Just wondering - I haven't been playing for very long but my mosin now only loads one bullet, is this normal?

When I started playing, I wasn't familiar with the game, all I knew was that people in this game are vicious and there's a lot of people who kill on sight. Some guy was running past me in new spawning area and I murdered him with my fireaxe because I was scared. Then I felt remorse and later found out that there are many people who don't necessarily killed unarmed folks. My first kill that wasn't a horrible mistake was when I ran up to the hill northeast of Electro and punched a guy to death as he was wiggling on the ground, desperately trying to shoot me as I ran around like a crazy person. Then I stole his Mosin Nagant and all his stuff and become the coolest kid around. He was shooting people down in electro, including my friend who had to run back from the middle of nowhere.

Yesterday 2 friends and I were running around in Electro and we'd kill people who were geared up to loot them. We died a few times but never the three of us at the same time and this went on for a few hours. We would bring back everything we got to our "HQ", a house that we picked. By the end, we had like 6 Mosin Nagants and 6 M4A1's with a ridiculous amount of ammunition laying on the floor. We ended up getting murdered by a few people, not sure how many they were. They came from the shadows and we just got mowed the hell down.... Then by an act of God, the server went down and they didn't get our stuff. It was really fun though. Urban warriors securing our sector and whatnot... Since dying, I got a Mosin with a long range scope that I got on a guy that I murdered, a bag nearly full of food and a can opener, some 60x 7.62mm bullets as well as my pistol, a fire axe and all kinds of cool stuff. The guy was sniping from the hill northeast of Electro so I felt no remorse when I shot him behind the head. I'll lose it all soon enough though.

How could you possibly enjoy doing this x_x. At least go after people who could potentially be a threat to you.

A friend and I have lost our entire gear and have respawned as a new guy a couple of times now and it's getting frustrating. Sometimes we can log out and we get our character back but most of the time we randomly just lost everything. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Thanks.

A friend and I have been playing this game and we've been having a generally good time despite the very alpha-esque feeling of the alpha. The bugs and whatnot are fine and good, but I've been killed a few times in very curious ways and I've been wondering if there already are hackers in this game? From reading around, it seems like they're present, which has me "scared" of playing the game considering that hours of scavenging goes away in seconds, and to make it worse, the person who causes it now has hours worth of my stuff for free! Now I don't mind it so much when I get murdered by people who are at least playing the game Anyway, I ask this because I was just getting home from work and I was excited to play some DayZ, I decided to join an empty server to get back into it before joining a server with some people in it and 30 seconds in, even though I wasn't in a particularly interesting area, I was getting shot at. So I'm basically wondering, perhaps someone else logged in and through some incredible luck happened to be where I was - or maybe it's possible to join a server and "teleport" near somebody and kill them. Maybe that's stupid but I'm just trying to figure it out because this has happened twice. Cheers and hopefully Dayz lives up to its potential :)
