Our server is with Gaming Deluxe, cant fault them. They always keep you in the loop what is going on or when there is downtime or any problem that come up and very quick to react etc. Good pings for me, I get about 10/15ms. We do have a box with them, for TS/BF3/DayZ SA all run fine with no lag etc.

I am sort of 50/50 with this to be honest. Half of me does think that, how can you leave your "baby" work that you built up and just leave in Alpha stages, well lets hope the time he leaves it might of changed a lot and more near the beta just in a years time. I think they just need more direction and discipline. As from watching/reading all the videos/Interviews I always got a sense he never really had a clear images in his head, how to get A and B problems sorted, but wants to jump to C and D problems, with out getting A and B sorted first. However that he has done it for a good number of years from the mod to the standalone version.

As the engine is at alpha stage this has not been fully optimized to work with any GPU ( AMD/Nvidia) and reach the max achievable output for the render engine etc. So at the moment, its more so down to the CPU/Memory to do the main work. The other things you can do is check all windows updates are done along side with drivers updates and even getting the latest BOIS updates ( Only do this 100% if you know what you are doing as it can brick your computer )

I have been seeing this a lot lately as well that pops up on our server. Its been getting more and more.

If you feel its a bug, then do the following steps: 1) http://feedback.dayz...y_view_page.php Go here, make an account if you do not have one at all. 2) Sign into the account making sure its all done sorted i.e. activated etc. 3) Log in. Then at the top there is a link says "View Issues" 4) Then in the search box, type the key words or the same as an example "Died - Legs broken etc" then click on "Apply Filter" 5) Look at the most viewed/commented on problem, or which fits your best problem. 6) Then in the ID column, you will see loads of numbers click on this, you should see "VOTE UP" or "VOTE DOWN". Then click on the radius button next to "VOTE UP" then, click on "VOTE" 7) All done. This will save many duplicates of bug reporting and will save the DayZ Dev Team time when looking at problems. I do hope this helped. You can also add your own note at the bottom of the bug report which can be added as well. Just fill in the box with more added information and click on "Add Note"

I would say the megaphone is a good idea, but then again depends how good the item is or state. So in which, it could affect the volume of the megaphone. So a bad damage one can only do 10% output of its volume. While damage one can do about 25%, worn ones can do about 40% etc.

Don't matter how, well the game is coded or covered by BE/VAC etc - People will always find away to cheat the system. Only when, they show how its done and that's how the loophole / security code problem can be closed off to stop doing it. Don't matter what the game is from Battlefield 4, Counter Strike to what ever else may come out in the foreseeable future. There will always be cheaters, just gain the unfair advantage of over people. In which they just cant play the game fair and the truth to be known they are most probable just utter crap at playing games, so thus they have to cheat to "fill bigger and better".

This game is like marmite, you love it or hate it. It has very good ideas for a very well potential game and yet there are some bad things about the game, in which all games has there good and bad points. I like the idea of weather which affects you, i.e. clothes, health etc I do like the idea of tents, which players can put up and yet leave them but still open for people to loot and find. If Dean plays his cards right, this can be a very good game indeed and yet rewarding and deadly at the same time. As some people can use the tents idea, as bait to kill people. So much potential for this game.

*Touch wood* I have not run into nor seen a hacker on our server, or other servers. We just see people with really bad names!

I got to admit, this is a good. The person who ever had it before hand, might of left notes where the best loot locations is or rare/or meet up points to trade etc. This can be a good view into another person way of playing DayZ or what how they play. This can also be used to "lure" players into false places and then can be used to rob people. So when ever seeing people notes, always take it with a pinch of salt or send someone to check it out the place(s) stealthy. Then again any item in the game can be used for good/bad points.

The only thing I can suggest at least, if you look at the FPS guides that people have done on the game. Try searching the forums, at the moment with the game built state its more down the engine which will work more so on the CPU/Memory for the time being, while they tweak the engine graphics to render on the graphics card. ( Link here to one at least : http://dayzintel.com/dayz-standalone/dayz-standalone-performance-guide ) However the the memory is a tad low, but as its 32bit it might be ok and what Windows 32Bit, weather its XP/W7/8 etc They will not see pass 4 gig of memory. I would suggest updating to a good gaming PC, 8 gig of ram is plenty and 16 gig is just over kill! Also some times with the built-in graphics card is sometimes a hit and miss with them and that's if some games will support them at all etc. Hope this helped!

I don't really like the idea of this, soon as I spawn I want to feel like am always on edge. Even with the "safe" trading zones, if you want a safe trading zone, just go some where else which is random and where people will not go on mass and not near a City/Town. This is what I normal do, when trading now with people that I know 100%!

He is asking a question and is being legit and wanting to learn. It is always handy to know about this part, due to any lag/server problems might come up in due course. We used to do this on Counter Strike keeping the net_graph window open. So we knew if we was losing any packets from/to the server at all.

I am not sure my self. I would think they mean: Incoming Information / Outgoing Information / Latency

Please be patient and use the Search on the forums. You are not the only one who is having the problem. Like the previous post said its down to the GPU leak etc. However you can patch up the hotfix now from the experimental side. So if you want to play now with "no problems" do these steps. 1) Go into Stream, Right click on DayZ from your games list etc, Click on Properties. 2) Then, click on the Beta tab. 3) Then under the "Select the beta you would like to opt into:" click on the pull down menu, then click on " experimental - Preview testing version" 4) Let it patch, then play DayZ Just a little note, you can still connect to stable servers with this hotfix on, tomorrow the hotfix will be coming out live to address this. So once the patch has official come out make sure you do the same steps but change it back to "None: Opt out" as on Step 3.

Hahaha! Its a pain when that happen, I once went on the roof, went to climb down. Then all of a sudden I was shot across the north airfield. The people I was playing at the time, saw it happen shame that we never frapped it up. They said it was like a flying duck with a back pack on it.

Your welcome, I did download the hotfix yesterday under experimental patch. I was also able to play on the stable servers with no problem at all using the experimental patch still. I did try to patch it and went back to the stable version, it just bought back the memory leak.

The answer is no, you will have to start all over again. It is alpha. Well I take it he didn't look or research what the game was about and does not want to support the DayZ Dev Team/Community.

Have you tried with Steam to "Verify Integrity of game cache" files at all?
