    Identifying other players

Place your reticule over someone, when it's over someone, their name comes up. When the reticule is moved, it fades and disappears. Limit the distance to say, around 30m (100ft). It's simple, not overcomplicated, I've seen it done this way before and it works well.

    Surprisingly Friendly Encounters

I completely believe you. This is what happened to me... I have no issue with people doing KOS, as long as it's 'honest'. If you're gonna shoot, fight or whatnot, do it. If you're gonna be friendly, be friendly. I choose not to KOS, I try my best to help. We were at Balota airfield tonight and helped out two guys, gave them compasses, water bottles and some other stuff. When we were running away from there, parting friendly, they shot us in the back and killed us. Goddamn cowards. Nothing but cowards. That annoys me. A pussy shoots someone in the back. There was no need for the fight, we weren't a threat, they had established that. We were all armed with 5.56 rifles, but they chose to do that. But, that's part of the game at the end of the day. It just makes me more wary. Soon after when I spawned back in, I was approached by a guy with an axe, decked out in camo gear. I thought I was doomed. He ran up, gave me some stuff and told me he would help me. We ended up talking, later on got onto Teamspeak with each other and we met up with his mates. 5 of us ended up running around with each other and now we're on Steam with each other, forming our own group to adventure with. So out of something bad, came something good at least. Had a bad experience which led to a great one. Oh and we found those assholes later, easily distinguised by the combo of masks and helmets... I clubbed one of them with a shovel and my mate unloaded some pistol rounds into them and killed them :D what an evening!!! It's things like this that make the game worth playing!
