by an "abusive admin" who is not specifically violating the TOS by kicking a random player to make room for a teammate. This. This is exactly how I dealt with dupers. Restart it, and they will rejoin...but if you shut it down for a few minutes, they will have already found the next server to thrash and desync, at which point yours will be good to go.

dunno what eveeryones issues are, because i just did a couple hours on 2 diff servers and have noticed no problems at all. framerate stayed the same, game ran smooth, etc. maybe try bug reports and attaching a copy of dxdiag.txt to the report? could be you all have a hardware and/or software config thats causing the issue. my biggest bitch is that gameservers (at least) still has admins locked out of restarting their servers, even though the server is up and running. Defaulting server time to GMT is stupid; at the very least the default should be server (local) time. Maybe in the future...
