I had a very good time playing DayZ last night. I am still new to the game. I started with the DayZ mod and I could not get a proper handle on the GUI and game controls. With this new standalone version, it is easier to navigate the GUI. I was running around one of the cities on the coast. I had picked up a map, crowbar, and a few other items. I group of six well armed players approached me and shot me. I was alive and bleeding, so one of the players said hey let me bandage you! I was optimistic about the group and I had hoped to join them. As I was talking to one of the players, I saw the character hands fall behind my back and a message prompted "You're being handcuffed." At this point it was too late. The players stripped me down to my undergarments and they ordered me to march. At this point I knew I was dead. So I began to role play a little bit unintentionally. "I'll tell you where I buried the money." I said. One of the players replied "We don't want your money." I could not persuade them so I said, "My friend has a tank and he's coming this way." I knew they wouldn't take me seriously and they didn't. After marching a while, they set me free. I took the chance and sprinted down the road only to be gunned down. I really enjoyed being violated the way I did. My friends heard my whole conversation in Skype. It was a fun memory and hope to have many more like it in this game. Thanks Hall and Bohemia!
