Norge ftw, and yes, very close to Trondheim:) Another one is coming up with the prequel to those deaths that you've witnessed. -
DayZ Standalone Alpha: Accept the Darkness

Well, for me, the game became another game after I accepted the fact that I will eventually die at some point. And now the "starting all over again part" is a joy, a new experience, so I don't mind it when it comes, although it is frustrating sometimes. -
Dying in DayZ the first couple of times is traumatic, you can never prepare for it, 5 hours scavenging and in 1 sec all is gone. That snap of a bullet, then darkness. Love the game, thought I'd share.I'll be making another one, when we actually shoot back, and don't die... maybe.

This may be used inappropriately, but if you sprint towards a wall and press Esc (keep sprinting while the menu is shown) and log out then back in. You will teleport through walls. The server interprets your movements with a margin of error (the servers run at a tickrate of 15-20 fps with some hefty interpolation on top). I use it frequently because some of my comrades like to push me inside the wall of the admin building. EDIT: Really efficient on high ping servers.

Dramatic indeed. Drama sells, I've been told. I know, but I'm kinda desperate to play it right now, while I got time. In maybe a few weeks, I can't divert time into video games for a while. Found a daytime server yesterday though, after 15 hours in the dark. It was beautiful.

Don't get me wrong people, I love tense gameplay at night. But it's a bit too much. Maybe I'm quick to complain, we are after all alpha testers.

I don't have a issue with losing my character, bugging out, randomly dying. It's alpha, shit will happen, but this whole real time ordeal is pissing me off somehow. /endrant /ignoreoverdramatictendencies

Rolling Changelog: Stable Branch: 0.32.114557

They deserve it, indeed! I played through (almost ruined) the entire Christmas, and I was astonished I got updates every second day or so. A big thanks to the team for making me waste 80 hours! Ah well, time you enjoy wasting is not wasted. Looking forward to future updates. Just one thing, Dean, don't give us any fancy HUD or skill tree as people are suggesting. It is survival for a reason, I don't want to know my blood and hunger in numbers. We don't see those things IRL, and we shouldn't in here either. So far the system for ("subliminal" messaging) telling the state of yourself is great and the saturation/blurriness is a perfect measure for me. It helps on the immersion. The only thing I can justify is a statistic over how many you have helped and how many hours you've survived on the current character, it would be nice, gives you a right of bragging I guess. But then the bandit would need a statistic as well, to make it fair. Damn. But know this, I have nothing but trust in that you will make this one of my favorite games of all time, after the Half-Life series, of course. Interesting that I haven't picked up on that, means FAT (as in foods) in Norway but is also used the same way if things are awesome (FETT). Weird that I've never heard it used by a German before, or maybe I have, then forgot about it... Well, I agree, it is indeed fett that this update is coming and is so filled with new things to do. I guess some want their tacticoolness. And the more customization ingame, the more easily it will get to spot "badasses".
