    Deeper character creation

    I'd love to see this, but i doubt it will make it on the roadmap since again we and the devs are subjugates of the arma2 engine :( if the body would change due to how much food/water it gets would be very immersive and also give the bandits a hint who might have more food loot ;)

    Melee Balance To Reduce KOS

    remember that the arma2 enginge doesnt have a melee feature. you realise that the current dayz melee is some adaptation, since you hear bullet sounds when you hit a wall with your axe ;) dont expect too much on the melee, if they fix it to something close that has been suggested here in a resonable time i would be very surprised.

    SUGGESTIONS FROM A NEW PLAYER

    some good and fresh points on imersion and gameplay. dont expect to much since its the old arma2 engine and i was surprised how old the standalone feels, but it got me hocked anyways... some of it is already on the roadmap... KOS is a playstyle that bothers me also, especially since its not very realistic, shot to the body and instant black screen. its needs a time to death on non leathal hits, bluring bloody screen with less accurancy but still 5-60 seconds time to death, so you can at least take one or two swings or shots at the KOSer. I hate KOSer and i devoted myself to help ppl. and team up stand up to bandits with KOS practice. true point that some ppl. turn to hunting PC's since they are bored with the rest! i really second the home or building part. its on the roadmap but i do hope they implement something like homebuilding but stored with your profile, so you can return to it and gather and craft more and new items. it should have a security system (locks and keys) that can be brocken with the right combination of tools. so it would not me your unloosable locker! also the teamup with friends needs to be adressed better

    Name of the game: Survival.

    i think this would very well go with the lore of the game survival! i even put a notch of rpg to it. have several survival ranks according to your survival time. e.g. 30min. greenhorn 2h avarage survivor 5h hardend survivor 10h survival specialist etc. this would make it even more dramatic!

    Delayed death

    i totally second this approach! but being shot leathaly should have its negative impacts. aiming should get bad and a blur, blood pumping screen should also make it more difficult. but the instant dead should only occur 70% on headshots and and rest of body shot should have a random death timer with the above effects

    na a swiss army pocket knife that is the survivors dream since it can fix almost everything :rolleyes:

    Driving/Flying Mechanics

    the driving mechanics and physics of arma3 would be nice! in general what the driving really needs is repairs with spare parts and fuel. if you run out of both you walk or some hicker might have a part, ducttape to fix it or has some gas on him etc. shooting at vehicels should damage them with the need of repairs...

    Holsters

    in arma it always destroyed my imersion to see holsters without the gun you carry in it. i read that the engine is making it almost impossible... if there will be holsters displaying you handgund or even multiple handguns i will go down on my knees and shout "HALELUJA" ;)

    NPCs survivors

    I miss NPC's as well and suggest a simple implementation without much extra features on the NPC's than in vanilla Arma. In Arma2/3 you can join NPC in your group/squad and give them various orders. In DayZ it would be nice to have lets say 100 NPC's spread across the map, if you approach them you could take up to lets say 3 in your group and use the commands that already exist in the engine like follow, go there, attack etc. Now you have 2 followers that can scout for you or you can setup a trap since its hard to tell who is PC or NPC... I'd like to see this since its really hard to team up with PC's The only thing im not shure is how to move items to your NPC in your group... i think there is a way in arma but im not shure. If not NPC surviors the group/squad system could be adapted for animals and have dogs etc. follow you and given orders!
