    Build 1.7.2 Rolling Update

    So much QQ'ing over bugs and such. I thought that was what the beta was for. Ironing out bugs and polishing up. With regards to the DC/Ghosters - I think a log out timer would be grand. Remember, we're in Alpha, so make it an arbitrary time to start with (whatever Rocket feels is right), see what happens and change it (or remove it) as required. This whole project is kind of a giant experiment. People need to stop QQ'ing over everything. If you have paid for Arma 2 + OA and are disappointed with DayZ in any way, play Arma 2 + OA - They are the products you have paid for after all. Come back to DayZ when it's in beta, or has been released. With regards to some proposed solutions being inconvenient - well, that's just the nature of the beast. There is not a product in the world that everybody is happy with. Try to learn to accept things as they are... If it bothers you that much, play something else. Most important of all - Nobody forced anyone to buy anything. Just because you invested in something does not mean you have any right to dictate what should be done. Report bugs and/or have fun. That's what our job is at the moment. If you are not doing the latter, I suggest playing something else.

    I think it can safely be said that Gender reassignments would not be prioritised in a post apocalyptic future.... I think people would have slightly larger concerns. Like not getting their faces chewed off... To OP. Your post has resulted in me now resenting the LGBT, and will now oppose it as much as I can. I hope you are satisfied...

    Server Hopping Exploit Possible Fix

    You can swap servers. If you're hopping because of lag/framerate' date=' why would you want to re-join a server within 15 minutes anyway? Surely you would keep trying new ones until you found a good one? As I said, the ban would be SERVER SPECIFIC. i.e. If you quit US 1, you can't re-join US 1 withing fifteen minutes, but you can join any other server. With regards to server crashes, I'm pretty sure this can be worked around. i.e. If a the black list is wiped when the server is restarted, you can rejoin immediately. Yup, you got it! Thanks for the support.
  5. Hey people! A few people on the DayZ subreddit suggested I post this idea here. I don't know if it has been suggested here already, so forgive me if it has. Basically, implement a server specific ban for 15 minutes, once you have logged off, so you cannot hop to another server to gain the advantage, then switch back (at least within 15 minutes). I won't go into the pros and cons, as you can find more details by following the link below to the subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/v9oqg/server_hopping_and_mass_murder/ I am aware there are flaws, but please do not just attack the idea. Respond with alternatives or ways to improve upon it. Afterall, that is how progress is made! :)

    kronzky SP conversion

    As far as I was aware, Rocket released the Alpha primarily for stress testing, etc, so a Single Player version is kind of defeating the point of him releasing it in the first place. I think there are many players who get annoyed at not being able to join servers, etc, it would be logical for them to play the SP version, but this doesn't help Rocket, nor the rest of us, who genuinely want this game to succeed!
  7. YES However, players shouldn't have any other equipment, otherwise they will be walking-tins-of-beans, ripe for picking!
