yeah thats basically it, adding NEAF and svetlo to finish it off and head south for battle. or reverse, if you spawn outside of berezino. <2hrs from bambi to fully geared going that way.

We had a chill night tonight, I only killed one bambi :D Got shot after the fact by some roving carebear patrol, but escaped. I think we all got too drunk last night and suffered too much today to put much effort into it, haha. Tomorrow though, tomorrow it is on.

can someone find that pic of the 'path of the warrior' from a couple weeks back? cant find it to save my life, but its an excellent route. No way you get to the end and arent fully geared in under 2 hours.

All of my gear is ruined atm, and I dont mind. It still functions as storage, and tbh as a sniper I prefer the look of ruined ttsko gear.

lets see...starting fresh, 3 days of gameplay is average, with each session being a solid 4 hours. current char is going on 8 days, with one no-play day, and there were a couple of long sessions (6+ hrs) in the mix. I have been shot 4 times, bled out twice to be fixed up by my teammates, replaced my 45, lost almost the entirety of my inventory, and all of my clothing and gear is ruined. However, I have racked up well over 2 dozen kills, most of them undergeared guys running back to their bodies during an epic 3 hour standoff in solnichny. [DUST] clan, you remember me? The sniper you never found? Almost looking forward to getting killed so I can regear again.

And yeah, doing it for the profit factor turns it into a job, and/or a business. fuck that. i already have a job that keeps me busy enough, and when i get the time to spend on this gaming hobby of mine, i certainly would rather play than devote all of my free time to admin-related stuff. the mundane layout and look of our forums is plenty indicator that i would rather play than make it all shiny. it is what it is, and what you make of it. if you can pull down a little extra every month after donations, good for you. thats not what i do it for, though. i go into a rental agreement knowing full well that its MY money thats going to be paying for the server, and the donations may never come. if you dont go into it with that foreknowledge, youre gonna have a bad time.

which is why i have my donations sent to paypal. no reason gameservers should collect interest on any donations.

I was twitch streaming while we were rolling 5 deep and scouting Solnichny, and encountered scattered enemy opposition- or so we thought. Turns out we ran into a group of [WASD] who also had a stream going. If you look at the steam stats of currently playing, dayz has never passed more than 10k online at one time (that I have ever seen.) personally I know several people who have bought it, installed it and never played it. They are the type of people who think, OMG big title for cheap! and grab it solely because of the hype. then I know a bunch more who also bought it over the hype, but actually *did* play for a little while, til the bugs, or clunky mechanics, or some other "broken" facet of the game made them put it down...but they still have intent to play as alpha progresses, albeit not daily. then there are some of us who have made this alpha our #1 game. sales are great, from their accountants POV, but really arent an indicator of just how many actually play the game.
